Ono Erena Career in Review
I actually want to post this one-by-one via twitter, but i think it will be better here, and more people will read it. so, here you go...
Let's relive the career of Ono Erena, her career can be divided into 2 phase. The first is her AKB days and the second is her LesPros days. Ono Erena comes from a rich family in Tokyo, one of the source said that her parent spent about 50,000yen per month just for her clothes. Maybe because she is the only child in her family. Let's start with her first TV appearance, all the way back in 2002. At Nippon TV, 4 April 2002 She appeared in Monomane Battle 25 and played "Toshiie and Matsu" monomane. "Toshiie and Matsu" is NHK drama Maeda Toshiie and his wife, Matsu. Ono Erena took a role as Matsu and her friend played as Toshiie. After her play, the host asked "What is your dream?" , and she answered confidently "Geinoujin ni Naritai" (I want to be an entertainer). Then fast-forward to 26 February 2006, she was accepted as the 2nd generation of AKB48 and became part of Team K along with other 16 girls. Her first Theater appearance was Shonichi of K 1st stage at 1 April 2006 and her first appearance in AKB48 single is in Aitakatta, released at 25 October 2006. She said about her first theater, "I can still clearly remember the sensation of standing at the stage that day. And the nervousness, i was very nervous that i got stomachache at that time." She always being part of Team K since joining until her graduation. She was also part of special unit Himawarigumi, perfomed unit song Idol nante in H1 and Tonari no Banana in H2. She was also part of subunit Honegumi along with 3 other members. They released Hone"waltz that was used as theme song for NHK KaradadeAsobo. She was also part of special unit "AKBIdoling!!". Released Chuu Shiyouze. In AKB48 main singles, she never absent since her first inclusion in Aitakatta. In total she included in 17 singles. The last one is Heavy Rotation. That is including 2 times Senbatsu Election, being on rank 11 and 15 in 1st&2nd Election. She was eligible for 5th Election but not participating. She never participate in Janken Taikai. But for the record, her solo, First Love, is the only solo song that is included in AKB48 main singles, until now (and maybe forever) It is included as coupling song for Namida Surprise and that song got rank 26, 16 and 83 in RH 2010, 11 and 12. Moving along, she appeared as supporting role in Movie, Densen Uta, Higurashi no naku koro ni and :chikai, and Sankaku. and as a figurant on some other movie. She also became a seiyuu for 2007 OVA anime "ICE", also sung the OST, "Aisareru to Iu koto" in a sub unit ICE from AKB48. Then, as a model She released 3 Photobooks and featured in many magazines. She released the PB at 2008, 2009 and 2010. The last one being her graduation PB. She also released 2 DVD, at 2009, Ono Erena TV and Graduation DVD at 2010. She announced her graduation from AKB48 at 11 July 2010 during Surprise wa Arimasen concert. You can see the footage at Disc 4 of the DVD. She announced the graduation along with the withdrawal from the 1st Janken Taikai. She said she wants to study acting overseas. Her last theater performance was at 27 September 2010, K6 performance. That day's performance was closed with "Sasae". And with her graduation from AKB48, It ends the first phase of Ono Erena's career. Her 2nd phase was officially started when she posted in her new blog announcing her comeback with LesPros Entertainment. Her first work since then was "Vocalo Utattemita Studio", 6-episodes show about vocaloid. She hosted it along with Pokotan. The show was aired from 26 February 2012 until 13 May 2012, and continued with Voca Nico Night Live Stage, erepyon became the MC. She also got another NND broadcast ,"Erenavigation", bi-weekly show in Nico Nico Douga Live. "Erenavigation" consisted of 24 episodes, and had been airing from 29 February 2012 until 7 March 2013. Then she announced her comeback widely with another PB, "Tsunere! Kaette Kita Erepyon" that was released at 20 May 2012. And finally makes her own single debut with "Erepyon" that was released at 13 June 2012. She finished year 2012, with 3 singles , Erepyon, Erenyan and Say!!Ippai. Also performed in many Music show. The peak of her career was when she got Newcomer awards at Japan Records Award, but lose to Ieiri Leo for Best Newcomer. During year 2013, she released another 2 singles Kimi Waratta and Fighting Hero. The later became the soundtrack for her drama, Tank Top Fighter. TTF is consisted of 9 episodes and featuring Kawashima Umika, 9nine member and Nakamura Aoi, both of them are fellow LesPros talent. It was airing midnight from 18 April 2013 until 20 June 2013. She also released 1 album, titled ERENA, at 19 June 2013. And also performed at Tokyo Idol Festival 2013 at 2 stage. She also released a special photobook with "a certain photographer", and also released 3 DVD during her time with LesPros. The first "Erepyon the Movie" then "ERENA the Movie" and the last one "Hatachi wo Nozokimi". She also made a cameo appearances in some dramas, and also a supporting role in Mao Inoue's movie "Shirayuki Satsujin Jiken". And her adventure in entertainment world then ended with announcement that she resigns from LesPros Entertainment and her contract will be terminated per 15 July 2014.
