Meanwhile the Princes:
I decided to draw this thing based off of a bigger idea I had when the PPG reboot started using memes (so like… right from the beginning). Kids HATE memes/fads when adults or corporations who have no clue what they’re doing or why it was supposed to be cool or funny in the first place use them. ‘Cause then they just suck out your life essence and make you wanna die. So… clearly they should be used as a tool of evil! To destroy children! And what better lame-o to use a tool like that than THIS chimpy lame-o!
Anyway… enjoy/be terrified!
Honestly I think this is a good example of how a meme could be incorperated into a cartoon correctly
a sort of self-aware second-hand embaressment as opposed to ‘desperately trying to be hip’
this single post is better than the entirety of the ppg reboot
Last page of my sketchbook. I had no idea what else to do.

I’ve been trying to work on digital painting recently but I only like the outcomes when I draw the outlines on paper LOL. Here’s Armin!!
Armin Arlert aesthetic.
Here’s a big D&D art dump. I have a lot of D&D stuff, so I’m going to try and post it in clumps once a month or so cause I draw just way too much of it.
Aelen is a character I made for an evil game. I repainted his portrait cause there was just a lot I didn’t like about it, and every time I looked at it I just felt like the characterization was all wrong. The old version is further back on the tumblr if you care. His look changed quite a bit over the course of me playing him, but I’m still really fond of some of the older stuff. He technically died in the campaign I was playing him in, and became a crazy OP homebrew wraith/NPC, but I still can’t help drawing him from time to time. Who says necromancers have to look gross?

Art tips for when you’re feeling like your art isn’t good enough
(sorry in advance for wonky English. I am very lazy.)
Nobody really asked for this, but these are some things i constantly encounter whenever I talk art with people (both online and irl) that i find a biiit annoying (because they are extremely reoccurring subjects and I’m like, why haven’t you thought about it like this??? Why do you all think like this, stop!!) as well as completely understandable. They have mostly to do with a lack of drive, low self esteem, and thoughts that bring you down, all things that hinders your art progress! So, I thought I’d try and tackle them today!
“my art is never going to be as good as theirs” - listen, there are ALWAYS going to be people more experienced than you, so getting caught up on what you’ll never become isn’t going to get you anywhere, because it’ll only bring you down. Never see other artists as rivals, always see them as inspiration. They worked hard to become what they are, and if you work as hard as them, I’m sure you’ll get there too. Someday.
“this artist is so much younger than me and are ten times better…” - yeah maybe they started drawing earlier than what you did, or are just a very fast learner. Someone’s age does not dictate their ability to create art. You can start when you are five, you can starts when you are fifty. The quality of the end result is going to have little to do with your age, and more to do with the amount of experience you have. So even if you feel bad that someone is reaching ‘your goal’ faster or earlier than you, does not mean you should give up on your work!! If anything it should inspire you to work harder!!!
“their art style is amazing and mine suck” - someones art style does not have to appeal to everyone, what’s important is that it appeals to you. If you don’t like your own art style its probably because you don’t draw for yourself, and so it lacks personality. When you’ve been drawing long enough your art style is going to emerge sooner or later, because the definition of an art style is “‘how an artist likes to draw stuff”, very simply explained, which means they exaggerate certain traits to a certain degree that they find aesthetically appealing. So don’t stress it i promise it will come to you!
“I could NEVER draw that” - not with that attitude! Honestly don’t be lazy. Get to work!! The amount of work you need to put in to it might seem overwhelming but don’t stress. Do everything at your own pace and don’t make things to hard for yourself!! If you don’t want to draw something I’m not going to force you, but honestly there are some essentials you probably should master in order for your art to have functionality (as in make sense and look like you know what you’re doing). There’s a reason why a lot of artists stress on learning the basics before jumping to the good stuff, as in drawing from imagination and such. Because you need to learn it someday anyway so you might as well do it from the beginning.
“i cant even draw straight lines!!!” - ME TOO THE FUCCCK. Honestly though, very few master the art of straight, non-wobbly line work. I physically cant draw straight lines because my hands shake too much, and I’m sure I’m not the only one. You don’t need to be able to draw completely straight lines at one try! You can train yourself to do it, if you want to of course, but no one NEEDS to!! The thing with art is that it’s all about getting an idea across. Did you do it? Good! No need for completely straight lines, move on to the next thing! Being a perfectionist is probably an artists worst trait, because you get stuck on the little things that don’t really matter, and then you either give up because it’s too much work, or you miss other important steps that make a drawing good, because you put all your time and effort into making stupid straight lines!!!!! I hate straight lines….!!!!
Anyways, that’s what i could come up with right now. I hope some found it helpful even thought you didn’t ask for it 😂! 💙 if anyone have more advice they find helpful they can fill me in on this! ✨
