Why am I JUST NOW learning these things exist??!! And why am I also finding out they WILL NOT SHIP TO THE UK ATM BECAUSE OF THE VIRUS. I cannot tell y’all how much I want these.
Eric: I’ll get over it, I just need to be dramatic first.
Gonna tell my kids this was Captain America: Civil War
At long last I finished my working Shield (Yes, it does play that stupid annoying sound). I took this bad boy out for a spin a couple days ago and you know what, a child saw me, pointed, and exclaimed extremely loudly ‘oh look its A CLOWN’. I contemplated my entire life after that but glad that child recognised Eric is in fact, a clown. I’m not even gonna mention the fact someone called me the TIN MAN FROM THE WIZARD OF OZ I JUST
Btw my IG is @cavaliercosplay if anyone is interested - I’m posting full Eric pics there.
Okay so I’ve come to realise not everyone has insta so I thought I’d give you guys a little look at my Eric cosplay (Also I hit 10 followers and that’s literally the most exciting thing that’s happened to me in a long time so THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH)
I have upgraded this outfit so much since I first decided to do Eric as his cosplay is now low-key my fave (it’s proably something to do with acting in character as him because its so much fun)
I also do a casual Eric but am yet to get to that goddamn theme park to take some nice shots.
So these are my 3 (out of over 250 SO FAR) favourite pictures edited by me of my upgraded Eric cosplay.
Me searching for a will to live other hardcore fans of this show who have a respect for its true beauty.
Presto: Wanna kiss?
Eric: fuck yes I do *Presses his lips to Presto’s*
Presto:
Presto, summoning a bag of Hershey’s Kisses from his hat: I meant- I mean the chocolate b-
And now may I present to you my latest project:
I’ve seen loads of Brooklyn 99 Intro edits for different fandoms so I thought I’d give Dungeons and Dragons a shot. In my opinion, the title credits to the show are completely shit compared to some of the other cartoons of the same decade so I think this is how every episode should start from now on.
(Please don’t ask how long this took me cause I’d rather not say)
Here we are! It’s ya boi Eric Yūsha from my rebooted version of the 1985 Dungeons & Dragons cartoon, Heroes of The Realm. In my adaptation he’s going to work like a D&D5e Oath of Devotion (sometimes Oath of Conquest) Paladin In my interpretation, Eric is going to have a enemies to friends to student and mentor relationship with Hank, and a romantic arc with Presto, and of course unique friendships with the other characters. The local rich kid who must choose between following his heart, sticking to his friends and going to the school he wants to go to (represented by The Celestial Knights from the episode Quest of the Skeleton Warrior) or giving in to the pressures of his overbearing family, preying on his ambition and desire for their approval to get him to go to boarding school and join their software firm (as represented by Tiamat and her many heads) as his main arc.
Eric/ Diana whenever Hank decides to be sensible about everything
Presto x Eric
So... an imaginary episode of the 1983 D&D cartoon...
It’s a Meta episode.
The kids wake up to their average normal everyday lives. Nothing weird or anything. Have breakfast, do a few chores, say good morning to their parents, head out to school, etc. Normal shit.
While at school they kinda bump into each other a lot though and they get a weird vibe off of the others. But… why? I mean, they know of these other kids, some are friends-ish with others but they’re not particularly close? Bobby is Sheila’s kid brother, Diana is that girl who does gymnastics after school, Presto’s that dork who gets picked on for his crappy card tricks, Hank does sports or something, Eric is the haughty son of that CEO they keep seeing on magazines at the grocery store. They’re not really super close friends, they have nothing in common really but… they get a feeling from each other?
On top of that they occasionally get a strange flash memory in their heads.

More D&D Cartoon rambling.
The Traitor is such a *terrible* episode but it reveals so, so much about the group dynamic, I *can’t*
Hank’s convinced he has to betray his deepest self, and I can’t help but think that this contributes to his second breakdown in Requiem. Because if you take the premise of the episode seriously, he’s still acting for the greater good in his own mind. A good he *has* to believe in for the world to make sense.
And how the others react to his “betrayal” says so much about each one of them: Presto talks about how Hank was the one who believed in them, implicitly: in him, in his magic, even when he knew as well as anyone that the hat could be as dangerous to them as anything else in the Realm. And I like to think that started before they even got to the Realm. Hank was Presto’s rock when he couldn’t believe in himself, and he says, and I quote, “I’ll never trust anyone again.”
And there’s Diana, pleading with Hank to say something, anything–not even to defend his actions but just, talk, trust them to understand. They’ve been through so much, what can be so terrible that he doesn’t think they’ll understand? The look on her face says she knows exactly what it would take, and she doesn’t want to even imagine it. But without Hank defending himself what is she supposed think? Especially with Sheila damn near *convinced* Hank MURDERED HER BROTHER. Like, I’m still not over that. I never will be. Sheila jumps so fast to that specific conclusion it’s frightening. Does she honestly think that on some level, one of them is capable of doing serious harm to one of the others?
(I mean, to be fair to her, Hank does go into a literal homicidal rage several episodes later, and again in Requiem, but is she really that concerned that Hank would turn on Bobby specifically? The literal nine year old?)
And then Eric, who, while the others ply Hank to talk just leaves it at calling him a traitor and going off to sulk. It’s the second time the word traitor comes up with Eric, the first being Quest of the Skeleton Warrior, so we know the word carries a lot of weight for him. So much weight that once he says it, he can’t being himself to say *anything else.*
And yet, for all of that:
When Hank jumps in the hot air balloon to show them what’s going on, they still trust him more than they don’t, and once they have the full picture, all is forgiven. And when Eric apologizes…god. I really can’t with these kids.
Simblr Cartoon Challenge by @shellywellylove
So I’ve never done my own challenge before, but I thought it would be cool to see different people’s take on their favorite childhood cartoons. I chose to do the PowerPuff Girls, They were one of my favorites.
Here are the rules:
Choose a Cartoon Show or Movie that you love
Make and Edit
Have FUN
tag at least 5 people
A Special Shout out to @mystericsims Teen Titans post for inspiring me to make this challenge.
I was tagged by @cauulfield thank you so much for this, really.
So, I did the Dungeons and Dragons gang in moderny clothes (I almost added Uni as a dog, but honestly, it wouldn’t have look good ‘cause I’m a mess at pet making).
I’ll just end up tagging a bunch of people because this is an amazing challenge, so I’ll just leave it alone.
My brother and I watched the Dungeons and Dragons cartoon, and it was pretty decent actually. Far from perfect but it had some interesting potential that I could see fleshed out if given the chance. Drew up my favourite characters, AKA the ones with personalities.
Random thing I occasionally think about that still bugs me #7845783
You know what BAFFLES me? When someone who works on a show as like a writer or a storyboard artist or some shit has an ‘unpopular’ or ‘problematic’ ship of the characters and people freak out and harass them like they’re going to use their influence as an employee to make it canon. Like Y’all have problems. Not everything is about having your OTP canon.
Been talking about one of my fav topics: The 1980′s DND cartoon with someone here on tumblr so this comes to mind: I ship Eric and Presto, but if some DND GaryGygax copyright god handed me the car keys and said “Here you go! Reboot the cartoon in any way you see fit!” I’m not going to put my hand in my pants and wank off to making all my otps legit in official media or anything! It’s called creator integrity. I’d be too busy collecting both new and old fans to try and make an amazing story! If Pairings happen they happen but I ain’t gonna sit there going “Okay we rewrote that whole “Sky Bear” Episode into something less Ewok-y how can we shoe horn in the otp making out into this plot?”
