Stop underestimating the power of your Spirit. It's stronger than you think.
Myself (when I’m doubting everything)
You have got to live your life where everything is seen as a blessing from God.

Folks flying kites in Puerto Rico. I grew up with my dad always telling me how awesome kite flying is in Guyana (where he’s from) during Easter. I imagine it’s probably beautiful days like this.
Though I’m getting on bad on the Parkway this labor day, in my head, this is where I am lol.

Wish we didn’t live in a world where this business owner/activist would feel it necessary to put up signs like these so that the black people in his neighborhood would feel comfortable using his gym as a community center.

Here’s some of my NY Peeves (I just had to let it out...finally...somewhere...why not my blog lol)
1. Someone walking slow in front of me. (Lord why. I try not get frustrated but it hurts my soul)
2. Needing to go somewhere on the East side and the 4 train is packed between 3-4:30pm and it’s not even rush hour
3. The olympic athlete that cuts me off from getting a seat that I was 5 seconds away from sitting in
4. A subway cart with no AC
5. People on their phones not watching what their doing or where there walking.
6. Construction zones errywhere on Fulton street in financial district causing traffic issues, because developers too cheap to pay people to work overtime at night.
7. People who laugh at homeless mentally ill people when they’re having some kind of manic episode. Seriously...feel some shame.
What’s yours?
I think one of the most important things I learned over this summer was how important it is to travel and see how beautifully God has made this world and everything in it. If we would acknowledge that more, we would be more at peace with ourselves and each other.
Silence is often misinterpreted, but never misquoted.

Looking at this, I thought this has got to be what the tree of life looked like; in St. Maarten. Branches perfect for climbing...so beautiful
This was at Ozy Fest. Loved that every pack purchased helps someone in need. Check them out: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/solightdesign/twilight-a-littler-solarpuff-making-a-huge-impact

The biggest challenge was getting over my own limited perception of myself.

“The first thing one notices in the West Indies from England is the light and what it does to everything one sees.” One of my favorite lines. 75% through the book. A review coming soon.
Don't look back. The past has nothing to offer you. Keep moving forward .

I took this back in March...and am still waiting for the day.
