Allan looked at the house for a moment, one that he walked away from almost a year ago. It had been ten months since he last saw Erica, last even stepped foot in town. But of course he kept up with the town. He wasn’t the same man that left this place. Moving over to the door, he raised his hand and knocked on it. Waiting for her to answer, he was here to sign the papers now that everything was figured out with the lawyers. Honestly he didn’t ask for anything, Erica could have it all. Especially with all the pain that he had caused her. He took off his hat as he waited for her to answer. And when he did, he looked up at her. “Erica..”
Erica had been up early that morning and she was still a little tired. She felt a bit unsettled but she wasn’t sure why. She was making herself a cup of tea when the door went and she turned to go and walk through to answer it. Maybe it was Damien or Amelia. She hadn’t expected to see Allan standing there. It had been bad enough seeing that Pippa girl was back in the supermarket the other week. She stood there for a long moment, resting against the door. “Allan.”
