Some dude creates a back to the future parody where Doc/Marty gotta get nasty. This is Actually relatively normal all things considered, people just enjoyed making jokes about those two back in the day. If Roiland wasnt gonna make it, someone else was.
Inspired by this shitpost he made, he makes a cartoon where some dimension traveling genius grandpa and his grandson go on adventures. Cool, cool. Lets check out Rick and Morty, see what its like!
Episode 1 immediately has Rick figure out a way to make Morty participate in anal by smuggling a seed up his ass
Then it just gets progressively more psychologically fucked up with every episode and you are kinda scared of asking but you cant help it.

And so in the beginning yes people shipped it but it was a Tumblr Thing. theres only a tiny little fandom for rickorty in comparison to like millions of non-shippers so u get all these upset dudes on forums reemarking about how Rick would Never because its a Dudes Show, Rick is a straight guy.
Then it turns out hes pan and while that isnt really a point in favor of him going for his grandson....
They throw in the multiverse and this comment is made.
And afaik he was fucking with ppl because that episode still hasnt happened but like. No. You cannot rest yet, because its been 11 years and apparently one of the chief complaints about Rick and Morty is this:
