Conversations with interesting people who were on one career path . . . but ended up somewhere entirely different.
Friends, family, and enemies: after a lot of work and preparation, I'm excited to announce that I am launching a podcast called U-Turn. The idea is simple: it's an interview show on which I talk to people who have made big changes in their careers. I've posted three episodes to start, and I hope to release one or two a month.
Music fans might be especially interested in episodes one and two, which are a two part interview I did with Sam Means of The Format. He couldn't have been nicer or more gracious in taking the time to talk to me for three (!) hours about his time in The Format and what he's been doing since then.
I also had the opportunity to talk with Jill Shephard of Ruff House Art about her experience building a small Etsy shop into a successful retail and wholesale operation that specializes in letterpress greeting cards and other printed items.
Check it out here: U-Turn or find the show on iTunes

Jack Antonoff released the stems for "I Wanna Get Better" last year sometime; since I've been on a remix kick lately, I thought, "What the hell?" Here's my version.
Nate Ruess recently provided stems for the song "Great Big Storm" from his solo album Grand Romantic. Of course, I had to make a remix. I don't see this getting played at any clubs any time soon, but I had a good time putting it together.
Enjoy!
