I don't know what to do
Through thick & thin
Tumblr.....We meet again
I know this website is now used primarily for reposting abstract photos and sexual content attempting to be passed off as "art" but I think I might utilize it once for a generalized recap of my own life. I don't really know if I have any "followers" on this website and I really don't care, this post is more so for myself then anyone else. 2013 has brought so much change to my life that otherwise I normally wouldn't have expected. I've cut ties with the dead weight within my life, I've made improvements in my professional life, and I've found a diamond in the rough and have become part of a life changing relationship. Was that a run on sentence? What am I even doing here.
I guess the most important thing to really set off a chain of events has been my relationship with Christen. I'll admit for years and years it was hard for me to be believe there was a world outside of status climbing girls who lie and deceive to get what they want. Ā I really seem to have a dark outlook on people these days but it really is hard day after day to believe that people in general have good intentions. I truly believe there is more to life then focusing on the dramatics of other people's lives and I really have been working to phase myself out of that. My relationship with Christen has showed me that instead of trying to put in effort with people who are more focused on unneeded dramatics and hypocrisy it's better to focus on the positive things and things that drive you to push forward. In the last five months I've never found myself more motivated to work harder at everything I do within our relationship, with my job, and with working out or just being a better person.
I guess it's hard to utilize this blog entry to suggest that I am a "good" person. I am aĀ narcissisticĀ self involved ego driven human being but beyond that there are people that do know my true good intentions. I gain solace in knowing that I am an honest straight forward person even if that results in being the enemy in a situation. I've wondered for so long on what drives a person to be dishonest and so cold to the one's they love and I still don't the answers. I find the easiest path is to phase those type of people of my life to make room for the ones that will come through for you in the clutch. At this point this blog post has no organization and is nothing more then the rambling of a man who is up past his bed time.Ā
I work for the Pantheon Agency now..... It's hard to take in that at one point in my life I was a 11 year old kid who would spend his entire allowance every week on my favorite band's CDs only to be employed by those same bands 10 years later. I've never felt more at home within my company of people that truly care and have my back in an industry that shows no love to the weak. I am 100% a believer that my position at The Pantheon Agency will drive me to the top of my career path and be able to open doors for me for a very successful future. My co workers and I share similar visions on how to continue the growth and development of bands in our world and how to integrate them into larger scenarios. Ā With this shift comes the eventual decision to move to California. Since the conversations began about me having to California I've found myself excited for the opportunity to move to essentially paradise, but dreaded the idea of leaving a life I've built for 21 years here. With everything changing in my life I feel okay about the idea of moving to California as long as different pieces of the puzzle come together accordingly. I've spent a great 21 years here in New York and I wouldn't change it for the world, but I think my time is up here. I love my family and my best friends but I think I am best suited to move on to the next chapter of my life.
I don't know exactly how everything within the next 3 quarters of 2013 will go, but I have big ideas and high expectations on making 2013 the best year of my life yet. Now that I've turned my outdated tumblr into my own personal diary I think it's time to sign off. Until next time,
EP
I apologize for such graphic pictures, but Iām not sugarcoating this.
Today while I was working at the barn, I saw this dog on the way back from a ride. He stood up and walked very cautiously over to the horses, but he didnāt come very close. He didnāt bark or growl, he just stood there. I couldnāt leave him there, I had to go back and get him with my car.
I got out of my car and walked slowly up to him. He put his head down and came towards me without my calling or anything. He sat down next to me (I didnāt pet him because he clearly has bad mange) and wagged his tail. He looked at me with his pretty blue-green eyes full of hope and I think he knew he would be ok.
I called every nearby animal control number and the Houston Humane Society right down the road. I had to go through so many menu options before I finally left a message⦠None of them have called me back, about eight hours later.Ā
I took matters into my own hands. I didnāt want to put him in my car because I transport my own dog, but I couldnāt just leave him. I figured there would be some way to sanitize my car so I gave in and called someone at the barn to help me get him in my car. Heās a small dog, but he has scabs all over his body and I wanted someone with gloves.
Anyways, I drove about five minutes to Houston Humane and the first thing the admissions lady told me is that theyāll hold him for three days and if no one claims him, theyāll put him down. Nope, thatās not gonna happen. I asked her where else I could take him and she gave me the number and address of BARC. I thanked her and got some gloves from her and loaded him back up in my car for the 45-minute drive to BARC.
They shuffled me around everywhere at BARC. I went through the door that said, āEntranceā and the guy made me go back through the āExitā door. I know this doesnāt seem like much, but this puppy could hardly walk. He stumbled as if he were drunk and would occasionally just plop down. They determined he was too sick for him to be in the main building with all the other dogs, so I had to load him back up in my car and drive him to the rear entrance.
Some kind volunteers directed me to the vet building, and I waited in there for a vet tech for about 15 minutes. I sat next to him and talked to him. I told him over and over that he would be ok and I wouldnāt let anything happen to him. I told him heās going to make an amazing pet someday and heās in a safe place. I promised him.
The exhausted-looking vet tech came out, took my driverās license (which they had already done at the front..) and entered me into āthe system.ā Then she came back over to me and the dog, whom I had named JoJo, and informed me of his fate. She said two very conflicting things and Iām still confused. First, she said that theyāll wait three days for someone to claim him, then have him evaluated by a vet and put him up for adoption if heās not aggressive (which he clearly wasnāt). Good news, right? Then she said theyāll wait three days for someone to claim him and then euthanize him. I kept trying to clear this up with her and determine which one she meant because she wasnāt making sense, but I never got a clear answer. Iām pretty sure the answer is more towards the second option than the first.
Then I got mad. I asked her why the hell I took him there if theyāre just going to kill him, just like they wouldāve at Houston Humane. She shrugged and I said, āOk well thanks,ā and left with tears welling up.
I pretended to text on the way back to my car so the volunteers wouldnāt ask what was wrong. I got to my car and broke down crying for poor little JoJo. All I could think about was how amazing heād be as someoneās dog and how I had promised him over and over that heād be ok. I called Christy (the barn manager, we kept in contact the whole time so she knew what was going on) and told her the news and she got mad, too. She kept saying, āWhy the hell do they call themselves a no-kill when they clearly do if the dog is the slightest bit sick? Theyāre not going to do ANYTHING for him?ā My thoughts exactly.
I drove home crying and took a nice, hot shower. Christy had called me again while I was in the shower so I called her back and she had some good news for me. She knows a woman who brought a stray like JoJo into BARC, donated some money for his initial treatments, and then fostered him (and later ended up adopting him). Christy is actually offering to donate $250 to help him and she knows another woman who loves pitbulls and is already offering to foster him.
Iām not begging everyone to reblog this, though that would be appreciated. Iām not gonna hate you if you donāt. I wonāt be mad if no one offers a little cash for his initial treatment. But it would make me and JoJo feel a lot better if you did.
We have until Thursday to figure all of this out. This dog needs a miracle, but Christy and I wonāt stop until he gets his miracle.
P.S. To whoever did this to this dog - I sincerely hope you suffer equally as much as he did/does/will. I hope you find out how it feels to have someone give up on you, and that no one gives you a second chance. I know youāre out there because he has a collar and heās neutered. It makes me sick to know that you exist.
Thank you for all youāre doing for JoJo. I truly hope there is a happy ending for this poor guy.

Fully just cried. Fuck.
This is the record that got me into heavy music in 2002. I remember being in 6th grade burning copies on blank CDs for all my friends after spending my allowance on this record.
Cheers to you, my potential future. The next chapter of my life. While I fear you, I embrace you as one eagerly awaits the changing of seasons. The idea of leaving behind twenty years of memories (good and bad), new and old friendships, and a life I have become entirely to comfortable with is a concept that isn't an easy one to grasp. I hope I know what I am doing here.
My life day by day is a work in progress. I am constantly working to improve myself in several different aspects. The whole "you are perfect the way you are" mentality is absolute bullshit to me. It's nothing more then an excuse to slack off and avoid setting new goals and accomplishing them. I am still terrible at Tumblr.
I hate you (I wish)

This is a great torso shot.
Kills me every time.
Why are you on my mind?
PS: This is the best attempt at recapping my life on Tumblr. I'm a terrible blogger.
75 degree weather suits me better.
Can't really find the right caption to perfectly describe this moment.
