Aang a2 b3💔💔💔
They are communicating :)
[id: a digital and coloured drawing of Aang. He is sitting on a brown box, one arm resting on his legs, the other by his face, Momo sitting on his hand. Aang is wearing a yellow beanie, a brown vest, dark pants, and light brown boots with a white trim, alone with a dark yellow scarf. His expression is quizzical, as he stares at Momo. A light yellow square is behind him, on the predominantly white background.]
Haha one of the Totally Real Amazon Employee twitters fucked up by saying they couldn’t afford union dues
season 2 + “you made it”
bonus:
today’s funky frog of the day is: hylarana chalconota! these indonesian true frogs are commonly called schlegel's frogs, brown stream frogs, or copper-cheeked frogs. (x)
Y’all are overdue for some Entrapta and Hordak. Nothing shmultzy, I just started drawing without any specific idea and it sort of morphed into them cleaning up on Beast Island? Sketch came out pretty well for me just winging it, I think!
C’mon, someone had to do it
x
YES. THIS WAS PERFECT.
since link doesnt work, heres the original:
Baddieeeeeeeee
how can terfs recognize that selective abortion of female fetuses is rooted in misogyny, and that acknowledging that isn’t the same as being anti-choice, while simultaneously telling me “nooo selective abortion of potentially disabled fetuses isn’t eugenics” and that it’s anti-choice to criticize it at all.
like shut the fuck up you are all so dense. no i don’t think anyone should be forced to give birth or shamed for getting an abortion just because the fetus would be disabled, fucking obviously. but recognizing how the larger pattern of wanting to “eradicate” certain differences is rooted in societal ableism isn’t the same as being anti-choice, jfc.
(also this is because I specifically called a radfem post going “men are just jealous women have the power to wipe out down syndrome” or whatever eugenicist, lmao. like, interesting choice of words there!! that’s all I'm saying!!!)
Well here’s my contribution
Now that Inktober is over I can finally bring back some color 🤙 Starting off with the first of my avatar: the last airbender fanart series: my beautiful bby girl Katara.
it really bothers me that so many people on this site treat ableism like it’s black and white.
just now i saw a post where op was like “i’m glad that spinners are popular because it normalizes fidgets and decreases stigma” and someone replied like “no!! it’s absolutely TERRIBLE that neurotypicals are using these fidgets because when they get in trouble they make things harder for mentally ill kids!!” and like you guys do realize that? you’re both right? it isn’t a decisive fact that neurotypicals using fidgets is either good or bad, there are both benefits and consequences that need to be taken into consideration.
a few months ago there was a post going around that was like, *neurotypical voice* why are you bouncing your leg, and somebody reblogged it saying that the post was ableist because autistic kids can get overstimulated by leg bouncing. i go to a school for the mentally disabled, and i’ve been in this exact scenario, my classmate wasn’t able to focus because i was bouncing my leg and although i felt bad i told him that i wouldn’t be able to stop for long because i do it subconsciously due to my adhd. he wasn’t being ableist for asking me to stop, and i wasn’t being ableist for saying i couldn’t, we just both had different needs. in the end, our compromise was that i went to work in the computer lab.
you have to understand that there is always more than one side to issues like these, and that we should be striving for understanding and balance over demonization of one side and blind support of the other. this is especially relevant when people on both sides are mentally ill or disabled, because sometimes symptoms will clash and you just need to deal with it.
This is about Sci-Hub. yeah we get it.. gatekeep knowledge and protect the interests of capital…
Listen, this is serious.
Do not use the website called Sci-Hub!
It lets people access scientific articles for free. This is dangerous. It helps the free flow of knowledge and reduces the competitive edge of all the people who worked really hard to have been born into a wealth.
Like, it’s literally a website where you can type in the DOI of an article and read it, without ever having to pay the publisher who exploited the author.
So, again, do not, under any circumstance, use Sci-Hub. I mean, can you imagine a world where knowledge is free and easily accessible to everyone? Even, y'know, poor people?
Libgen also has many books online, including textbooks, searchable by name, author, and ISBN. Can you imagine textbook companies not getting their hard-earned income from poor college students? Here is the link just so you make sure that you never accidentally stumble across this horrible, unethical website.
Oh, and while we’re talking about books, if you’ve managed to stay clear from Libgen, definitely don’t go to zlibrary, where you can also find a lot of textbooks, but unfortunately they’re completely free.
nooo don’t use sites that make academic papers accessible to everyone, why would you do such a terrible thing
people on here may find me annoying but none of you will ever hate me as much as I hate myself
the sentiments "completely sterilized fiction absent of any of the bad or evil things that happen in real life is neither inherently good storytelling nor morally superior" and "holy fuck you shouldn't be producing child porn" are not mutually exclusive and there is, in fact, nuance in the world
Collab done immediately post-marathoning season 3 with my friend @solosii / @sol0sii on twitter, fueled by lack of sleep and our devotion to Lotor’s squad. They sketched, I painted.
