Upon close examination of security footage, this sneaky fellow was discovered lurking outside the library. I kinda want to let him in so he can borrow a book.
Relaxing under my office chair while I write blogs. That little tail floof.
"Pull bags out of BMO's butt." The people handling merchandising for Adventure Time... you so get me.
Day 26 of #AuthorLifeMonth: Favorite book outside your genre. "What made something precious? Losing it and finding it." I adore Celeste Ng's Everything I Never Told You. I give it to friends often. It's a beautiful, beautiful book. Pick it up, and join me in anxiously waiting for her next one.
Day 25 of #AuthorLifeMonth: Pimp a Pub Sib, aka talk about someone you share a publisher with. @_ashposton is one hell of a cheerleader. We talk pretty constantly, and I'm lucky to have her around. Her debut, The Sound of Us, is a favorite YA novel of mine. Keep an eye on her, she's up to big things.
"Your typewriter is in the fireplace because-" "My writing is fire?" "No. No, see this is why I tried to burn it."
So an early copy of The Inside of Out by @jennmariethorne arrived today and I am obsessed with the premise. Teen girl's best friend comes out, and she rushes to be an ally, leading the charge to support her, organizing rallies, protests, etc... but it really isn't her place. "Every story needs a hero- sometimes it's just not you." My goodness, I feel like I'm going to be talking about this book forever. Look for it in May.
A strangely appropriate setting to finish this delight of a novel. Look at that moon! Watch for @woodswrites' debut, SUMMER OF SUPERNOVAS, this May.
Day 22 of #AuthorLifeMonth: I don't think I'll ever love a dedication page more than the Geek's Guide to Dating page. Not every author gets a dedication page with this kind of design work. I'm lucky. A shout out to my best guy friends, most of whom aren't on social media, but some who are... hi @timquirino and @mikeyil. <3 Fun Fact: In the ARC, Mikey's last name was spelled wrong. And it still is, in the Portuguese edition of the book. Ah, friendship.

There's a good chance you heard me raving about Morte by Robert Repino last year. It's an astonishingly unique novel, and I just adore it. What a lovely surprise to find my BookRiot blurb on the back of the recently released paperback! If you haven't picked this one up yet, do it!
"Sir? Sir! Could you please stop crying in front of the sign?"

A snowy Monday in, reading manuscripts on the couch with the fam.
