“Yes, it is truly my name. I am, unfortunately, not familiar with Phantom of the Opera. I’m admittedly a bit uncultured, see. If someone were willing to impart their knowledge to me sometime, though, I’d certainly be willing to learn.” He grinned. “I won’t tell a soul, although, honestly — Prince Eric’s really quite a bore, isn’t he? I’m glad about Moana too; it’s by a great deal the more compelling Disney story that involves water. “For some reason, I forgot that there’s going to be a live-action Mulan. Work has just been so hectic for me.” Eric heaved a convincing sigh. “But if it’s a sign my business is flourishing, I can’t complain, can I? If you don’t mind, however, I’d appreciate updates. You are clearly well-informed. Oh, don’t worry; I felt the same when I visited Disney World — somehow managed to stop myself from tearing up, but nevertheless…!”
“Oh, I simply must show it to you. It’s a musical, if you’re into that sort of thing, but the story itself dates back hundreds of years. It’s rather fascinating, really.” Katya gushed, the other male’s words boosting her confidence even further. “Oh don’t worry, it’s my actual job to stay up to date on all of this stuff, so you aren’t alone. What is your job, if you don’t mind my asking?” The blonde tucked a single strand behind her ear, white teeth capturing her lower rosy lip in excitement.
In response to her sounding uncertain if he liked musicals, he joked, "I love Disney; it's a given that I like musicals. I used to always sing 'A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes' from Cinderella at work, but I had to stop after receiving numerous complaints from my crew and patrons: 'There are so many damn birds in here!' "Oh, that does sound real interesting! You'll really need to show me, then. Plenty of Disney films are based on old stories as well, if I'm not mistaken...? I run a wine shop. The former owner named it The Sparkling Vine." He shook his head disapprovingly. "In spite of the name, our wine is first-class. There's a wonderful little bar in the back of it — the music is often jazzy; it's kind of a 'throwback' place with old-school fashion, occasionally themed. Yes," he shared with a glint in his eye, "in seriousness, I have set Disney themes in the past. Is it your job, now? That's really fascinating! What's your job?"

Eric sighed, responded that he was on his way, and drove to the police station. Before approaching her, he asked some officers for their recollection of the incident. He nodded, then picked her up. “Really, Caroline?” he asked her in a voice loud enough for only her and her friends to hear. He wore a smile, but it was clear that his patience for each of them was dwindling rapidly. “You know that if you need venues for your get-togethers, I can always provide you with them. Don’t ever do anything like this again; understood? Call me first. Let’s go.” He began walking towards his vehicle and outside the station. In his pockets was some food that Caroline liked; he was planning to give it to her, but decided to hold it off. He didn’t want her believing her grave missteps would be rewarded. Eric cared for her as though she was family; she had to know that, but her rashness was a source of vexation and concern.
Caroline rolled her eyes a bit knowing that she was getting a full blown lecture after this. “We were just having a little fun? Come on now, it’s all good they let me go with a warning, right? No big deal.” She shrugged walking behind him towards his vehicle. Caroline may have played it off as if she wasn’t phased by these things that she kept doing to herself, but what she was doing, it affected Caroline the most. She sat up in the passenger seat as she looked at Eric, she did felt bad for always making him be the one to get her out of whatever situation. She cared for him as much as he cared for her but she just wouldn’t ever show it.
“I’m just telling you to be smart about it. We both know you have a brain. Use it. You’re going to stop getting ‘just warnings’ if you break the law enough times.“ Unless, of course, she was a ruthless lawbreaker like him, he thought as he drove his car. She had issues, but he strongly felt she wasn’t that unethical and risk-taking. No, she couldn’t handle it — Eric didn’t want her to be required to handle such heavy things; she was barely out of her teens, with a heart-wrenching past. He wanted to see her living secure, comfortable, and happy. “It’s not as though I didn’t trust you. I gave you trust and you repaid me with tons of trouble to get you out of. I’m just worried there might be a situation I can’t get you out of. You know you’re the one affected the most by this, don’t you? Jail isn’t a joke.” This was his way of expressing to her that he cared, not more direct announcements of fondness. “Although, of course, I have to say you aren’t the only person I look after as well. We have to be careful. There are other people in need of aid, Caroline. I have to help them too.”
eric&adam//all dressed up in bad news
Honestly, he had ways to get wine that didn’t require his direct involvement, this was just for fun. He put on one of his stupidly tight pairs of jeans and clingy t-shirts and marched his merry ass to the local winery, humming the whole way. Adam had walked past this winery dozens of times and had seen the same really cute guy in there almost every time, and as luck would have it, he was behind the counter when Adam walked in. His nerves starting to fire up, but he shoved them down and plastered a smirk on his face. “Hey there. I’m looking for a nice wine.” He leaned against the counter and tilted his head to the side. “Pick out whatever you think would be the best one to share with the sexy counter boy at the local winery.”
@ericsrcign
Eric paused for a moment to pass judgments on the flirting eighteen-year-old. Cute, but definitely too young for him. He was positive Adam was in his teens. Eric humored him with a teasing (amused) smirk of his own, pretending to go along with it. “Wait there,” he said, entering the supply room. He returned to Adam, a pitcher of ice-cold water in hand. “This sparkling drink is what we call ‘You’re not allowed by state law to drink liquor until you’re 21 years old, and I know you haven’t turned 21 yet’.” (There was no real malice from his end towards the audacious younger boy. He was interested in making a friend.)
“please don’t yell at me.” lex muttered under her breath, anger took a lot out of her. when people got angry she always ran in the opposite direction, it was an emotion she couldn’t handle, she returned the emotion usually with a horrified look on her face and sometimes a few tears. “i’m sorry, please just - please don’t yell at me.” lex kept talking even though she was sure they were ignoring her.
Eric was going to step in regardless; but knowing the pair of lawbreakers yelling at Lex were prone to adding literal injury to insult markedly sent him moving faster. “Romano! Bush!“ he greeted them brightly. “Didn’t expect to catch you in these areas. You’re here to talk about the business deal, I presume?” He brought them away from Lex, partaking in a few moments’ worth of conversation, before he said, “The deal is the same as it ever was, my friends.” His voice was not loud, but it cut through the air; and despite his (sarcastic) use of the phrase “my friends”, he was apparently preparing to drop the politeness with which he’d been treating them all this time. Casually, gracefully, he laid a hand on one of them: Romano, who squirmed and was unable to free himself from his grip. “I hope you see how firm I am in this conviction,” he declared with a cheerful smile and tone. It went on for several moments, the two criminals shrinking. Then, he released the arm and gave them a chuckle and friendly pats on the back. “Go away now. Don’t ever go near her or anyone else I care for, alright? You only go to me. “Lex, are you okay?” he almost immediately asked her after the criminals left. He was distressed: angry at himself for letting this happen to her, angry at his “friends”, concerned about her wellbeing. He endeavored to suppress his anger, hoping she would relax. She needed solicitude most. “I’m so sorry. That won’t happen again, I promise.” Was he making a promise to himself or Lex? He was just so guilty. This danger wouldn’t have befallen Lex if it weren’t for his own illegal activities.

❛ i wouldn’t mind, ❜ replied erik, smiling composedly, after pausing for the briefest of moments to determine what kind of person the other likely was. ❛ there are so many superb disney films, aren’t there? a lot of people expect me to answer “the little mermaid”, given that my name’s “erik”; but, as wonderful as that movie was, i personally enjoyed moana and mulan more. mulan is an amazing underappreciated badass and moana’s a completely magical piece of cinema. of course, disney music is just always b r i l l i a n t. ❜
“Get out, is your name really Erik? I mean, I’d be more inclined to make a Phantom of the Opera joke, surprisingly enough, but I could see that. To be fair, you’re already vastly more interesting than Prince Eric…Just don’t tell anyone I said that, else I’ll be hanged.” she teased, though she was well aware her distaste of Ariel and Eric had not gone unnoticed by her fanbase. “I am so happy to see that so many people have gravitated to Moana and connect to her as much as they do. Mulan is also delightful in its own right, and I’ll be interested to see how the new remake will turn out.” His comment about the music caused Katya’s entire being to light up, as she found herself becoming more excited, “Isn’t it though? It’s just so iconic and moving that even the background music at Disney World can bring a tear to the eye. At least, it does to me.”
“Yes, it is truly my name. I am, unfortunately, not familiar with Phantom of the Opera. I’m admittedly a bit uncultured, see. "I have empirical evidence to the contrary," Eric responded, smiling still. "What would you have done? Just let him continue going about terrorising innocent people?" He was feeling defensive, if he was being honest.
Scold him a little? “Don’t patronise grown adults you only just met, and you’re quite free to make whatever your business.” A good-natured smile veiled his annoyance. “I’m guessing you’re an educator, or you took Humanities in university…?” he inquired, tone dulcet and breezy.

ah, shit. it was the death anniversary of a friend — - not a friend he particularly liked, but a friend nevertheless whose passing he regarded as quite untimely. he’d been too preoccupied at work, unfortunately, to visit the graveyard earlier. striving to retain equanimity, he gave the person a sly, cordial smile. ❛ me, a murderer? never in life! ❜ he opened part of his suit to reveal a fleeting peek of a few weapons, letting her know for certain that the young male angel was indeed some sort of criminal, if not truly an outright murderer; but what he took out from his hidden compartments was a bouquet of flowers he’d bought for his fallen friend. he was not here to instigate crimes. ❛ i would love to hang out with you, but there’s something i need to do real quickly first. are you sure you can’t let me in the graveyard for a moment? ❜ he expressed the request with the same blithe smile and even voice. despite his staying calm, however, it was pretty evident that he was feeling genuinely sorrowful.
Zola breathed in sharply at the sight of the weapons. She shook her head and sighed. She certainly wasn’t expecting to run into so many criminals during her stay at Lunar Grove, but it seemed like she met a new one every week. Still, she was an empath, and there was no way she was going to stop someone from mourning. She hoisted herself out of the grave and tried to brush some of the dirt off of her clothes.
“Well, go on then. I’ll have to accompany you if that’s alright, to make sure you don’t vandalize or steal a headstone or something.” She wasn’t really asking permission, so she walked over to the man and stuck out her calloused hand. “I’m Zola. I’m sure you guessed it, but I’m the town’s gravedigger. You’ll have to excuse the dirt.”
“All my vandalism and headstone theft tools are at home,” quipped Eric, a tad acrimoniously due to the fact he really would’ve preferred to mourn alone. His gloved fingers accepted her proffered hand, shaking it. “My name’s Eric. I run a winery. Dirt is fine; I’m wearing gloves, to point out the obvious. Shall we go in now?”
it was tempting to roll his eyes, but eric refrained from doing so. “i know.” he indulged in a little scoffing — “good news is i didn’t do it for you” — but he wasn’t in the mood for their usual enmity and spoke to her with something like friendly playfulness. he jokingly explained his “actual” motivation for tripping the old man: “his jacket is made out of real fur, which is animal cruelty, and it clashes with the rest of his outfit, which is just atrocious. he had that coming, and worse.” eric was tired and needed time for relaxation. “what are the drinks on your day menu?”
Caroline had gotten her self in a tough situation, again. She and some other friends decided to go out and have a late night swim at the pool. The only thing was that the pool was closed so they had to climb the fence. Once they were inside some alarms went off and the police came. Caroline had to ride in the back of the cop car to the station but since this was her first offense she got off with a warning. Not wanting to call either of her siblings she decided to call Erik he’d probably be annoyed but she can handle that. “Yo’ Can you come get me?” She said casually as if this happened all the time, which it almost did.
