imagine how horrifying the angels must’ve been for eridan

by now we all know that they look like harry potter’s dementors

dementors are “among the foulest creature that walk this earth. they infest the darkest, filthiest places; they glory in decay and despair, they drain peace, hope, and happiness out of the air around them…”

they’re “…glistening, greyish, slimy-looking, and scabbed, like something dead that had decayed in water…”

did you know that part of the reason that they are so unnerving in the harry potter films is that they are modeled after cloth moving underwater? the filmmakers studied the movements of seaweed and underwater puppets to get their motion down.

imagine how many waterlogged, floating bodies eridan has seen in the past. i mean, he regularly killed the lusii of trolls that vriska defeated. 

and angels just look like rotting, watery corpses flying after him
