I took part in the Perfect Strangers project in June and I enjoyed it so much that I jumped at the opportunity to do it again. I have so much fun buying cute little gifts for someone and packaging them all up nicely - I hope they love dogs dressed like Elvis as much as I do!
I’m pretty happy with my life at the moment - my family has it’s ups and downs but I’m absolutely loving my job, I feel a million times more confident in myself, and I’m surrounded by beautiful souls!
I have a lot more to do at the moment - particularly with my etsy shop which is trundling along nicely - but a day off feels so much more rewarding when you’ve earned it and you can soak your tired body in an amazing bath!
I haven’t posted in a while because I’m an actual, real life, busy grown-up!
A couple of weekends ago I went down to London for a friend’s baptism and it was such a nice weekend. I always cry at baptisms because I think they are lovely, and I am so happy for my friend!
I did also sneak into Lush Oxford Street while we were there and buy some exclusive goodies! couldn’t resist.
I recently found some lino prints that I did a few years ago and so I’ve listed the remaining few on etsy for you lovely lot. They are all slightly worn looking to give then an old bluesy vibe - please do check them out, there’s only 6 left and they make perfect presents for music fans!

Mad couple of weeks so I haven’t really been posting.
Last week we went to Whitby for a couple of nights and it was so lovely! I really do love being at the seaside and spent hours finding fossils and bits of clay pipe and things. It was just really good quality family time! I already miss it!
Had a sunny trip to Harewood house yesterday. We spent most of our time crossing back and forth over the stepping stones and spotting fish in the lake.
Today I’ve just worked on bag orders and ate biscuits!
A few more Norfolk photos. Jake looking extremely proud after completing a 2.6 mile fun run and getting a medal, me and izzy freezing to death in the sea, and my glorious full english breakfast that I sat outside a cafe to eat one morning - family holidays are exhausting but worth it!
On the Wednesday night we had a campfire at Holme next the sea and it was absolutely beautiful! My phone couldn’t pick up the pinky sunset properly but it was stunning. It felt so remote and quiet.
By the time we left it was pitch black and the sea breeze was cool and refreshing - I think this was my favourite thing we did all week!
Last week I went to Norfolk with most of my family (and my Uncle, his girlfriend and my cousins)
The weather was glorious - which is so rare on our Norfolk ho wore shorts almost every day and I even braved a swim in the north sea :’) I love Norfolk, it’s got some of the best wildlife in Britain and plenty of places to spot it. It’s only downfall is the fact that I hadno service all week! I had to go to the pub every time I wanted to use wifi - How tragic!

I’ve been actually focusing on getting a job now that I do nothing... and this week I’ve been working on making a cv. I applied for a job in Lush (which I can’t imagine I’ll get - although I’ll be over the moon if I do!) so today I handed that in with a lovely cover letter that I hope might sway them a little :’)
I also gave blood for the first time. I’ve been meaning to do so for ages but never got round to it. I find things like that kind of fascinating so for me it was quite good fun! haha! and they had mint clubs at the end and they are my favourite biscuits.
less interesting than recent weeks, and a lot rainier.

I know I’ve posted too much this evening but this last little post should bring everything up to date. I’ve been really inspired to make my own instruments recently and I have a couple of projects underway. The easier one being my cigar box ukulele which is just awaiting a couple more parts.
The one that makes me want to cry is my biscuit tin banjolele! I did not think this through before I started - but if I ever do finish it it’ll look awesome!
This is just a little photo from Tony’s bar on my last night.... and yes, it was pretty much me and a bunch of old people :’) The loveliest old people ever, I feel so at home with everyone and they support me and encourage me like family would. These people have helped me a lot more than they’ll ever know - when I met them last year I was really struggling with depression and realising I could get away from it, make friends, and remember what I am actually like was such an incredible experience. I’ll treasure all my time spent in Gozo - it’s a special little island.
I seemed to spent most of my last day asleep on various bits of furniture - we definitely chilled, and it was perfect!
In the evening Joe (again, what a champ!) took us over to Ramla bay for a dip which was glorious. I really, really do love Gozo. It’s such a beautiful little island and every single person I’ve met has a heart of gold. I’ve got more friends over there than I do at home! haha
I really do hope I keep in touch with everyone and sneak back for a catch-up some time next year!
The next day, Joe (bless him) took us over to Malta to see some sights. St.Paul’s catacombs were my favourite bit because it was cool down there and I spent most of the day sweating like a mad thing.
Fortunately, Joe studied archeology and was able to give us background information on almost anything we pointed out to him! I did think I was going to pass out because of the heat so we finished the trip early. I felt bad - but I’d have felt a hell of a lot worse if I’d tried to carry on. Heatwaves are not fun for walking through cities in!
In the evening I decided not to join everyone for the meal out, and I bobbed around on the pool for a bit. I agreed that I would walk through and meet them at the bar when they texted me but I got bored of waiting and set off by myself. It was beatiful walking the coast road at night - and I felt like a proper local.
I got to Tony’s bar before everyone else and I had a really good chat with some of the locals that I’d not had a chance to catch up with yet. Sometimes the quietest people have the best stories!
We’re really lucky to have made quite close friends with a guy over there called Joe. On Thursday he took us to bits of Gozo that the tourists never get to see, which included re-visiting the cave we went to last year. It has the most incredible views over Ramla bay.
We also visited Hondoq bay where I swam in the sea until I looked like a raisin. The sand is white at Hondoq, which is different from the almost red sand of the other beaches I’d visited there - absolutely stunning.
I imagine we spent thursday night drinking at Tony’s - where else would we be!
