[Cassandra lands in an alley after a successful thieving mission. she was making a name for herself in the company, having had experience with this line of work. he leaned against the wall, sighing with satisfaction. she was right, it was fulfilling to do this again. it felt right.

she put away her throwing knives into her holsters, moving into the darker part of the alley, looking up at the sky]

[Leo was running across the rooftops, making his way to the EPF base when he caught a glimpse of something- someone. He realises it's Cassandra and asks himself what she might be doing. He slides down a pole and lands a few feet behind her. He raises an eyebrow and smirks playfully.]

Hey, Cass! Whatcha up to?

[she jumps back, making a noise]

jesus!! oh- hi Leo

[she sighs once he realizes hes not a threat. she begins to answer his question but remembers what she just finished doing]

im just uh....goin on a walk..yeah uh what about you?

[Erin has been running for awhile now, numbing the pain with a potion every now and then, she hasn’t seen any EPF workers yet so that was a good sign but she can’t be too sure. All she could hear was the sound of her own heavy breaths with everything else muffled. Suddenly when she turns a corner, Erin runs into 2 people with horror spreading across her face. Her vision was blurred so she couldn’t tell who they were. Were they workers? Were they friends? She didn’t want to take the chance. She backs up and runs in a different direction, everything was hurting.. she didn’t know where she was. But she needed to get away.]

[He cuts himself off in the middle of his reply to Cass when he spots Erin.]

Erin! Erin, wait!-

[He nudges Cass before sprinting off to find her.]

[Cassandra barely even had time to process that was Erin before hes being nudged and sees Leo running after her. she quickly follows close behind, feeling in her pocket for any kind of rope, eventually finding one and throwing it around Erin to tie her up. he slowly catches up to Erin, slowing down]

Erin!! oh my god are you ok??

[Erin yelps when she’s pulled back by the rope, making her drop her battle axe. Her ragged breaths start to quicken and she tries to break free despite the pain of her dislocated shoulder.]

PLEASE!! LET ME GO!!! I WANT TO GO HOME!!!

[Her frantic pleas turn into sobs, blood from her nose dripping to the floor with her tears. She drops to the floor to at least touch her axe, when her finger is placed on the axe her eyes start to flicker yellow. She tried and tried again to activate her electricity, or at least a electric force field but it would only flicker on and off.]

[Erin opens her eyes to the spinning night sky before slowly rolling out of the bush she landed in with a grunt. She touches her nose and winces, pulling back to see blood on her fingers. She stands up staggering with the world still spinning and grabs out a potion from her bag. The potion however was one of the old ones that did have unfortunate side effects. The old potion only made her condition worse, her vision becoming blurry and swirled.]

[She suddenly hears workers coming out of the building so she grabs her axe and limps away into the alleyways, her breathing becoming heavy and her body aching in pain. Her right arm laid limp at her side and her other arm dragged her axe along the floor, trying to make her quick get away and hoping to find her way home.]

[After a few minutes of lying down, Erin notices a beeping noise that was sounding under one of the desks. She looks over to see a button that was flashing red. That. is not a good sign. She pushes herself up and walks over to one of the desks that had her potions and axe. Erin then chugs one of them, numbing herself until she at least gets out of here. She next opens a nearby closet to find her bag and clothes before she got kidnapped so she puts her potions, clothes, the keycard, and the button in it and puts on the bag.]

[Erin runs out of the testing room and into the hall with her axe in hand, using it to give her little spurts of speed every now and then. She opens a door leading to stairs only to find workers pointing tranquilizer guns at her. Erin quickly closes the door with a squeak before they could start shooting at her. She runs down the hallway with a crowd of workers on her tail until she’s grabbed by the back of her shirt and roughly pulled back before getting punched in the face with the end of a tranquilizer gun, giving her a bloody nose. She gets dropped to the floor and some other workers start to kick her everywhere, trying to avoid her axe. Then, Erin swings her axe around her making the workers back away as electricity surround her. She bolts down the hall with people who get close getting electrocuted. Erin sees a window up ahead as the electricity dies down, running towards it.]

[Right before another worker can grab her, she jumps and throws herself through the window, glass shards impaling her arms and legs as they cover most of her face and torso. The building was tall and big given the company so if she didn’t land somewhere else other than the ground she will most likely die. But for a moment she lets herself just fall. No thoughts, no movement, only falling with the air violently hitting her face and ears. It was a peaceful fall.]

[Erin snaps out of it and holds her axe out as she falls toward a neighboring building. Once the axe hits the wall, her body slams against it and her shoulder dislocates making her scream and let go of her axe. She then falls into a bush on the ground with her axe falling and on the floor after her.]

[One of the scientists put Erin’s hands in electric cuffs behind her back and leads her to the testing room while the other stays in front with the button, a clipboard and a keycard to the cuffs; normal protocol.]

[Then, with all the force she can muster, she moves to the side slams the scientist behind her against the wall and kicks them on the stomach. The scientist in front quickly turns around to see Erin running towards them and right as they press the button, she launches herself at them and uppercuts them with the top of her head. Erin falls to the floor with the other scientist and after a minute of regaining proper consciousness she grabs the button and keycard to her cuffs. She unlocks her cuffs after fumbling a lot, making her way to the testing room where her axe and potions were. Erin was still weak, but if she can get her hands on those potions, she could last.]

[She quietly opens the door, four scientists were in the observation room. She sneaks over to the door leading to the observation room as she keeps close to the blind spots of the room. Erin unlocks the door with the same keycard and kicks it open, hitting a scientist that was close by the door. The three other scientists grab out tranquilizer guns, pointing them at Erin but she grabs the scientist she hit with the door and uses him as a shield as they shot at her. Once she was close enough, she pushes the unconscious scientist that she held captive at the three others as a distraction after grabbing the captive’s tranquilizer gun. She fumbles around with the gun due to her shaking hands, giving one of the scientists the chance to kick her leg making her fall forward and accidentally shooting at the wall. Erin quick points the tranquilizer gun at the three scientists and shoots at them.]

[They were finally knocked out. She lets herself fall back, breathing heavily and coughing a few times. She was not in any condition to fight like this, that’s what the potions are for.]

[Alright.]

[It’s been about… a couple days(?) since that phone call with Leo. Would they even come? Who knows at this point, what matters is that neither of her friends come after her. She knew most of the layout from her previous break in’s, she knew the exits, she knew where her stuff likely was, she just needed to figure out how the hell she was going to get this god forsaken chip in her neck.]

[Erin has been pacing her room, trying to feel around her neck for the chip. At the side of her neck, she then feels a small lump; there it is. It was deep in her skin, either way she wouldn’t be able to cut it out if she wanted to (she was planning on it). But she has a back up plan.]

[She stands in front of the door as the scientists start to unlock the door. Once the door was open..]

[Her plan began.]

[Erin was in the white, empty room with her axe as scientists stood in the other room, watching from a window. She had little suction devices attached to her arms and forehead. Erin’s expression was dull and defeated, her skin was pale and dry, and her body slightly skinner but yet strong from using her axe so much lately. She doesn’t know how long she’s been here, she lost track of time. How long has it been since the phone call? Did her friends give up on her? Maybe this was better for her, she’s learning more about her abilities. She’s stronger now, right?]

[The scientists signal for Erin to start the experiment. She only slightly nods and holds the axe in front of her. Electricity starts to form around her skin and axe as her eyes glow yellow. The suction devices indicate the level of electricity Erin produces. The scientists look disappointedly as they watch the low voltage Erin gives them.]

[After a few minutes, she collapses to the floor, growing exhausted too quickly. She tries to get up and try again. The scientists told her about “bio electricity manipulation”, how she’s able to do that. She wants to learn. She wants to be strong. Sweat drips down from her forehead as she breaths heavily from the exhaustion.]

[Erin gets back up and tries to produce more electricity again for a longer period of time, determined to get this right. No matter how many times the chip in her neck activates.]

[Erin was sitting on her bed, her body aching, hoping the experiments will cease. Until then, Bishop slams the door open with a scientist trailing behind, making Erin jump and push herself against the wall to get away from him but her eyes land on his hand.

[Her phone was clutched in his hand.]

[Her eyes widen at the horrific sight.]

Why do you have my phone.

[Bishop marches over and holds the phone out to Erin, waiting for her to take it.]

Unlock it.

Why-??

[His eyes narrow.] This is not a request. Unlock it.

[Erin’s jaw tightens with the look of fear in her eyes. Who knows what he’ll do if she doesn’t. She then, reluctantly, types in the passcode. Once the phone was unlocked, Bishop immediately snatches the phone out of her hand and looks through her contacts list.]

HEY STOP-!! [When she was about to grab it back but is stopped by the other scientist.]

[As Bishop looked at the contacts, he spots a familiar face amongst them all. A wicked smirk crosses his face at the sight of the turtle monster as he dials it and puts the phone on speaker. He waits for the creature to pick up the phone for a split second until suddenly…]

[Someone picks up.]

[Leo was outside Erin's apartment, investigating around (the outside of) her room when he feels his phone buzz. He almost doesn't pick up, but decides to, just incase someone needs him. E, r-

ERIN!

[Leo frantically picks up the phone, jumping into the alleyway.]

ERIN WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN AR-

[Leo stops in the middle of his sentence, his heart skipping a beat when he hears a voice that isn't Erin. His eyes narrow and he stops breathing, speaking through gritted teeth.]

Bishop. WHAT have you done with Erin?!

Ah I knew you would answer. I will skip formalities and get straight to it: Ms. Vidal is in my custody. Here she is right now.

[Leo can hear her thrashing around trying to escape from the scientist. She refused to answer, she couldn’t let her friends to come no matter how much she wanted them to.]

[After a moment of waiting for Erin to say something, he sighs and presses a button as the scientist drops her to the floor. With the click of a button, she starts to writhe on the floor and screams in pain. When Bishop lets go of the button, Erin lies on the floor, curled in on herself.]

See? She is here. Now I have a proposal for you.

ERIN, NO!-

[Leo exhales shakily, huffing. After a second, he sighs with a low growl.]

What do you want you sick- [Insults won't get him anywhere right now.]

... What is it. What's your "proposal?"

[Bishops cracks a smile of content before responding.]

Well it seems one of our subjects has escaped and is running ramped as we speak. I believe you and other of your kind have fought this creature before. Does “Kraang” ring a bell? If you bring it to me, I will give you your friend back.

[Erin tries to get up and speak but her voice was wobbly and quiet.]

Leo.. don’t..

[Leo's eyes widen slightly at the word "Kraang" and they have to force themself to breathe. He swallows and responds a few seconds later. Knowing Bishop, he wouldn't just hand Erin over. They have to think of something.]

.. Yeah, I can do that.

[The call ends before Erin can get another word out. How long will she have to be there? What did she get her friends into? What has she done? Bishop and the scientist walk out of her cell with her phone, leaving her on the floor before saying something just as the cell door closed.]

Get the next experiment ready for her.

[She felt like crying but nothing came out. She was exhausted. But she didn’t want Leo and the others to hold up their end of the bargain. Erin didn’t want them to get caught again.]
