So I casually mentioned to Bestie that Abs is home writing her notes for SYTYCD tomorrow.  She was wondering why she wasn’t in school.  She’s apparently never heard of schools being out for Veteran’s Day.  Do y’alls school systems observe this or is the Greater Jax area weird because we have approx 47 military bases?

I vaguely remember having it off when I was in school up in Buffalo, but that was a LONG time ago. The issue down here is that Fairfax County schools were closed 2 days last week for students (teacher work days because of the end of the quarter) and they are closed Wednesday through Friday next week for Thanksgiving, so they didn’t want another day off this week.

So, I left my warmest jacket at work on Friday. I wore my second warmest to work this am. I may or may not have worn both home from work today. And by May or may not, I mean I drove home looking like Randy.

I can bitch all I want but if it was 27 and I was in Florida, I’d be PISSED.   It’s one thing to be cold in PA (which I am), but to be cold in Florida?  NOPE.

I just got a winter weather “we might have an effin snow damn day” alert from the school system. In FLORIDA!!!!!! I don’t own clothing for this foolishness!!!!! Add to that, Abs is at my parents house through this weekend (because there’s some party she “can’t miss” tomorrow night even though school goes back Thurs). Because it was 80 the week before Christmas and she was “too hot” in the clothes I packed…..my mom brought back most of the winter and swapped it for short sleeves. Luckily I have the only 13 yr old in the history of teenagers who thinks it’s cool to wear her Meemaw’s clothes 😂

Okay loves so the last two weeks of October are going to be hectic at best in my life. My best friends are moving cross country and I’m helping. Writing is my release so while I won’t have a lot of writing time available, I’ll still squeeze some in each day. That being said my updates may be sparse. And they just extended my work trip another 6 days. 🤦🏽‍♀️ However I did wanna give you guys a few options as to where you’d prefer updates. (Ultimately if I can stack up updates I will). So I’m going to list options below, choose the one you prefer. Make sure you’re only commenting in one area tho lol. I’m gonna post this on here and Wattpad. Disclaimer: These are all worst case scenario. I just want to know where you guys would prefer my time. Option 1: Two updates of Fix a Heart & Begin Again each over the next 14 days. And limited/sporadic quotes updates while I’m on the trip. Option 2: One updates of Fix a Heart & Begin Again each over the next 14 days. And probably 6 -7 quotes updates while I’m on the trip. Option 3: No updates of Fix a Heart & Begin Again over the next 14 days. But limited/sporadic quotes updates. During the trip, I will update Fix a Heart & Begin Again at least once each. Ok……these are MY OPINIONS which might not be popular, but they’re mine and I get to have them.  I’m listing them in my own first to last order, which has absolutely nothing to do with how well they did, just the way my brain has them.  Remember, you asked.

Sharna and Derek (duh)

Alan and Debbie (he truly is the most precious thing ever)

Keo and Barbara (Barb the Cougar might be one of my favorite things)

Witney and Frankie (super surprised by him but don’t really care if he stays or goes)

Maks and Vanessa (hated the dance loved how well she did)

Val and Victoria (a bit weaker than I expected but she apparently can’t actually feel her legs…..what the actual hell)

Artem and Nikki (I don’t care either way for either of them but they did well and she body slammed Artem on the dance floor and I about died)

Emma and Drew (I had high hopes and he did not deliver.  There is no amount of Canadian voting that can over come that mess)

Peta and Nick (that was horrible)

Lindsay and Jordan (he did really well but he doesn’t do it for me so I wasn’t super excited)

Gleb and Sasha (it was just kind of there for me)

Mark and Lindsey (something about her rubs me the wrong way.  it was a great dance but I don’t like her so whatever)

The way I feel about them, is the complete opposite way I feel with Emma & Drew their both so likable and I love the partnership the dancing on the other hand ...

After the show ended, James accompanied Peta and Maks backstage to congratulate everyone on an amazing show. Several of them, including Sharna, Lindsay, Sasha, Emma, Artem, and Gleb were all squished in an elevator discussing what their guests thought. “So what’d you think James?” Sasha asked from the other side of the elevator. “Oh, are you kidding me? I loved it! Especially that routine you did with Lindsay, and that one number reminded me of the jitterbug we did! Although I must say, it looked a lot better when the pros do it.” “Lies!” Sharna said next to him, “you would have done just fine.”

“I think he really liked the Earned It number, he was sitting at the edge of his seat the most for that one, right James?” Maks teased him.

Chapter 15. 

A knock on the door jolted her awake; she could tell that she’d been dreaming. Her heart raced, and she struggled to catch her breath. Not to mention, there was some sort of lingering warmth in the pit of her stomach. The room had just started to fill with light through the window, and there was a moment of shock when she realized that she wasn’t in a hotel. God, these sheets smell so much like him. She rubbed her eyes and yawned. “Room Service!” She heard James call from the other side and quickly sat up. Okay, maybe I’m actually still dreaming. She haphazardly fixed her hair, “Uh, come in!"
