You know, I feel like if Bungie wanted to continue the Destiny IP, novels would be a great way to do it. Lore buffs are a huge part of the community, and theres still countless stories to be told...

The fact that they never made any Destiny novels continues to be one of the weirdest things in the world to me. So many games and movies and whatever have novels, and yet Destiny, arguably the most novellable property in the world, never got any. Insane.

Needless to say, I am hopelessly dependent on the idea of Destiny novels.

I dont yap about all my art but for this one i will.

The working title for this was "a quiet goodbye". Sometimes you dont get the fanfare. The mission is last minute and the vanguards send you off alone. Thats what i wanted to capture because thats what it felt like.

Ikora is the professional one independently in frame. Crow is casual and leaning on something. Zavala is half turned showing a bit of reluctancy. Guardian was walking ahead and takes a look back. I dont think i need to spell out what they each represent.

I'm away at a con doing Destiny cosplay and Destiny meet and they release these news now, great timing. Yes, I've seen it, I'm just at a shitty hotel wifi so if I have any asks I can't see them right now and I'd like to join Destiny reblogging but it's really difficult currently with my internet, but I do want to say that yeah obviously this is devastating and sad, mostly for me because we won't get a resolution to the story they started.

I was very invested in it and I know a lot of people stopped caring and kneejerked about Renegades, but the whole thing with the Nine they started was incredibly cool and I wish we could see it through the end. But it is what it is, game was going to end one day and I said that multiple times. Would've been nice to have more time to wrap it up properly, but capitalism comes for us all. My heart is mostly with the devs. Y'all did a great job, despite whatever people were saying, and thanks for all the hard work. I know shit will happen because gaming industry, and if it does, I hope y'all find new jobs quickly.

Other than that, I'm not planning on leaving or stopping to enjoy the setting and the game, there's still much to play and much to enjoy and I'll be around still helping people with content and with lore. Fandoms don't die when the media stops airing, and we've kept Destiny 1 alive since 2017 despite it not having any updates so I don't see anything changing on that front.

I'm planning on making a lot more content lore-wise and also for OCs and doing art. I might even start posting more about OC stuff and encouraging others to keep playing in the sandbox. If anything, the sandbox is now ours. I'm very excited to explore the setting beyond what it can give us officially, while still doing my best to use existing canon and lore to make it feel like Destiny feels. And I'll be around to continue answering questions and helping others.
