Welcome to Dizzy Isy

I started this project in March 2020 so it has been quite the task for a simmer with very little time even during lockdown. As we count down the days left of this annus horribilis, I thought this would be a nice little holiday gift to those that enjoyed my last save file.

I have completely renovated and built up an entire “Dizzy Isy” universe. Many Maxis lots were used as shells as I am not a natural builder but after a while I got the hang of it. There are very few Maxis sims (but I kept a few) as I wanted to create new sims, storylines and intrigue.

Make a backup of your Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Saves folder

Download the file, unzip, and place files in Electronic Arts/The Sims4/Saves.

Open your game, enter the save. It is named “Dizzy Isy Save File”.

The last played household is Millie Mellowmallow the first sim to ever be placed in Dizzy Isy.

As most that follow me probably knows already, I am no longer making any CC for The Sims. I don’t know if I will again at some point. Maybe when/if there will be a new Sims game.

But everything that I have posted on here should still remain available for download. But today I logged in again after a very long time, and I noticed that some of my posts had been flagged, and therefore made invisible to everyone but myself. So I had to go through all of them, and appeal the flagging. Some of them has been approved, and I expect the rest to be soon as well.

Just wanted to clear this, in case anyone was wondering why some posts were gone.

Body hair for Wicked Whims?

I know I haven’t posted here in a very very long time, but that’s mostly because I haven’t really made any CC in a very long time. That, and the fact that I play The Sims very little at the moment.

Anyway, I was wondering if there would be enough interest in a version of my body hair that had compatibility with the Wicked Whims mod?

If I am to do this it will require some work as I would probably have to make all the body hairs from scratch. But I’m considering releasing a new set anyway so maybe it should just feature the option to fit the WW mod.

Inactivity

If you haven’t noticed, I’m pretty inactive at the moment. And I don’t think that will change in the near future. I’ve had a few people message me here, but I didn’t read the messages until like a month later. So if you want to contact me you can do so at Gmail. (erling.l.1974 at gmail.com)

As for my inactivity it’s mostly because I don’t really play The Sims that much anymore. I do play it from time to time, but I haven’t made any CC in months, and I don’t know if I will anytime soon.

Need help testing Vampire Invasion!

Hey guys,

I’ve been in discussions with Deaderpool and some others about this vampire issue.   I REALLY want this GP but I do not want a vampire invasion.  I’m a troubleshooter by nature, I prefer to figure out a problem and solve it myself instead of just complain about it.

So……if any of you have the vampire GP?

Can you please do some testing (ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE MC CONTROL CENTER)?

Test Parameters

Test One

New save - enable logging on MCCC via your sims computer

Delete all the premade vampires.

Have your human sim research vampires on the computer ONE TIME.

Have your human sims meet a vampire.

Play the game for a few sim days but don’t do anything more vampire related.

See if any vampires enter your sims home uninvited.

Look at the mc_cmd_center text file in your mods folder and see how many vampires the game generates.

Test Two

New save - enable logging on MCCC via your sims computer

DO NOT DELETE all the premade vampires.

DO NOT have your sim do anything vampire related

Play the game for a few sim days but don’t do anything vampire related.

See if any vampires enter your sims home uninvited.

Look at the mc_cmd_center text file in your mods folder and see how many vampires the game generates.

Once you are done with this, either send me an ask with your findings or respond to this post.  I will need your MCCC settings file so we can compare it to DP’s and see what the difference is.  He was unable to replicate any of the issues being reported on the official forum.

PLEASE REBLOG and HELP OUT so we can ALL enjoy this GP!! 

Keep in mind that it IS a GP about VAMPIRES.  So you WILL have vampires in your saves.  We just want to make sure that they don’t invade and take over so that those who want them to fade into the background like aliens and ghosts do can also enjoy the GP.

Body hair 9

Yep, they are done now. :D As usual these can be found under the face details in CAS. As the other ones I have made, these also fits the detailed bottom by @untraditionalnerd. As something new, these textures has had their resolution increased to 2048 x 4096 px, whereas my older textures are 1024 x 2048 px. I don’t know if I will ever update the old ones, cause it would require for them to be remade from scratch again. Anyway, these can be downloaded here. (Sims File Share)

Hey again

So, again I have been very silent here. I don’t know what happned, but some months ago I completely lost interest in Sims, and didn’t play for months. But recently I seem to be enjoying the game again, and I do plan on buying the expansion when it comes out. So there is hope. :p As for the latest body hair I was working on, it is more or less done. I just need to add the swatches, which doesn’t take that long. So if I haven’t forgotten how to use Sims4Studio, I’ll get to it today. :) Anyway, just wanted to say hi again. I probably won’t be super active here again, as I don’t really know what I want to do, be it play the game, or actually make more custom content. We will see. :)

Well, hello there!

Yeah, I have been very inactive lately, but as I said in my last post, I have not really been that much into Sims at lately. It seems to be getting better with that now, and I have continued working on my previous project, the next body hair version. This time I have actually redone the whole texture for this version, since it’s a little more curly than the other ones. I have also doubled the resolution of the texture, so it should look better. The texture is finished, and is matching the detailed bottom by @untraditionalnerd. Now to the task of adding the rest of the swatch colours, and so. Yay.

Hair Suits for the Hirsute

adjective: hirsute meaning: hairy. “their hirsute chests” synonyms: hairy, shaggy, bushy, hair-covered; woolly, furry, fleecy, fuzzy; bearded, unshaven, bristly “they described him as unusually large and hirsute”

I have sat on these for long enough (figuratively). All credit belongs to both @lumialoversims & @erling1974 for their having taken the time to create the original amazing body hairs. Used with permission. You are now able to choose between somewhat lightly haired all the way to “My God, is that Alec Baldwin?” hair. For now, only in black. Depending on the reception of this, I plan on doing both dark blonde and an auburn as well. (Black to me is the go-to choice with ‘berry-colored’ hairs…)

This all came about because first I found myself taking way too long with combining various versions of both lumia’s & erling’s various hairs in many different combinations, but what really made me want to do it is because erling released a wonderful set of back hair that conflicted with my very favorite skin overlay, forcing me to make a tough choice between the two.

I broke my own rule of no more than 25 swatches, as there are 35 variations available to choose from. What I did was to take 4 of lumia’s old releases and 7 of erling’s body hairs, 3 of erling’s back hairs and then I also added a choice from 15 of my 'base chest hairs’  - none of mine included any hair other than on the chest (but I did make the contribution of the 'short & curlies’ type of hair). I also used lumia’s original butt crack overlay (which I didn’t discuss with him, I sincerely hope that he doesn’t mind…) for added depth in the said area.

If you really want, since these are found under the 'Eyeliner’ category, you can go wild and add additional hair over/under these! Custom thumbnail, and the best part is that they are, thanks to erling, compatible with @untraditionalnerd’s male member add-on (Thanks to him for the excellent undergear!). Note: these are not Hi-Def, as the source textures weren’t, and I saw no point in artificially blowing them up to be so.

Again, Much Gratitude to both @lumialoversims & @erling1974 for all of their hard work, and for making my (our) Sims beautiful!

Just a little update

I’m still around, but for now I think we can say that I’m on hiatus - at least when it comes to releasing things. I still have some things that I am not done with, and future projects, but right now my interst in Sims is not as it used to be. I don’t know if it’s because the summer is coming or that I have so much other stuff that I want to do. But for now I’m not going to release anything. I think. :p But as I said, I’m still around. I do check my Tumblr from time to time. :)

Been silent again. But this time the reasons has been different. This is my Siamese, Dione. She has only been with me for some months, but I adore her. I mean who can resist those blue eyes? :) But this month has been pretty bad with her. I almost lost her. Actually I had already prepared myself for it. One day when I woke up, she refused to eat or drink, and the only thing she wanted to do was sleep. I took her to the vet three times in a row, and they couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her. And on day 5 I started forcing her to eat something, as I couldn’t see any other way. And I don’t know if it was that, or the trips to the vet that did it, but all of a sudden she started eating and drinking again. And now she’s back to her own self again, only a little lighter, as she lost some weight during those days. And my wallet has also lost a lot of weight - but that comes with the responsibilities of having pets. I’m just happy that she survived. So maybe now I’ll be able to concentrate on Sims again. :)

(I apologise for the language in the screenshot, but my game is in Danish, so that’s why.) :P I often do some games where I use fast speed and leave my game alone for a while. And before the latest expansion, that wasn’t that big a problem. It still stopped from time to time, but now there’s less than a minute between these popups from texts or calls. And they make the game run at normal speed. It’s really annoying, when you’re playing like this. So, is there a way you can either disable or bypass them?

Hi Everybody! This is yet again one of those things that I am really proud of having accomplished. For a PROPER video of them in action see my post HERE .

What you are seeing above (front off|front on|back on|back off):

Two different body suits using the tattoos from GTW and cloned from the GTW alien outfit. They are found under ‘Full Body’ clothing, as that is what they are. Each has 4 color variations, and are enabled for T-E Human/Alien all situations.

Five accessory ‘bottoms’ that are found under Accessories|Socks, and all have been recolored to coordinate with the body suits. (1) Short Shorts - 5 colors (2) Boxers - 8 colors (3) Swim Brief - 20 colors (4) 'Sexy’ Underwear - 4 colors (5) Speedos - 8 colors

What’s the Deal with All of This? This is the result of MUCH trial & tribulation of what method to use to accomplish what I wanted. In the end, I cloned the GTW Alien Suit for the color cycling, and made a full-body mesh (I didn’t use the head) from BG scratch to replace it. In its natural state, the alien suit does not allow for ANY accessories, which was a great concern for me, and has now been corrected as is shown above to allow for any accessories & shoes. That said, being what is is made from, any body mesh replacers will be overridden while wearing this suit. As shown above, the body suit morphs correctly with the body type. The colors of the two suits have a slightly different speed each, so that two sims wearing one of each will not ‘pulse’ at the same rate.

Why the sock-bottoms? Seeing as the suit is a 'Full Body’ item of clothing, trying to use any other item of clothing will switch it our for what was selected. As-is, the body mesh without any accompanying bottom 'sock’ will give your Sim a 'Barbie-doll crotch’, ergo the 'socks’…

As you can see above, the suit does not interfere with any skin tones, makeup, body hair or tattoos. I also made a 'sock’ out of the BG Satin Pajamas, but because of the way that I had to order the layering of the mesh so that the texture would display correctly, wearing anything that covers the tattoo will display the tattoo’s texture on top of it, however the texture overlay will not glow there. I might release them at a later time, as well as releasing any of the additional CC of mine from the posts…

I have MANY more ideas planned for utilizing this!
