Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, does it? Perhaps we are out of practice. Or perhaps we are so focussed on men and their perceived problems. It’s almost laughable to speak this phrase out loud and yet its equivalent - “toxic masculinity” has been given so much significance as to be a legitimate talking point. It seems absurd to be able to counter such a toxic VIEWPOINT of masculinity with a simple reframe such as this. Usually this is possible when shame and guilt are the key weapons in use. How about we return some sense to the debate?
