This Super M group thing is giving me mad anxiety.
I can see where people's concerns are coming from, I've been a Shawol literally since SHINee debuted & I know they're not as successful as other SM groups so I've always worried for their future. But this isn't what K-Pop is supposed to be like.
I know a lot of K-Pop fans are new and they never experienced how the fandom used to be, but this all just feels wrong. Boycotting a group before they've even debuted, fandoms making deals to bring the group down and using MV streams as a form of currency to seal the deal? What is actually going on?
I know people are worried, and I get that it's frustrating having senior groups mixed in with the newbies, but the group literally hasn't even debuted yet. I think people really need to just calm down and give them a chance. Every member of Super M worked so hard for this, and imagine how they feel seeing the backlash against them, when they've done literally nothing wrong.
There are other ways to voice your concern, without directly hurting the people you're supposedly concerned about. Do I think this 'Avengers of K-Pop' US debut is the best idea in the world? No. Honestly, I don't like it that much either. The name sounds dodgy, the slogan is basically the same as EXO's and I feel they should be focusing on Korea. But you know what I'm not going to do? Act like a whiny little child and spread nasty hashtags to try and bring down a group that has people I love in it.
Taemin is a member of Super M. Hasn't he been through enough? Do y'all really want to keep hurting him even more?
Honestly, what I'm seeing right now is embarassing.
