Someone please tell me that I'm not the only one who, over the last few years, feels like I've suddenly lost the ability to hold a pencil.

I'm trying to get back to regular exercise again, but whatever I'm trying to do just won't work. Comparing it to my old drawings, I feel like I'm regressing lol.

My bestie nelsonaoboe has a stand (I can't remember the name of the stand) that I've been wanting to redraw for a while because I had some ideas for it. Sooooooo....

Description (not the best but hey! Anything or nothing):

It is a shapeless mass similar to paint that can take on a humanoid appearance.

It moves mainly around paintings where it also waits for its victims.

It can camouflage itself by changing colors, patterns, etc., or it takes the form of one of the people depicted in the painting.

When it comes to victims it most simply "draws" them into the painting and this is where the human life almost always ends.

So how did I draw it?

I chose one of the forms she used to present to me with minor changes.

Hello everyone

I was inspired by other artists who are reworking somewhat orignal paste stories and decided that I would try it too. So here's Eyeless Jack (I decided that if you dislike it in this form, it would become my OC).

I want to point out that his story is still not worked out by me and there are plot gaps, etc. Also, the drawings are only serve to better visualize the character however, they do not have to be factually correct and may differ from each other (that uniform didn't work out for me but I was already losing my nerve over it lol). I tried to model on actual history but I'm not an expert on British army.

In my version, he is a soldier of English descent who ends up on the Old Continent to help soldiers fight the enemy as a field medic. In 1915, the Germans introduce phosgene and diphosgene as a battle gas (characterized by the smell of fresh-cut grass, it accounted for 85% of soldier deaths btw). During one of the battles in which Jack participated, it was used to fight an ententa, but gas masks were used as a way to deal with the poisonous fumes. While fighting an enemy entrant in the trenches, a soldier managed to rip off his mask which immediately resulted in gas poisoning and chemical burns to organs (trachea, eyes and lungs). Despite the help of comrades and medical attention, he could not make it due to his injuries being too extensive.

I haven't quite worked out the part with what he does as a posthumous wanderer. But I was thinking of something along those lines:

As a phantom of a soldier who died too young (did I say he was of college age? No? Now you know) under tragic circumstances, he appears in places like battlefields/fields/open spaces in misty, cloudy, rainy or snowy weather and sows terror among the already terrified soldiers at the prospect of sudden death. It reveals itself mainly to the stranded and near-death without letting them forget what awaits them in the near future.
