Reblog this post to be added to the masterlist.
Please tag with the following format to make it easier for me to add you: Musename/OC or CANON/Single muse or multimuse
Eg. Legolas/Canon/Multimuse
If you wish for me to add multiple of your muses, just add one tag per muse.
Other than Éadig, all of my muses can now be found [here].
My elven twins Anorrîn & Dúathrîn are now back active on @storiesofthenight with new faceclaims.

Seeing as this blog is currently still receiving some attention from time to time, I figured I'd put this up quickly.
Currently Legolas can be found on my main blog @storiesofthenight My other muses of this blog are currently not active.
Seeing as I have been struggling to keep this blog active, I am perhaps considering to instead move my lotr muses to my main blog. I wonder however if it would do my muses any good or not.
I miss writing them though ... Especially Legolas. Or perhaps I should just revive my Erynlasgalenedhel blog ... which was my Legolas solo blog ... *thinking*
❄(I found it!)
The day was dark, cold wind blew bits of snow around the park, new flakes still slowly falling from the sky. They stuck to the long blond hair of the seemingly young man that sat upon one of the benches. No other soul seemed to be at the park at the moment. Legolas took a deep breath, a soft puff of air visible before his lips as he did though he himself barely felt the cold. His tunic however was slightly soaked from the snow and clung to his skin, and yet, he felt at peace where he sat. As far away as possible from the noise and stench of the city.
lordofthegoldenflower:
Once Legolas was inside, he closed the door to keep the chill from the hallway out of his space. Only then did he start peeling off his layers of cold weather gear, to leave himself in just a pair of jeans and a long sleeved shirt. “I tend to keep my heat turned up a bit higher than some prefer. It helps keep my joints from aching so much in the cold,” he explained simply. Now they were out of the wind and cold, he was really feeling the weather down to his bones. “It’s normal for people to keep their homes the temperature they want, I guess. The heater is for winter and then we have airconditioning for the summer months when it gets hot.”
He took a few steps away from where he was standing at the door into the middle of the room and gestured at the open space. “This is my main living area, I have a bathroom, my room, and a guest bedroom that doubles as studio space as well. You’re welcome to stay here with me as long as you need to, or until we figure this whole thing out for you.”
When Finn explained how people kept their homes at their own preferred temperature, Legolas couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at it. “I see ...” It felt a little like magic, being able to regulate the temperature of your home. In a sense they could too back at home, but that was due to fires and windows mainly. There had once been a terribly hot year and nothing Legolas had been able to do had managed to cool his chambers down.
“You have a rather nice home, even if it is nothing like the houses and rooms I am used to.” With a small smile, he turned to Finn. “And I am grateful for your hospitality, it is truly kind of you to let me stay and that you would figure things out with me.”
lordofthegoldenflower:
As soon as he had been given his plate of breakfast, Finn started to dig in, even making a hpapy noise at the delicious taste. “It tastes as good as it smells! Thank you,” he praised, mouth full as he ate enthusiastically. He carefully chewed and swallowed his mouthful when he nearly choked from eating too fast. “I’m sure by the time we get there, you’ll have wished for a shorter drive, but I’ll make it as painless as possible for you. Though, you’re going to have to put up with my music taste.”
He offered Legolas a bright smile. “Having you stay with me, getting to be your friend, that’s been a real blessing for me too. Sometimes it feels like we weren’t meant to find each other like this.”
Legolas couldn’t help the slight shyness that washed over him at the compliments. He knew how to heat food in this world, after all he’d been told how to do so a billion times, he was smart and he got a hang of things quickly, but he didn’t trust it. So he kept to the things he knew and he was glad to see that despite him not using the technologies that this world had, his effort was still appreciated.
“I do not mind what music you might like, I am looking forward to being around nature again. This world, from what I learned so far, is it one of contrasts, much like my own but I long for something familiar now.” He admitted as he ate slowly.
“I ... I am not certain what you mean with that? I mean, I do not know why I am here, I do not know what I can bring to this world. But is there a point in trying to find a meaning for everything? Perhaps it was not meant to happen, but it did. And I am pleased, for if any other person had crossed my path, who knows what predicament I have found myself in?”
There was no reason for Legolas to lie to himself, had someone else found him, he doubted he would be free right now. People in this world did not seem to look kindly upon people who were different. And yes, there were parts at home where it was similar, but nonetheless Elves were generally ... in most places that he knew at least, given respect and kindness. Here, he was not so certain.
lordofthegoldenflower:
“Oh good, that means it will be harder for me to kill it on accident,” Finn said with a smile. He was already trying to decide where to put it where it would stay out of harms way but still be noticeable. “I really love this, thank you. What sort of presents do you give back home?”
Legolas smiled at those words and nodded. “Yes, yes indeed. It is why I chose this. Because greenery in your house really does help it feel better. You have too little plants in here.” The air felt different in a place that had plants in it, Legolas was certain that this would be true even in a city like this. Didn’t greenery always help brighten moods? It did for him at least, glancing at Finn, he tilted his head in thought. “Hmm, ... I usually received weapons, or ... feasts. We did have feasts. Music, dancing, wonderful food. That were my birthdays at least, father he would get wine and fine clothes and things like that. But I was never so focused on those elaborate fabrics.”
lordofthegoldenflower:
“I like it very much, thank you,” Finn assured Legolas, setting aside the card to take a closer look at the gift. He had never been able to keep a plant alive in his life, so hopefully this one would be as easy as the elf said. “How often do I need to water it?”
“The plants do not need much water, I have asked around to make certain you would not need to worry for them. And, I am still here too so ...” He smiled softly and bit his lip. “I was not so certain what to get you, presents here are very different from home.”

“I hope you like it. They should be easy to keep alive, I have done my research for it.” Legolas smiled, feeling proud about how he had braved the city more than once to gather information on plants in this world.
“So many people wanted to live in one place, they started to build up like this. There are many places that have much taller buildings than this, but also plenty of places where there is more room for people to spread out. I can show you some pictures when we have climbed up to my place,” Finn explained easily as he climbed. He rubbed a bit at his hip where it was sore from the weather, but couldn’t regret the decision he had made to go out into the cold rather than stay inside.
He looked over to offer his new friend a smile at that statement. “I’ll be around until we either find a way to get you home or you decide you want to move on,” he promised easily. He kept climbing the last handful of flights of stairs, where he led the way to the door on the left and opened it with his key to welcome Legolas inside his apartment. It was tastefully decorated with an open entry into the living room as well as the kitchen and dining area. “Welcome to my home.”
Well, Legolas decided there and then that he would like those open spaces more than this part of the world he was currently in. Nature would always be his preference, even back at home, he had liked the Shire more than the walled up city of Minas Tirith, and that despite his best friend being King there. Nonetheless, he was grateful for the shelter of the harsh weather and even more, of the unknown world he’d landed in.
Stepping into the other’s home however, he was pleasantly surprised by how big the space actually looked. “Thank you for having me. It looks ... wonderful.” It wasn’t to his taste, but he supposed it wasn’t so strange for where he was. “It is a lot warmer inside, is that usual for these type of houses?” Of course at home, being out of the weather did make a difference, but something about this warmth felt ... unnatural, there was also no fire to be seen that could be heating up the space.
lordofthegoldenflower:
“You didn’t need to do that,” Finn said as he stepped over to the table. It was nice to see Legolas with a bit more energy in his step than he had for as long as he had known him. If he had known it would be so easy to cheer him up, he would have offered a trip to his grandfather’s place months ago. “But it does smell absolutely delicious.”
He settles into a chair, letting his guest do what he wanted as far as serving breakfast went and hoping that he would eat as well. “So I let Grandpa know we are driving up today so he’ll have rooms prepared for us, and he has already talked to his chef about having vegetarian offerings at our meals for you. Is there anything else you want me to make sure he knows?”
After serving Finn the breakfast he had prepared, Legolas sat down as well and began eating. “Not really, I will have everything I need there. Nature, and your company. What more could I possibly wish for?” Yes, there were other things he could wish for, but he knew that going home wasn’t going to be happening any time soon. And he truly loved spending time with Finn, so this trip was going to be perfect.
Briefly watching Finn eat, Legolas couldn’t help the smile on his lips and began to eat again as well. “You know, I think I could not have been more fortunate. Meeting you, it has truly been a blessing in this strange time.”
