The boardwalk just seemed like an immediate ticket to being cool. It placed a pretty nice setting, lounging about the ships. If only the cool kids were there, it would’ve made it that much better, and not only that, it would be the sense of validation into the group that he felt like he deserved.
If it weren’t the cool kids, footsteps seemed to take up most of the noise that the nighttime of the boardwalk offered. He had to look up a little, eyebrows raised, cheeks flushed as he realized the girl. The hot summer babe from that one night, they got two doughnuts on the house. How could he forget? What he did forget was telling her Sadie’s name. It wasn’t like she wore a name tag. But then again, it wasn’t like he didn’t check.
❛Oh, me? Just lounging.❜Eyebrows furrowed, hands were shoved into his jacket pockets. As he leaned back. ❛Sadie isn’t my only friend.– How do you know her name, anyways?❜
“Oh ahah.. I could have sworn you said her name as I went to buy doughnuts from you guys. Stevonnie needed a good cover so they quickly thought on their feet. “You’re a friend of Steven though, right? I remember him mentioning you two before. I guess you could say he’s like my best friend.” That seemed very believable so they didn’t have to worry too much.
