BECOME A SECRET ANGEL THIS NATIVITY FAST
Saint Elisabeth Convent are inviting everyone to become a 'secret angel' during the period of October 27th until January 20th. Order gifts from their Gift Catalog (or simply donate) and your gifts will be given to the children and adults with special needs that live in their boarding houses as well as to the disadvantaged adults that live on their farmsteads and supporting houses (such as women fleeing domestic violence).
Choose a Gift of Love: Select one or more items you would like to give as a Christmas present to an individual with disabilities.
Identify Your Gift: During checkout, simply add "Secret Angel" in the notes or comments section of your order.
Your purchased gifts will not be sent to you. Instead, their Sisters will personally deliver them as Christmas presents to the wonderful individuals with special needs or coming from disadvantaged backgrounds within their care community. After the time of the collection and distribution of gifts, they will also make a blog post sharing photos and updates of people getting to open their gifts. If you are able, please do consider giving a gift. And please do keep these people in your prayers.
Some might say: "I am not an angel, far from it!" Yet, your charitable gift makes a world of difference and can be truly salvific. It reminds the needy children and adults about the joy and love of Christ. It brings hope to vulnerable adults who have been in a living hell and have come to us for help in pulling themselves out of it.
American friends: If you are so convicted to donate to food banks during the ending of SNAP benefits, as someone who worked in nonprofit, please know it is much more impactful to donate MONEY than it is to donate food. Food banks can order items in bulk and get them tax free, and it gives them the flexibility to order what they need.
Check on your neighbors, help each other out 🙏🏻
Most holy Apostle, Saint Jude Thaddeus, friend of Jesus, I place myself in your care at this difficult time. Help me know that I need not face my troubles alone. Please join me in my need, asking God to send me: consolation in my sorrow, courage in my fear, and healing in the midst of my suffering. Ask our loving Lord to fill me with the grace to accept whatever may lie ahead for me and my loved ones, and to strengthen my faith in God's healing powers. Thank you, Saint Jude Thaddeus, for the promise of hope you hold out to all who believe, and inspire me to give this gift of hope to others as it has been given to me.

Luke 12:13-21
Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.” But he said to him, “Friend, who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you?” And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one's life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” Then he told them a parable: “The land of a rich man produced abundantly. And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’ Then he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “‘Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.” ’ But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.
1 Peter 2:23
When he was abused, he did not return abuse; when he suffered, he did not threaten; but he entrusted himself to the one who judges justly.
Two Tumblr blogs have cropped up claiming to be an 'Orthodox Daily Prayers' app and 'Catholic Daily Prayers' app. The Orthodox blog is connected to the app: Orthodoxy: Prayers & Bible and the Catholic blog is connected to the app 'Catholic Faith — Live Prayers'.
These apps are AI created, the same publisher also creates apps for Judaism and Islam. They use AI generated Icons, AI generated images of people such as Pope Francis, both the Orthodox and Catholic apps had/have books missing from the Bible, and there's other flaws from the fact that they're just getting AI to scrape the internet with nobody working to verify what is being added. They are charging a lot of money for subscriptions to each of these apps for AI slop that is at risk of getting struck down for copyright infringement and is likely to be spiritually harmful through incorrect information that the AI is drawing from or 'hallucinating'. You also have no way of knowing where your money ends up, it would not be supporting an organisation/person connected with your faith because they create apps for other faiths too in order to try and bring in money.
Please be so careful about the faith apps that you download, always check online to see if an app you're considering using is recommended by anyone of actual authority in your faith. Please also be very careful of reviews that are left on these kinds of apps, it is entirely possible for them to pay people to leave good reviews - reviews are not evidence that an app is trustworthy.
Hail, bright star of ocean,
God's own Mother blest,
Ever sinless Virgin,
Gate of heavenly rest.
Taking that sweet Ave
Which from Gabriel came,
Peace confirm within us,
Changing Eva's name.
Break the captives' fetters,
Light on blindness pour,
All our ills expelling,
Every bliss implore.
Show thyself a Mother;
May the Word Divine,
Born for us thy Infant,
Hear our prayers through thine.
Virgin all excelling,
Mildest of the mild,
Freed from guilt, preserve us,
Pure and undefiled.
Keep our life all spotless,
Make our way secure,
Till we find in Jesus,
Joy forevermore.
Through the highest heaven
To the Almighty Three,
Father, Son and Spirit,
One same glory be. Amen.
Matthew 4:3-4
The tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” But he answered, “It is written, ‘One does not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ ”
thought these would be funny to make so here you go
"We must keep the eye of faith fixed on Jesus Christ who climbs the hill of Calvary loaded with his Cross, and as he toils painfully up the steep slope of Golgotha we should see him followed by an immense throng of souls carrying their own crosses and treading the same path. Oh, what a beautiful sight this is. Let us fix our mental gaze firmly on it. We see close behind Jesus our most holy Mother, who follows him perfectly, loaded with her own cross. Then comes the Apostles, Martyrs, Doctors, Virgins and Confessors. . .Jesus himself, despite all our unworthiness, has associated us with this beautiful company. We must make every effort to merge ourselves increasingly in these ranks and hasten with them along the road to Calvary. We should look to the end of the journey and not separate ourselves from this fine company; we must refuse to follow any other way than the one they tread.” - St Padre Pio
"He who desires to consecrate himself to God must, in the first place, trample under his feet, all regard for what others will say of him." - St Francis Borgia
