“And a one and two and- AH!”
It’s with a startled yelp that she goes down, a small ‘oof’ escaping the dancer’s lips once she’s on the ground. At least this time it’s not a serious fall, a quick glance over herself and checking for injuries tells her that. A bit of pain from it, but nothing that won’t go away in a few hours. She’ll be fine.
Still…it’s not like I don’t have a luxury of time but…
Alyssa sighs, lying down on her back and looking up at the sky, sighing softly to herself. Sure, she’s a student here, at Hope’s Peak Academy of all places (a dream come true for so many) but she still feels like she has something to prove. That out of anyone they could’ve scouted for this year, it was her. That she was given the chance to be here and given the title she has (and she wears it with pride of course) but…there’s something that comes with that.
With this title comes a lot of pressure. That she has to own up to it and she’s not allowed to let people down. She doesn’t want to of course but that doesn’t mean those thoughts don’t slip in from time to time. She loves dancing with all her heart and she wants to show that she deserves this title and this chance, despite all of her doubts and worries.
“Oh well…that’s why I keep practicing of course…” And speaking of she should get back to it. She pushes herself up to a sitting position, stretches a bit and then stands up, ready to get back to dancing when…
“Ah, Saihara-kun!” she calls out to the detective, spotting him near where she is. “What are you doing here? Shouldn’t you be in class?” They both should be but she has her reasons for not being there right now.
Thoughts run amok in his head, without organisation or any real purpose besides keeping him from his goals. Despite everything, despite how fortunate he is to be here at Hope’s Peak Academy— there’s times like now when the weight of it all feels just a little too much to bear.
With recognition comes more cases. With more cases comes less time to sit down and think about anything that isn’t strictly related to said cases. This week in particular has been packed with case after case, and he’s found that today, his only free time is... when he should be in class.
It’s another privilege for the Ultimates, isn’t it? They don’t have to attend every class. Not technically.
Some amount of guilt gnaws at him, but he tries to push it aside, to focus on having some time to breathe—
Until he hears a yelp, that is. Concern mixed with detective instincts quickly leads him to the source of the sound, and it’s there he finds... a familiar face.
“Ah... Alyssa-san.” Addressing her in return, Saihara acknowledges her question but doesn’t quite answer it. “I... could ask the same to you. I heard a yelp... Are you okay?”
