The book store was his favorite place to go whenever he needed a break from the chaos of life. He bought a book recommended to him by a friend and headed to the coffee shop inside the store. He bought a cup of hot chocolate and headed to a table for one. He sat with his back to a woman sketching in a notebook and began to read his book. Two pages into the book Ares mind was already wandering. He looked around and couldn’t help but wonder what the woman behind him was so engulfed in sketching. He looked over her shoulder watching her sketch in awe and whispered to himself quietly, “Amazing.”

The mute had wondered if she had heard the words correctly, but her ears never failed her, unlike her mouth, so she knew she heard right. Her privacy was disturbed by what sounded like a male, so she turned, slightly, to see who it was that disturbed her. The person behind her was fairly handsome and didn’t look like he would bite, so she thanked him, but not with her mouth. Jinsol had mouthed it while her hand moved to touch her lips and back down. A simple smile spread over her features as she hadn’t mind the male’s curiosity.

Silence. Silence had always been Jinsol’s best friend whether she wanted it to be or not. The sound of her voice is one she could no longer remember. It used to be there. It was the most beautiful sound until silence became her best friend. She never once complained to anyone about silence because silence was nice, but it was also hard sometimes.
