Recently i saw a post of vi and caitlyn X Male Reader. Naturally, due to cait and vi being CONFIRMED lesbian characters, i was beyond appalled. I checked the comments under that fic to see if anyone had said anything, or if anyone had reposted the fic with a response, i found nothing. I moved to their blog, intrigued, because has nobody really spoken up about this?? Sure enough, i found a post that they made responding to an anon who had called them out, to which they responded to the anon with these EXACT words:
“The only thing I found on their sexuality was that they were queer. It doesn’t explicitly state on any official media that they’re lesbians. It’s possible they’re bi or pan, and while I agree it’s probable they’re lesbians, this was also a request. I wasn’t going to not write it, even if I don’t fully believe they’re not lesbians. Especially since the official media only states that they’re queer.
I don’t accept hate on my page, and I’m not going to shame the requester because they like the characters. If official media stated them as 100% lesbians it would also be a bit different. I’ve gotten some comments on this, and while I don’t support erasing sexualities in canon media, again…it only states they’re queer.”
So to @ijwrsmff, you say you did your research, no? I call absolute bullshit.

I’ve done ACTUAL research, unlike you, and here are all the OFFICIAL sources i’ve personally found that explicitly establish vi and caitlyn as lesbians. Keep in mind, these were extremely easy to find, so your lazy ass has absolutely no excuse for claiming you conducted “research” while somehow failing to uncover a single one of these sources, or just a single source in general.

Why did i mention Ben Forbes? Because he made this post in 2025 [click for link], explicitly stating that vi is NOT bi, nor any other sexuality, but rather strictly LESBIAN. More importantly, he explicitly stated that the narrative team had specifically asked him to make that statement publicly. So unless you’re suggesting that a member of Riot’s own narrative team somehow doesn’t understand their own character, your argument falls apart immediately.

Vi and cait both have two separate pages on the Fandom Wikia website, one for them in LoL the game, and one for them in Arcane the show. And in all four of them, two for cait and two for vi, they’re labeled as lesbians.

Here is Riot Game’s official website, sharing fan art during pride month, in 2023. Some of which show caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag. I don’t see why they would put that on their OFFICIAL website, if they did not agree with it. [click for link]
This took me no more than 15 minutes to find. I’m almost certain that if i actually sat down and conducted a more extensive search, i would’ve found even more sources. So you claiming that you conducted “research” and somehow found NOTHING AT ALL that explicitly identifies vi and cait as lesbians is not only ridiculous, it is visibly dishonest.
You said “while I agree it’s probable they’re lesbians, this was also a request. I wasn’t going to not write it.” Why not? You’re acting as though you have absolutely no agency nor free will over what you choose to create, as though someone sending you a request somehow absolves you of personal responsibility for choosing to fulfill it. You’re a 27 year old, acting like you’re not old enough to distinguish right from wrong, or to understand that you are fully capable of exercising your own judgment and refusing to participate in something you know is wrong.
And that is especially hypocritical considering you claim you “don’t support” queer and lesbian erasure, while actively facilitating it. You had multiple opportunities to acknowledge the canon, reconsider the request, or simply refuse/ignore it. Instead, you chose to turn a blind eye to the easily accessible official sources that, without a doubt, establish caitlyn and vi as lesbians, and then used the ambiguity of the word “queer” as a convenient justification for writing them as something they canonically are NOT.
You claim you don’t support queer erasure while actively CONTRIBUTING to it. You are actively creating a space where men can come into your inbox and request fantasies involving literal lesbians, and instead of questioning why they feel entitled to do so, what it is that you might’ve done to make them think your space is a safe space for them, you defend their right to make those requests because you apparently don’t want to “shame” them.
Us as queer people, us as LESBIANS, didn’t endure years and years of discrimination, torment, and absolute mental and physical torture, something a lot of us still experience to this day, something i experience everyday, just for those same people to come along, sexualize us, fantasize about us, and strip away the very identity that our representation is supposed to depict, all while hiding behind the excuse that it’s “not real” or “not official.”
They’re dating for fucks sake. There is an entire scene where caitlyn shows clear discomfort toward flirting with a man, then goes OUT OF HER WAY to seek out a woman instead. There is an overwhelming amount of official lesbian art, posts, and promotional material surrounding them. Riot Games have literally reposted fanart of Caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag. Riot Games have made OFFICIAL art of Caitlyn and vi with the lesbian flag.
At what point does it become enough evidence for you people? When the company that CREATED THEM explicitly associates them with lesbian representation? When members of Riot’s own teams publicly identify vi as a lesbian? When official promotional material depicts them alongside other lesbian characters?
You are beyond appalling to me for enabling this behavior, for participating in it, for writing what you wrote, and for deliberately providing a safe space for men to fantasize about literal lesbians.

If they know anything about LoL or Arcane, they almost certainly know that cait and vi are lesbians. They knew what they were requesting. And yes, they SHOULD be called out for it. They don’t get to hide behind the fact that you were the one who ultimately decided to fulfill their request. Both of you deserve criticism for your respective choices.
I’ve said this already, but don’t even attempt to lie your way out of this by claiming you didn’t know. You said yourself that you conducted “research” and found nothing establishing cait or vi as lesbians.
IT TOOK ME NO MORE THAN 15 MINUTES TO FIND WHAT YOU ALLEGEDLY COULDN’T.
That is NOT a failure of available information. That’s a failure of your own willingness to look.
I don’t care if this makes those men out there who want to sexualize lesbians so badly angry. Good. Let them be angry. I’ll continue to speak up for what’s right and for my people, because yes, it IS that serious. You will NOT turn our safe spaces into something else. You will NOT take the very little representation that we have in comparison to heterosexual people and deliberately reinterpret it into something more convenient for you.
Caitlyn and vi are lesbians. That’s not an invitation for debate. That’s not an “inconvenience”you can simply disregard by saying “they’re only queer.” In order to justify and excuse what you want to write. Caitlyn and Vi are lesbians, THAT is what they are.
Deal with it.
I know there are probably some queer women out there who might’ve seen that fic about cait and vi x reader, and i know it might’ve made them feel a particularly unpleasant way, but they might’ve been hesitant to say anything. I know because some of my mutuals reached out to me, and it genuinely hurt to see them feeling too scared to speak up about something like this happening in their OWN space.
No matter how hard we try to build and preserve these safe spaces for ourselves, there will always be people who feel entitled to enter them and undermine the very sense of safety we’ve created.
I don’t blame them. I don’t blame any queer women who might’ve wanted to say something but felt too scared, uncomfortable, or worried about what might happen if they did. After all, our people have been subjected to discrimination and hostility for generations, and it’s completely understandable that some of us might hesitate to put ourselves in a position where we could be targeted for speaking out.
But i’m making this post because i want you to know that you’re NOT alone. I’m here, and i can assure you that there are so many other people who probably saw that post and felt the exact same way you did.
You are not being dramatic, you are not overreacting, and you are not wrong for feeling uncomfortable seeing something like that in a space that is supposed to be safe for people like us.
So to all the queer women reading this, if you need anything, whether you want to talk, vent, or simply have someone who understands, my dms are always open for you.

Violet :
Vi is a cuddler. She'll never admit it, but she is even worse than Sera about physical affection. Whether it's Cate or Sera, preferably both, Vi's favorite activity is to just lay in bed and snuggle with them.
Vi is definitely the more outwardly affectionate between her & Cate, but she still has issues expressing it at times. After Chapter 11, Sera's been able to bring her out of her shell, and she's slowly grown more comfortable verbally expressing her feelings.
Vi is still hurting very deeply from Jinx's 'death'. Her & Sera definitely have a trauma bond in that way, but they're slowly working through it. She tries to not let it bother her too much, but in the moments when her grief becomes too much, Cait & Sera are always there for her.
Vi's taken up learning how to sing after Chapter 11, mostly from Sera's insistence. Vi loves hearing compliments from her partners, and singing has also slowly built up her social confidence as well.
Vi is definitely a service top. Her girls come first above all else, but it also has given her a praise kink. Even a simple "You did so good" is enough to make her preen & blush. It's become one of Sera's favorite things to tease her about, and take advantage of.
Caitlyn :
Caitlyn is the most closed off of the three, but mainly in public. PDA is still something new for her, so she's taking it slow - sometimes too slow, as Sera or Vi will pull her into a kiss before she can protest, which usually results in Cait's cheeks turning rosy for about an hour.
Cait's love language is intimate physical touches. Hand-holding, cheek-cupping, little things like that are what really get to her. It reminds her that Vi & Sera are real, and the touches ground her before her mind can convince her otherwise.
Cait blames herself for Sera losing her eye, even though Sera's told her plenty of times that it wasn't her fault. That coupled with Maddie's betrayal has definitely dealt a blow to Cait's confidence, but Sera & Vi have done their best to reaffirm her.
Cait knows that Jinx survived, but she hasn't told Sera or Vi, at least not yet. She saw how devastating it was to lose her once, and without solid proof, it would be cruel at best to give false hope, especially to Sera.
Cait is a pure switch. She'll be dominant sometimes, and submissive others, and that makes spicy time all the more fun for everyone. She's also the most vanilla out of the three, but she's open to experimenting, and Sera has done a lot to open her mind through various means.
Sera :
Sera has mellowed out substantially after Chapter 11. The loss of her eye was the final nail in the coffin for any potential combat duties - despite her protests, so she's taken to rummaging through the vast Kiramman library and reading whatever strikes her fancy.
She still gets phantom pains from her eye, but she's managed to navigate pretty well despite the loss. With her newfound down time, she rekindled her friendship with Mr. Kiramman, and the two spent long hours mindlessly chatting as they'd done so long ago.
Sera is clingy, now more than ever. She will straight up whine or beg if Cait or Vi aren't around for immediate snuggles. She's become far more comfortable expressing herself openly after the incident in Chapters 6 & 7, especially around Cait.
She definitely enjoys spending more time with Cait, especially since they'd officially made up, but the perfect day was having both Cait & Vi with her no matter what they were doing.
Sera is a pleasure dom. She enjoys caring for Vi & Cait during their sessions, guiding them with a kind hand and making sure they're getting the most out of it, including utilizing Vi's praise kink. She takes her time with Cait, slowly working down her defenses and making her squirm before giving her what she needs.
All :
They all require their own space occasionally. Vi likes to wander the Kiramman gardens, the silence helps to quiet her mind. Cait visits her mom's statue or the abstract art by the lake. Her mom was the most stabilizing part of her life despite the two's differing views, and being in either place helps steady her.
Sera on the other hand, revisits one of two places : The Hexgate courtyard where she's lost her eye or Viktor's commune. Both places serve as a reminder of her mortality, of what has been sacrificed for the world they know to continue. It may seem grim, or even paradoxical, but to Sera, there's no greater reminder than the eerie silence of what once was.
They all like to work out together. If Vi or Cait begins a regiment, the others will join them within five minutes. It's become a sort of bonding experience for them, the shared encouragement and slight showing off pushing each to better themselves. Vi naturally flexes every chance she gets, which always distracts Sera, but what really gets her is spotting Cait's pronounced abs. There will be a drool puddle every time.
These are all the ones I can come up with for the moment, but there will be more headcanons for the rest of the Arcane cast. Look out for that in the coming day or so. Love y'all. <3 <3 <3

mama i’m tired what’s the harm in coexisting. shipping culture back in my day used to actually be fun. you liked your thing, i liked mine, and we kept it moving. i genuinely miss when it was about exploring dynamics and not proving your ship is superior.
what really gets me is how ugly it turns. some anti-lc takes are just thinly veiled queerphobia. some anti-tb takes just slide straight into racism and ableism. over fictional ships. that’s insane.
you can dislike a ship without dehumanizing the characters or the fans who love them. i promise you the world will keep spinning if someone enjoys a different fictional pairing than you do.

a year ago this kind of night wouldn’t even be something you let yourself think about, let alone have. but here you are anyway. jinx and vi have been working at it in small and stubborn steps, but it's added up to a point where things are pretty stable now. one of the things that came out of their rekindling was this tradition. the four of you have dinner together at caitlyn and vi’s once a week, no excuses unless something truly goes sideways (which thankfully hasn’t happened in a while).
today’s pretty much the same as all the other dinners. voices overlapping and cutlery clinking, vi saying something that makes cait sigh in that long suffering way that isn’t actually annoyed… you’re kinda listening but not really, because jinx has her foot hooked around yours under the table.
she starts testing the waters with a tap so light that you almost miss it, then a more intentional one. you don’t react, so naturally she nudges you again like she’s poking at you just to see what you’ll do. when you finally look over, her bright pink eyes are already watching you intently, and her lips are twitching like she’s about to laugh.
you bump her back with exactly the same amount of force. she folds in on herself a little, shoulders shaking as she presses her lips together to keep quiet, and it’s so stupidly endearing that you have to look away for a second just to get yourself together.
“is everything alright?” caitlyn asks, instantly catching on.
“oh just peachy, cupcake!” jinx says way too quickly, obviously never missing a chance to poke fun at her sister’s nickname.
she doesn’t push further than that, taking the chance that your attention is off your plate to steal a bite from it. you protest and lightly shove her away, only for her to dart back in and plant a quick smooch on your lips.
“what’s mine is yours, sweetcheeks.. and what’s yours is still worth stealing.” she pops the morsel into her mouth, chewing smugly.
you can feel your face heating up, traitor that is, but you don’t pull away.
“greedy.”
“duh.”
vi rolls her eyes but smiles at the sweet moment between you two, even if it’s a little weird seeing her baby sister so love drunk on her girlfriend. it’s been like this the entire night. jinx looking at you constantly, with these big heart eyes everytime you say literally anything, chin in her hand while she watches you talk like you hung the damn moon. cait will ask you something and halfway through your answer jinx has already leaned closer, whispering some off topic comment in your ear that sends the both of you detouring into your own bubble again.
it’s all very familiar, not exactly the same powder vi remembers in detail but close enough in these moments. for a long time, she thought that part was gone completely. after everything that happened and with the way things ended back then, she thought maybe there wasn’t a road back to anything that looked like okay. nothing about their lives has ever been simple, but it’s clear that piece by piece, something good grew anyway.
