Angelina Jolie filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt on Tuesday and the world breathlessly looked to Jennifer Aniston for her response. They did this because once upon a time Aniston dated Brad Pitt, who eventually left her for Angelina Jolie.

For her part, Jennifer Aniston was not interested in discussing the matter.

“Fuck society, you people make me sick,” said Aniston on the Today show. “While you idiots are talking about this Brangelina bullshit, you’re ignoring what just happened yesterday with Terence Crutcher. An unarmed black father of four was driving home from college when his car broke down. The police showed up and shot him while both of his hands were in the air. This was all caught on video, which you can easily watch on the Internet. But instead, no, none of you will do that. You will instead focus on the fact that a celebrity couple is going through a divorce. Fuck you.”

Aniston continued:

“The same people that get super offended and lose their minds over whether or not an athlete takes a knee during the National Anthem don’t give two shits when an innocent person is executed with video evidence. They always say that it ‘needs more investigation.’ What is the matter with people? Do they not have souls? This country needs to get its shit together, stop shooting its citizens, and stop focusing on stupid nonsense so much.”

Response to Aniston’s comments have been divided.

“Damn, Jennifer is spittin’ hot fire today,” said one Facebook commenter. “I had no idea she was so woke.”

“How dare she? She can go to hell,” said another Facebook commenter. “We don’t need her libtard opinions about blah blah blah video evidence she just jealous cuz Angelina stole her man.”

While Aniston’s stand on the issues is to be lauded, it is not expected that anything in the world will change.

I mean, I know its cool to be all edgy and cynical and farther left than thou, but some of this is just factually and demonstrably wrong.

Anti-Abortion: Time Kaine has a 100% rating from both Planned Parenthood Action Fund & NARAL Pro-Choice America

Pro-Austerity: This doesn’t even really make sense in an American context? But he’s pro-raising tax on the rich and has 0 or single digit scores from groups that want to cut social services to pay for tax cuts for the rich, like Americans for Prosperity or Club for Growth.

Pro-TPP: I mean, this one is true, but the fact that he’ll probably have to reverse his position and is running for Vice President is actually good for TPP opponents: It means it likely won’t be able to pass in a lame duck session.

Pro-NAFTA: This seems kinda out of left field? Cause the man wasn’t even in local government when this passed, let alone national government. He was a fair housing attorney in Richmond back then.

Anti-LGBT: Human Rights Campaign gives him another 100% rating, so once again this seems like a stretch.

Anti-abortion: wow, literally BBC is the one running this story. But it’s just the ultraleft and right wingers making shit up? 

While he is committed to the broader tenets of Roe v Wade, including a woman’s right to choose, he supports restrictions on certain types of abortion, parental consent laws and “informed consent” practices.

i’m sorry, but unless you are a hundred percent pro-abortion, on demand, without the need for parental consent, and “informed consent” is literally rape in some cases, ie you have to get a thing jammed up your vagina by a doctor, you’re anti-abortion. 

He’s also supportive of abstinence only sex ed, but only recently conceded but still champions “abstinence-centered” sex ed. 

or there’s this from Politico, which illustrates that he’s basically shifted “leftward” just to because it was the politically savvy thing to do. If all of a sudden we saw a shift back towards anti-abortion sentiment how fast do you think his views would change?

The Tim Kaine who has represented Virginia in the Senate since 2012 has seemed several shades more liberal on reproductive rights than the Tim Kaine who led the state as governor from 2006 to 2010. As Politico wrote in a deep-dive about Kaine’s “abortion predicament” earlier this month:

“Kaine has tried to cultivate an image as an abortion-rights champion. He’s pleased reproductive rights’ groups with a perfect voting record. He’s railed against GOP attempts to defund Planned Parenthood. And he’s celebrated in their legal victories, including last week’s Supreme Court ruling tossing out a Texas law that tried limiting a woman’s access to abortion clinics.”

Pro-Austerity: 

He supports “targeted spending reductions,” which is just polspeak for austerity lite

Pro-NAFTA: he wasn’t in office then, but neither was i but i can still be pro or anti-nafta. He supports “free trade,” and honestly if he supports “NAFTA on steroids” why would he not support NAFTA?

Anti-LGBT: again, he only supports it because he was eventually dragged into the tidal wave when it was gaining momentum. I recall there being a meme on here when same sex marriage passed about how all the politicians in the first panel didn’t support it but in the second panel, after they received a call that the supreme court approve it, they all started screaming that they always supported it a hundred percent. If you google it, you’ll find multiple lgbt websites that point out that he basically only supports LGBT people because it is politically a good thing to do. He was opposed to same-sex marriage but supported domestic partnerships, ie he thinks the gays should be second class citizens. He was also against adoption for a while too. 

He’s also pro-death penalty, he oversaw 11 executions as governor. Governors have the power to stay executions, why didn’t he?

He also supports the bombings in Syria, and it more than likely pro-war on terror, cause what politician isn’t?, but liberals don’t care about people outside of the US so there’s really no point in trying to use that to illustrate that, like every other politician, he’s a piece of shit. 

but this was a waste of my time cause 99 percent of the liberals i upset are lesser-of-two-evils and don’t have spines and would never actually utilize direct action. i just think it’s funny that it doesn’t take too much digging to disprove all the whiny liberals claiming i am spreading misinfo or deliberately lying.
