what she says: im fine
what she means: cape town is where the last show U.S. pop punk band panic! at the disco played with its original members. it is during that time that many fans believe ryan ross and brendon urie broke up. with lyrical similarities between the young veins and post split panic! songs, the theory is very possible. in 'cape town' by the young veins, the band formed by original guitarist ryan ross and bassist jon walker, there are lyrics such as "i saw you, i met you, i loved you i, I left you, in cape town." this would allude to ross leaving urie and the band in cape town. the songs title and the lyric "when i was in asia i forgot how to call you." also bring up an interesting point. in the post split song 'bittersweet' by panic! at the disco, urie sings, "i've been to tokyo and to south africa, so many places that you may say i've seen it all. but my favorite place is the warm embrace of holding your hair back in a bathroom stall." south africa and tokyo = cape town and asia. the song is very blatantly written about a relationship gone sour, so it is quite possible that these lyrical similarities are intentional. keep in mind, this is not the only instance of corresponding lyrics. this has happened on numerous occasions, most recently with panic!'s new hit song 'hallelujah'. in 'lie to the truth' by the young veins, ross says, "i know i broke your heart, mine is broken too, now if we're even, then why are we both blue?" it didn't take long for fans to realize that urie had done it again. in 'hallelujah', he says, "and being blue, is better than being over it." is this yet another direct response? seems so. a third example of this is yet again from 'cape town' and the song 'the calendar' by panic! at the disco, which was written after the spilt. in 'cape town', ross writes "woke me in the morning, asked me if i meant it. i didn't." in 'the calendar', urie writes "and i meant everything i said that night. i will come back to life, but only for you." could this be brendon having feelings that weren't been reciprocated by ryan? the song 'the calendar' was, according to urie, about ross leaving the band. however, the lyric "at night your body is a symphony and im conducting' may suggest that there was more between the two than what might first meet the eye. there have been an astounding amount of occurrences like these, so it's fairly obvious it isn't some wild fan theory. another incriminating lyric from 'cape town' is "took you in the vinyard a couple hours after i met you. didn't need my passport said id let you keep it forever." shortly after the last panic! at the disco show, original panic! drummer spencer smith said, "recently we played in a - like a vinyard is south africa. that was pretty unbelievable." since the song 'cape town' was written shortly after the show, it is almost certain that is the vinyard ross is referring to. now, why would he give a total stranger his passport? that's simply illogical. he would give it to someone he had known and trusted for years...who other than brendon urie? considering all the other points made, it's likely that urie was the receiver of the passport. in 'cape town', ross pens "went into a graveyard to bum a couple flowers to give to you when i got back to cape town." now, if ross was taking live flowers, he obviously had the intention of returning very soon as the flowers would die. fans have speculated two things - that cape town is a metaphor for ryan and brendon's relationship or one for the band itself. could this be ross realizing he shouldn't have left brendon and the band? could he be guilt ridden? either way, it's clear he has some regrets. after his departure, he tweeted "i knew i shouldn't have left. i got tired of being buried." it is very clear that his is about leaving brendon and/or the band, as there is no other context this could be taken in. it becomes clearer that ross regrets his decision leaving, and has even said he "wasn't against" making music with brendon. however, the more suspicious of the tweets took place directly after the split. on june 23rd, 2009, brendon urie tweeted "love me. love me. say that you love me. i can't care about anything but you." on june 28th, 2009, just five days after urie's, ryan ross tweeted "I love love love you." now, both were in steady relationships at the time, urie with his future wife and ross with his girlfriend. it would seem strange that urie would tweet something like that. all that aside, the fact that the dates are so close and that it was directly after the split makes it suspicious. what really seals the deal is the amount of "loves" there - ross replied with the exact amount urie asked for. though evidence continues to pile up, we can only ask one thing - what happened in cape town?
Ideal date: laying in ur bed showing u all my favorite songs
I love doing my thing while someone else is in the room doing their thing. Like if you come over and you want to sit by the window and read while I sit on the floor drawing something and listening to a cd that would be very nice.
