Nel luogo che ĆØ stato culla del lusso e della moda, con invitati del calibro della Principessa Grace di Monaco e Andy Warhol, performance straordinarie di Liza Minelli e della star degli Anni ā20 per eccellenza Josephine Baker, si affrontarono due squadre di designer in un evento senza precedenti. Una notte che ha cambiato il corso della moda fino ad allora dominata dal gusto francese e passata alla storia come la Battaglia di Versailles.
Uno scontro, ma soprattutto uno show che permise ai designer statunitensi, cosƬ mal visti in Europa e in particolare in Francia, di dimostrare che la moda era anche Made in USA.Ā
