GRL PWR! @ The Railway Hotel

Fishbowl Events presents a day of FREE music at The Railway Hotel, featuring female artists. This is a free event raising money for Help Musicians UK, a charity who offer support for all musicians.

Alongside raising awareness for Women In Music, a not for profit organisation who support the awareness, equality, diversity, heritage, opportunities, and cultural aspects of women in musical arts through education, support, empowerment and recognition. In the garden from 2pm with spoken word and acoustic acts, and in the downstairs bar from 6pm bands. All artists involved are passionate about equality within the music industry and spreading awareness of this. Rosalie Cunningham announces debut solo gig.

Founding Purson person Rosalie Cunningham will be playing her first solo show on 17th July at The Railway Hotel, Southend. It will serve as a warm up for her first festival appearance at this year's Cambridge Rock on 26th July. Her band (Rosco Levee (guitar/bass), George Hudson (guitar/bass), Mark Stonell (keyboards), Samuel Thompson (drums), will be playing an hour + set featuring brand new, unheard songs from their upcoming album, plus some Purson favourites.

Support comes in the shape of gypsy jazz duo Levent & Taylor.

Tickets are £8 on the door upstairs, starting around 9pm.
