We stopped into Mahabuddha in Patan, a stupa (Buddhist temple) built in 1585. It's nickname is the temple of a thousand Buddhas, since there's a Buddha carved on every brick. It's currently being rebuilt after the earthquakes and it's one of the only stupas in Nepal that resembles the famous temple in Bodhgaya, India where the Buddha is believed to have attained enlightenment. #estwst #connectglobally #nepal
