ok sorry for not getting on after, watched letterkenny again and it's lit my favourite show after ob so of course i got caught up. anyway, i'm out with my mom to buy new bedsheets bc my dad's an idiot and burned my set for every fall sem.. kid you not, nl parents are on some kind of potent shit to do dumb stuff like that. but i'll be on this evening, promise!!

It was late, too late to still be working. Este found it necessary to sit and continue on with what she’d been working on all day, something about leaving it unfinished didn’t sit right with her for once. Eyes drooping and focusing solely on repairing the damaged device before her, she hadn’t noticed another person in the room with her until a thump had her wide eyed and jumping in her seat. A sigh left her lips, putting the tools down and moving to face the person. “Fuck, nothing like a heart attack to keep you awake, huh?”

hey y’all, i’m jules and w hy am i still so madly obsessed with 99.9%?? best album ever for the past three months, wish i was kidding. i’m from the weirdest timezone ever (bc we’re always ___ and a half hours ahead/behind people wtf) the nt, i love oatmeal cookies and spiked strawberry lemonade, and tmas is my soulmate, one true love

so, bc this is supposed to be about este and not me, here’s a few quick points about the lil shit with a bit of a tendency for being way more sassy over text/whatever the kids in these futuristic times use than in person:

upstate ny born and raised

has four siblings, her being the second oldest (rip este)

hates to be called estelle so everyone calls her anything but that

became obsessed™ with technology/electrical engineering from a young age thanks to her dad’s job with neo corp (is it cool if i shorten it?? i’m gonna shorten it) as the vp of operations

he let her see the manufacturing and all that fun stuff of their AIs and other tech ventures

safe to say there were many mad experiments/creations at the claxton household courtesy of este

had always been a nerd, especially with her newfound passion

it became her strong suit, ultimately attending columbia to pursue a career in electrical engi and being accepted into the program just before her sophomore year

got her degree and was legit the happiest lil bean on the planet at her grad

when the ai revolution began, she was fresh out of uni, so she wasn’t working just yet

her dad became a casualty to it, leaving the whole fam distraught and scared

so este and her older sis nora stepped up and joined the resistance five months ago while their mom and younger siblings sought refuge elsewhere (which they’re not the happiest about bc they’ve gotta stick together duh)

este’s half like herself before shit went down, half the complete opposite bc of the whole thing

she’s a determined, polite, fun-loving girl who loves what she’s doing, but she’s also very self-reliant (isn’t here for your opinions on what she’s working on sometimes) and stubborn, vindictive towards the New Age and is just a lost little baby

internalizes her more vulnerable/grief-stricken side bc most people have lost someone. plus, she’s not about that “having everyone know everything i feel” life. either way, it’s not healthy at all and she’s too dumb to get it out of her system in some way

just love her pls, be her friend
