Hey everyone, my name's Nikkie, and I'm a 43 year old, full time court clerk, wife & mom. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Oregon. I enjoy working out & eating LOTS. created my Tumblr to get motivation from the Fitblr community but now I mostly whine and shit post. I post random stuff from my day with workouts thrown in, sometimes. I ran my first Marathon in April 2013, Eugene marathon, and my second May 2014, Newport marathon. I have ran three half marathons, my first being November 2011; the second in August 2012 and third August 2013. I completed the Disney Dumbo Double Dare in August 2014. One of the best kinda weekends I’ve had in so damn long. I needed it. Tattoos are done. Did some shopping and wandering. Drinking. Dancing. So much dancing. And Nora En Pure was amazing! The energy I needed with beautiful loving people. Got to see my friends and mingle with more new ones as always.

This new album is going to kill me in an amazing way. I love that there are people singing along to songs that we only know from these live sets! We’ve been watching them as much as we can. Crazy fucking annoyed that the Quasar stage has been this dumb up/down iPhone Bs. The artists deserve better. Was Tiesto last Sunday who is the goat of goats. And testpilot today who is the alter ego of the other goat of mfing goats deadmau5. So come on. Tomorrow is kaskade with IDRIS. As in Idris Elba. The hot actor. And trust me Kaskade gives him a run for his money in the hot department. But also is to goat of music goats too. Give these artists the horizontal views they deserve!

giving birth sucks tbh. not only do you and the baby you’re birthing almost die, usually you shit yourself and often you tear your taint. then you have to push an organ out of your body (placenta) and if even a little of that remains in your body, you can hemorrhage to death or develop an infection that essentially rots your body from the inside out. even if you had a relatively “easy birth”, you bleed for weeks on end. even after that stops, your body and brain is changed for the rest of your life, the pregnancy leeched minerals from your bones, that can cause osteoporosis later. minor urinary incontinence is not uncommon, brain scans of people who gave birth show permanent changes in their brain, you’re never quite the same.

I say all of this not to say giving birth is disgusting but it is a harrowing and visceral experience. society downplays how fucking awful it is and makes it out to be a ~magical~ experience but it isn’t a magical transformative experience for everyone. it can be an extremely traumatic experience for someone who wanted to carry a pregnancy to term, much more so for someone who did not want to be pregnant in the first place or someone who knows their baby won’t survive the birth. anyway, abortion is a right. pregnancy and birth aren’t just inconvenient, it’s fucking awful.

Had a few medical appointments this week, mostly follow ups, but got started on some new meds. One is for weight loss (off label use) and I just started taking it last night. So earlier today I had a sprite and it was kinda mostly flat which is annoying. I thought well maybe it sat in my car and got too warm but not much more. Get home and crack open a beer, same weird flat sensation. So I look up in dr google “why can’t I feel carbonation on my tongue “ and first thing is medication. First medication is of course my new med. I always get the dumb weird side effects and not the cool ones. Guess that is one way to lose weight ? Maybe?

Chopped off a few inches because I was hating my hair and hating everything around it. It feels so much healthier (I stopped coloring too) and so far was a bit quicker to get ready. Plus it’s getting hot and I already am a sweaty bitch so this will hopefully help that too.
