Hey there. My name is Jay and I am a nonbinary human who loves your books. Estranged is amazing. The sequel (the name of which I cannot recall at the moment damn my stupid memory) is even better. I love to write and draw, and I have taken inspiration from your style whilst building my own to begin my own comic. I just wanted to thank you for writing Estranged and putting this beautiful thing out into the world.

Thank you for reading Estranged! I started working in earnest on this story over three years ago, and had begun cultivating the elements of Estranged almost seven years ago! It’s been a fantastic adventure. I’ve always wanted to craft my own fantasy epic, and this story gave me the opportunity. And thanks to you, my readers, I was able to make it happen.

This webcomic gave me the space I needed to find my voice as a writer and experiment with my chosen mediums as an artist. I’ve learned a lot of things as a creative while working on this project.

Now, here’s what’s in the future for Estranged! The graphic novel version of the story, in glorious full color, will be coming to bookstores and libraries this August. I’d always imagined Estranged as a physical book, so I couldn’t be more excited. In addition, the novel version has given me the opportunity to go back and apply the skills I learned to some of the earlier chapters. As such, the graphic novel is much closer to the story I’d envisioned. The book will have updated artwork, as well as a special look into my sketchbooks and the development of Estranged!
