the audacity to publicly condemn and insult someone trying to preserve a central hub for a large portion of the simming community that's been around for decades only to turn around and shut the site down without any warning, having to be chased down on mts for an explanation, and to flippantly tell people to go use those exact same archives for the custom content is absolutely insane.
gos wasn't just those cc links, it was two decades worth of forum activity, some of it by now dead members of the community that we will never see again, torched without a word. to leave that site in limbo for so long when people will willing to step up and help, and to attack the users trying to save what they could of it, is absolutely unfathomable to me. i may have not been fully active as a personality in the community, but i was literally raised on gos. to see it treated with such disregard and contempt for the people on it by someone we all respected was heartbreaking.

Something new from last expansion pack :) this time elegant EP21 Night Dress :) transparency of laces made me scream... (lace was all black in milkshape... in the game it looked like something shiny...) After several hours of hand whitening of normals, I was finally satisfied with the result. As with all long dresses, unfortunately there is clipping at the legs… I hope you like it this way. This time I converted them only for adults, because I thought they were too spicy for teens 😅

Some of you might have seen my TS1 inspired UI floating around twitter, tumblr, discord etc. I've been having people test it in the Lazy Duchess discord but i've decided to upload it here for others to test and so no one else can claim they made it themselves lol. Sorry for the lazy photos but basically it's a recoloured version of the original UI. Pretty much all the elements are done. I'll keep updating until it is done basically. It's made to suit my resolution which is 1920x1080 but I will add the options for wider screens at a later date. Also not sure how well it works with Legacy editon so just be aware that it might display weird

It has always bugged me how much employees of sim-owned businesses can earn compared to traditional careers. The cashier of the local grocery store might get the same money as their spouse who’s working as an intern, and the pet store manager enjoys salary as big as some bigger company’s president. Well, not on my watch.
I seriously wondered if there’s even point to upload this since all I did was extracting one BCON file and changed couple of numbers in it, but I couldn’t find “a mod” for this shared already so maybe there’s someone out there who could use something like this as well? This is what I did:
Base wage is lowered from 150§ to 80§
Every skill point is worth +10§
Every bronze talent badge is worth +20§ (instead of 50§)
Every silver talent badge is worth +40§ (instead of 100§)
Every gold talent badge is worth +60§ (instead of 150§)
Managers get additional 200§ (instead of 700§)
If you disagree with the numbers the BCON file is very self-explaining, so it’s really easy to change them to something that makes more sense to you!
Download (SFS) (alternate) - as far as I know this shouldn’t conflict with anything, but if you run into trouble please run HCDU and let me know if you’ll find something. I’ve tested this in my own game and it worked like supposed.

These are 2-in-1 crib/toddler beds. Just one click on the bed to convert it from one model to another. The crib can be used for babies and toddlers, the toddler bed is for toddlers only. They can use the toddler bed by themselves.

DeeDee's 3t2 conversion of ShirtLong was an instant favorite for me. I'm honestly kinda surprised it took me almost a year to give it more options.

As I hinted at with my club counter mapping fix, I've been invested in a long-term-want-to-do-this-one-day project the last week or so. Pantries. ALL the pantries.
Dusting off my very meagre and rusty Blender skills, I have made some things for you all.
All pics and details below.
The value kitchen gets a pantry at 2 heights - lower (for more generic cupboard vibes) and ceiling height.

One of my favourites, the Epikouros set, also ceiling height
The "blue ribbon" seasons country kitchen gets a non-ceiling height pantry cos I wanted the pretties on top.
Chiclettina Fjord, at ceiling height (get yourself a non-blue glass default though, it looks better I promise)
The University Industrial Steelate kitchen also gets 2 height variations because I could see these cupboards being useful in a variety of different settings and thought options might be nice (medical cabinets maybe?)

Sorry 🙈🙈 If you REALLY DESPERATELY need one... yeah, nah, idk. Maybe I'll do a tiki one, but the others, nope. lol.
All pantries are located in surfaces / misc and cost the same $$ as their matched counter. They are all decorative only. I would love if someone smarter and more capable than me could turn them into functional "snack cupboards" but I lack the know how. So if you're inspired to do it, please be my guest!!
Some of the pantry meshes still have some small issues with normals (MY NEMESIS!!) but I want to give a huge shoutout and thank you to @gummilutt and @morepopcorn for fixing some of them for me, and Poppy particularly for helping me understand how to actually deal with normals in Blender. I really tried and I did improve the meshes a lot as I went.
All pantries were cloned from CTNutmegger's set of upper cabinets, so credits to them. These were occasionally a little "interesting" to work with, but again, I tried my best. And if you need some upper cabinets, you can download those and they should match fairly well. Otherwise, I recommend @nixedsims's Counter Completers and Mutske's kitchen addons too.
Oh, and it should go without saying that these are all repo'd to the Maxis counters so will pick up any recolours you've got 🤗

So, this is a global mod for booths!
At restaurants, sims can now enter dining booths decorated with OMSPs or shiftable clutter, which was a problem before (for @gummilutt anyway 😏)
At home, sims can now successfully serve, eat and clean up dishes in inaccessible parts of tables with dining booths. They will jump in and out of booths or crawl under the table when they can't scoot over normally, for example, when all entry seats are occupied by other sims
They will be able to reach plates in the far corners to clean them or put away
Download for testing
Night Life may be required? Not sure if there are booths in other EPs

- Tableware Setter (a.k.a. table_setter) - let UseInaccessibleDiningBooth load after it, and they'll both work fine

I made it that only very low mood and aspiration levels increase % chance to die, instead of barely red
Also added a BCON setting to skip days between trying to kill someone, in case we want death to be even rarer
Elders Cough is now less deadly, 'cause in testing, it sometimes didn't even give poor sim a chance
+ Some other tweaks I forgot, here and there
I'd like to upload it when I made some versions, light, medium, hard. Some presets for those who can't use SimPE to tune BCONs
But I have a problem 🙄
The mod started out as a coin flip 'live or die' once a day. It was supposed to normalize *all* elders dying before their max age span, some sooner, some later. Elders that lived out their full life stage would be lucky, the ones that exceeded it would be unicorns. It was about not knowing beforehand how long sims have after they have become elders
I think I failed in making THAT mod and made something else out of it, with ENTIRELY different energy
The vibe now is that most elders will live the preset amount of days they were given upon aging up, and anything else is a random accident. That leads to people being upset about their sims dying by mod, because they still expect them to mostly live out their full days
So yeah, you can tell I'm a bit frustrated with it right now 😅
Hey Midge, hope you're keeping well! There's a bug in the game where if a sim has the Skilled Negotiator aspiration benefit (first one for fortune sims) and they get promoted to level 10 in the natural scientist career, the money they earn + bonus exceeds 32767 so it turns negative (don't know if you actually lose money, but you don't get any). Would there be a way to fix this, maybe cap it so when it hits 32767 that's what the sim brings home? TIA!

Negative Promotion Bonus Fix
If between the salary and the promotion bonus and skilled negotiator aspiration benefit the amount a sim brings home from work ever becomes a negative number, this mod will set the total amount to $32,767. The notification will still say a negative amount but the family funds won’t decrease.
What do I do when I'm back in game? I close it down and mod it! High time I released some of my stash.

Put In Crib Menu For Carried Kid
Adds a 'Put This_Kid in Crib' option when a sim is carrying one and when there are multiple babies or toddlers around. The usual 'Put in Crib...' with a selection of kids' names is also there. See, I had a problem with twins: not being able to tell which is which when I wanted to put in crib the one already in sim's hands.
- @differentwolf137 provides his version comaptible with Simler90's BabyToddlerMod (it may probably be used without Simler90's mod as well)
Yet Another Apartment Nanny Controller Fix
I've had this Becks fix for a while, but it couldn't keep *all* the errors at bay, possibly because I've been also using 'ask to watch kids' on non-apartment lots. I found two more error causes and fixed them here. Becks fix is not included.
Fixed SimWardrobe's Employee Digging Controller
I used to have it error out after some time and had to re-buy and re-assign it almost every sim day. Had enough of that dance and fixed it!
Homework Help: Ask Visitors or Friends & Relatives
Normally, a kid can only ask household members to help with homework. But what if they have a smart uncle, can't they ask them when they visit? Choose one version: either all visitors, or only relatives and friends can be asked.
Homework Help: No Drop From Queue
Chasing people around the lot to ask for their help only for them to ignore you and for the interaction to drop out. No more of that!
May also fix other interactions that call 'Teach - Init' global.

Balloons Live Longer
Party balloons will wait for more hours before they start popping. Because I sometimes predecorate for sims' parties, and seeing half the balloons dead before the guests arrive is just. no.
Restockable Photos & Price Fix
If you set for sale a print of a photo made by sim's personal camera or a photo from the Artist career reward in an owned business, and if someone bought that photo, you'd now be able to restock it and sell again, and again. Also, selling price of a Uni camera photo is fixed now. Yay, photographers
Less Complaining & Only When Open (Edited Cyjon's Hack)
In home businesses, I was annoyed by family guests complaining outside of business hours, acting like customers during parties and social visits, but I didn't want to remove complaining altogether. So I took CJ's mod and added a check for if the shop is open. The result: visitors complain less in general and don't complain at all if the business is closed.
Uni Home Business
Allows you to start a home business in university sub-hood. Convenience of doing it after it's started is not guaranteed (but it's fine).
Death Removes Going Steady
I've had 2 issues that I didn't know were related: Grim Reaper sometimes errored out in the middle of his business and some sims thought they were still going steady with their dead boyfriends and girlfriends. When I made this lil' mod for the latter issue, I realized that Adults Go Steady mod already tried to do that, but it had a mistake in it, causing Grimmy to reset and not remove the 'go steady' flags from sims' relationships. If you have it, make my DeathRemovesGoingSteady load after it.
- Conflicts with Postmortem rel flags by Midge, and Midge's mod also removes that relationship flag, see which one suits you better
Death Memory Given To Best Friends, Lovers & Household
I noticed that only relatives and witnesses get a memory of sim's death, and it sucks that sim's best friends and household members may not even acknowledge their death if they didn't happen to be there. Now Grim additionally gives death memories to sims who have these types of relationships to the dead sim: love (red heart), best friend, going steady, engaged, married, enemy (optional), same family/household, relative -- but only if they have met. Color* and strength of the memory varies, i.e. relative who hated them will get a green* 'oh well' memory.
* Green memories for low rel are only available with No Corrupted Death installed
- Choose one version: either BestFriendsLoversHousehold, or BestFriendsLoversHouseholdEnemies. The latter requires nocorruptdeath to get green memories, included in the zip
No Memory Distribution To Unmet Relatives
Your sim will not get the memory of their distant nephew getting a A+ if they've never met. I didn't like when toddlers' early memories got clogged up by an array of 'grew up well' etc. about relatives they haven't seen yet. But I didn't want to suppress these types of memories completely, so I filtered them by having met the person in question. My solution is not perfect: sometimes sims that have met are not important to each other story wise, but it's tricky to assess significance (0/0 relationships do not always mean sims are strangers).

Teddy Talk For Kids, Or Playful & Toy Interested
Who doesn't love it when grown sims pester other grown sims with teddy bear talk? Me, but I didn't want to ban it outright, so I made the autonomy consider sim's playfulness and interest in toys. Restrictions are looser for adult-to-child interactions.
Toy Robot Is For Playful & Interested In Toys
Sorry for the long names, trying to make them descriptive! Tweaked toy robot's autonomy to not attract teens and older sims unless they are playful and very interested in toys, or somewhat interested in toys and very interested in sci-fi at the same time.
Toy Robot Breaks Less
Made toy robots break less often.
Servo Robots Less Run Amok
They just did it too often. As soon as their mood got a bit below the equator it was all hell. Now it's far harder for them to break.
Apology More Effective
Bigger relationship bump after apologizing.

Teens Can Work At Cafeteria Stove
Enabled 'Work In Cafeteria' interaction on that Uni cooktop for teen sims, in case you're using it not only in dorms like I do.
Owned Car Gives More Energy
Trying to motivate myself to use cars more often, I thought I'd choose to drive over 'walk to lot' action if it gave my sim some energy boost, since it's the motive that usually suffers badly when sims go out. So that's what I added: more energy for driving somewhere in a car.
Hobby: Talk, Read, Browse Unlocked To Predestined + Browsing Allowed On Community Lots
Normally, talking about hobby, reading a hobby section in a newspaper and browsing about hobby on a computer aren't available until a certain point of enthusiasm has been reached. I allowed these actions for sims in their predestined hobbies regardless of enthusiasm level. Also, made it possible to browse on community lots.
- If you use Simler90's Electronics Mod, get differentwolf's patch and make it load after both mods
Game Competition More Attractive
Computer game competitions (or LAN parties) made a bit more attractive for sims to start autonomously.
