Sharon Tate on the “Pat Boone Chevy Showroom” Venice episode broadcast on May 5th 1960
As a 17 year old high school senior in Verona Italy, where her father was stationed, Sharon took several jobs as an extra in Hollywood productions filming there, as well as a burgeoning modeling career.
This scene was filmed in Saint Marks square on a cold & windy day, but Sharon, always the trooper managed to keep her dress down & a smile on her face.

Sharon Tate & husband Roman Polanski photographed by Camilla McGrath on the terrace of her penthouse apartment at the Chateau Marmont in 1968
Described by Vanity Fair as not well known, but well known by the well known, Camilla was an Italian countess by birth & amateur photographer never without a camera. Husband Earl McGrath was a screen writer and owned two art galleries (Los Angeles & New York) and became president of Rolling Stones Records. The McGrath’s home was a popular gathering place for people in the arts community.
Sharon Tate at her Cielo Drive home during the first week of August 1969. She received her puppy Prudence as a gift from her husband prior to leaving for the USA from London in July. Based on other photos taken on this day, it’s most likely that Jay Sebring was the photographer.

June 1969 article by Sheilah Graham about speaking with Sharon and Roman at a party. In July, Sharon traveled back to the United States while Roman remained in London working on preproduction for Day of The Dolphin. His plan was for Jack Nicholson and Sharon to star in the film. After Sharon’s death he abandoned the project and Mike Nichols made his own adaptation with a screenplay written by Buck Henry.
