REPUTATION SAVED MY LIFE.
This is something I've debated on posting for a long time. I think it's weird to say a person you never met "saved" your life and that's also a heavy burden to put on said person you have never met. Nevertheless this album was a much needed life line for me.
I have struggled with depression all my life. In 2017 I hit an all time low.
On the outside everything looked fine. I was excelling in my career, I looked fantastic and I was traveling more than ever. All things that made it look like I was thriving.
On the inside, however, I felt worthless, hopeless, sad, and tired. I had stopped reading and listening to music. There were days where my son would be playing and I would just sit motionless and paralyzed on our couch. I was literally a shell of myself. On the outside I looked, acted and sounded like me, but inside I was gone.
By September of 2017 I was so tired of feeling sad ALL THE TIME. I just wanted to go away. I wanted to disappear, vanish, fade away like everyone at the end of Infinity Wars did. I had started planning on taking my life. I had it all planned out.
Then, I found out about the Reputation tour. Seeing Taylor on tour was something I had always wanted to do, but was never able to. So I thought "okay, I'll do this whole verified fan thing. I probably still won't be able to get a ticket, but I'll try."
Well, then I was able to get tickets for the Nashville show. So I thought what's about 9 months? I can wait until then.
During those months I was checking off a bucket list. I was there for my best friend of 15 years wedding, I took my son to Disney World, and then the Reputation concert would be like my farewell to my friends that came with me.
Another thing I did during those months though was I told my mom about what was happening, I got the counseling I very much needed and the support I needed from my friends and family I opened up to.
It took a lot of hard work and there were times when I really didn't think I was going to make it.
Now, I'm in a much healthier place. I look back at 2017 sometimes and think "what would have happened if @taylorswift didn't make her come back at that time? Would I have made it through?"
Anyways, life is weird. Depression sucks. Taylor is amazing. Don't give up. It really does get better.
I don't post on here too often, but I gotta say I just love how Taylor turned herself into a superhero at the end of her AMA performance. ICONIC

I liked Taylor's first handful of singles, but Love Story was what really sealed the deal. It was beautiful and I'm a sucker for book puns. Everytime I hear it now it reminds me of my final year if high school and growing up.
