So he waited. A foolish attempt to tell his big news....
I started playing lobotomy corporation, I want to try and draw each Sephirot with the designed captain of the team in my game. I'll see if I'll make it !
Holio remembered how Hypiy just stared at him. The both were great friends even through their differences.
Hypiy compared to him was always outrighteous flirty. Holio was like that too but he could get way to shy around some people to do it.
All he could do was blushing and stuttering around someone that interested him.
So one day he thought he became allergic to somebody.
Usually his weird shyness would leave after awhile but this time...
It didn't happen.
He couldn't stand around her whitout feeling warm and his hands becoming sweaty.
His breath became cut off sometimes if she spoke to him, even if it was to ask for how he's feeling.
Holio didn't believe it could be anything else but some kind of allergy.
How could it be anything else ?
He kept on thinking more about it and the conversation he had with Hypiy.
"Maybe I'm allergic to them."
"Why would you think that?"
"Because when they get close to me I can't breathe and I get really sweaty and hot."
Hypiy looked at him with a smirk forming on his face. The beetle then started to giggle uncontrollably.
"What ? What's wrong ?" Holio said to him that day, a blush of frustration and embarrassment on his cheeks.
Hypiy just kept on chuckling more at how the chicken had reacted to his laughing.
He continued for awhile before wipping a dark pink tear out of his eye and looked at his frustrated friend.
"Hey buddy, you sure that it's an allergy and not something else maybe ?" He said as the other just stared at the ground trying to hide himself with his arms
"Of course I'm sure ! What else could it be ? Since this girl arrived in the cult I can't stand being around her since I get this weird hot air and have a hard time to breath ! None of the others did this to me, I was shy with some others but I could still feel alright !"
The beetle look at his friend rambling about this girl for a bit before sighing and shaking his head, a smile showing up.
"Say this girl, her name is Chichi isn't it ? The yellow chick always around the star right ?" Hypiy answered after an eyebrow raised in a question manner.
Holio stared at him surprised he'd know her since he's mostly working in one of the lumberyard.
"Yes, it's her.... I must be allergic to her for an unknown reason..." He sighed as he looked at the horizon from the top of the missionary they had climbed on.
A silent was installed for a bit before Hypiy layed down on the roof and hold it's hand to the sky.
"You sometimes worry me with your oblivious reactions to feelings." Hypiy said with a sigh as a shooting star happened
"You saw the shooting star ? Think of it as you" he said to Holio
"It represents you running away from your true self and feelings." Holio stare at his friend with a blank and shocked look
"... What ?" Hypiy couldn't think what Holio thought he said right ?
But it was the case. Hypiy just stared at him with a small smile and eyes almost close giving a kind look to his harsh form.
"You love her Holio. Admit it. It's the reason why you feel sick, it's the effect of caring for someone you love." He said simply to his friend
Holio fell back on the roof eyes wide opened from the news falling on him suddenly.
He now looked blankly at the starry sky as he thought and remembered all the things that arrived since she came.
Holio blinked from his blank stare state as he watched Chichi talked to some other.
He sighed as he put his hands on his face to hide himself.
Footsteps were heard through the forest. A small hooded person carrying a candle kept on advancing through the dark. It's vibrant grey cloak could be seen swaying with how fast they were going.
It felt like someone, or something, was chasing it. What could it be ? Truthfully they didn't know either, but one thing was sure they just had to keep running.
Running was something they were great at. Agility just like everyone else in the council. Something that was pure pride for them all.
Though if anyone would have said that they would be running for their life, just for a candle, they would have laughed at the idiocy of it.
But here they were, it felt like they were chased down. Chased down for having a candle who had it's flame white.
A white flame. Something that isn't used to see, something strange for this world. Compared to all other flames who had an orange reddish glow to it.
The council had found it created in the temple. The one candle on the altars of the star became completely white compared to the red it used to be.
One of the members was then decided to carry the flame, the candle to destination. Where the stars and magic were the most felt. Where the things could not enter.
Only for an hour. An hour of peace from those things that none could see without light in a lantern. Such a scary feelings for everyone who leave the safe of their towns. To know something is around.
A shiver crossed them as they shivered under their cloak. A candle was not enough to show it, so they were blindly going through.
Maybe that was the reason why it felt like they were being chased. Maybe it was because they had no way of knowing where these things were.
They could only run and hope to not get caught in this vicious trap of it.
The run was long and atrocious, jumps from different place in the forest, going up or down.
They wouldn't lie but they were getting tired. Their breath was getting cut short as their legs and feet were starting to slow down significantly.
They could feel those things getting closer on them as it kept on trying to run more and more.
They knew they wouldn't make it out, but they needed at the very least to place the candle down at the place.
Time felt like an eternity as the chase was showing it was going to end soon as the prey was now tired and the predator not.
But the opening in the forest was there, their eyes widened as they used their last energy to run in it.
The stars were starting to get hidden away into the dark, only 5 minutes left of security and to put the candle on the altar.
They approached fastly, slowing down when closer. They hold the candle close as they lead their hands towards it.
The candle in their hand glowing brighter as it got closer. Until it was put on the altar.
The light didn't glow anymore, dimmed as it slowly died of.
"W- what ? No !" They screamed at the loss of the white flame becoming an orange color again. Why did it changed ? They did everything right and protected it !
It costed everyone in the council to get it here just for it to become a candle like all the others ?
They couldn't believe it, their grey eyes becoming wide as they fall on their knees on the floor. They couldn't look away from the candle.
They started crying, head on the floor and their arms holding themselves. What was going to happen now ?
Everything was for not, all hope lost. The place started to be darker as the magic protecting the altar was now out.
The things were going to come as they kept on crying at the loss.
They turned around to it as it tried to back away. They were scared of it but they couldn't run. Their pleas would be ignored.
So they just braced themselves for it to come get them. To trap them like the others.
It got closer and closer, faster and faster before catching them. One last scream could be heard before the silence settled in once more.
The clearing with the altar becoming still, the trees swaying slowly from the wind.
Chapter 1 : The unknown can be scary when you don't see it anymore.
Ding ! Ding !
The church could be heard ringing through the town. A sign that signified the end of the sermon of the morning.
All the people started to leave going to their work or homes. Some talking a bit to catch up from what happened in eachothers life before seperating.
The lamb got out of the church. They look out to all it's followers and sighed.
They still weren't used to such a lively place.
Lambert had now a full town with hundreds in it. Knowing that other towns had been created further off too that still worshipped them was not helping with the feeling.
They still couldn't believe the day they changed.
The pantheon had called them, .... Well more like summoned them by force and surprise.
They hadn't understood that day what would happen.
They were the god of death for awhile after... Defeating the past owner of the role.
But the day they came to the pantheon they had said that Lambert wasn't for this job of death.
How shocked they were when hearing this. They had been this job for a long time to be then told they shouldn't be the god of death ? Unbelievable !
They weren't prepared to be told by them though that they will become a new god.
The god of Fate. The god to see all destinies to come. The new god for watching after all that will happen.
To say they understood... Would be a lie.
Lambert couldn't believe such a thing. It felt impossible to change what god to become and all.
And yet it happened.
Here now stood Lambert with a new crown on it's head which was completely white except for it's grey eye, blinking slowly.
It's clothes and appearance also changed with these new responsabilities. They now wore a white long cloak with golden accents on it. And to top it off, they looked way... Older.
Their height and size was completely increased. They were the same height and size as the previous gods that ruled over the land... The one they also defeated... Which was... Strange to be so tall now.
Of course they were given an ability to go back to their smaller and child looking form, but this appearance felt more suiting to it's new responsabilities.
The god of Fate... A title heard through all the land once it was announced by Lambert. And a title that had been approved, accepted and loved immediately after.
Lambert was surprised at the time to see how all it's followers had accepted it so quickly... But they were the only god, the only deity left that could salvage everything around.
That's what the followers had told them.
Either way, Lambert couldn't go back in time and stop the pantheon from making them the god of Fate instead of the afterlife.
Lambert sighed again with their eyes closed and a hand on it's head from the headache they were getting from thinking too much about all this.
Lambert stared a bit more at the busy town before turning back and going inside the church once more.
They were living inside it after all, below it was the house that it's followers had built. Lambert remembered the followers kept on asking if they were sure about living under the church.
They to tell it's followers so many times that they preferred it this way instead of having a grand castle built just for them.
The followers had been unsure of it through all the building process, but now they didn't mind it at all anymore. After all their god wanted this so they would respect it's choice.
Lambert opened the trap door leading to the stairs before descending in. They closed it after lighting a torch, walking down the stairs.
They reached once more a door, this time being the entry of it's living quarters.
Though most people thought that the living quarters of their god must be covered in riches or blank, none thought it would feel just like their home.
Indeed Lambert had made it a house, a place where it felt nice and cosy. A place where if anyone asked to stay at would be accepted for it had multiple spare bedrooms.
Truly a place for a family to live at if anyone saw it, but only a god resided in it. It was it's home place where they could feel alone and at peace for once.
Lambert entered it's bedroom and let themselves fall on the bed.
They sighed grabbing a hold of the crown who fell from their head at impact. The crown had it's eye shut to protect itself before opening it and blinking slowly once more at it's owner.
Lambert stared at the crown for a bit, before relaxing and readying themself to go into their mind and see all the fates that are going to come or stopped to continue, maybe even modified ones.
......
?...
Lambert opened it's eyes wide. What happened ?! What was going on ?! They couldn't see some fates, not a little, no, a lot of fates.
They could still see many ones but at the very least a hundred of fates had disappeared. Their was no string, or sign from these people.
How could this happened ? Lambert started to panic. How could a hundred people, a hundred fates just stop existing ? It was impossible and inconceivable to believe.
Lambert got up immediately from their bed and placed the crown on their head and started to pace around the room.
They didn't, no, couldn't understand how this happened. Lambert couldn't think that hundred people just died suddenly. It was not possible at all.
Lambert felt useless a bit. Should they call and ask the pantheon what was going on ?..
.....
No they couldn't. What if the pantheon took their godhood away for such a simple error ? They didn't want to risk it.
Lambert hold it's head wondering what to do as they look at the mirror.
The crown didn't seem fazed by what was happening. It just kept on blinking slowly and looking around.
... If the crown wasn't afraid, then that meant Lambert didn't need to panic. Lambert calm down as they stare at themselves in the mirror.
Lambert blinked slowly almost as if they were empty.
They were still to reason with itself and wondering on what to do. Was there a way to understand ? Was there a possible solution ?
Lambert thought for awhile as they now stared at the floor.
Until they had it. They blinked slowly back to life and look back at the wall where a simple card was on it.
A card with a red back that seemed intricate in it's simplicity. But also felt weird to have alone with no other cards.
Lambert stared at it. The person of the card... It was the only one who had some strange talent and visions to see what could have happened.
It was the one that told them after all most of it's future in the past and helped with giving powers when they were still crusading through the areas.
They hadn't seen, even thought of him in so long. It felt nice in a way to remember such familiarity but it also felt scary.
Scary in a way that it meant they had to see him again to help, to guide them through what was going on. It felt like the unknown was surrounding Lambert once more.
And they hated it. They didn't like it all. They didn't like not knowing anything anymore.
But it appeared life was playing with it's fate and shaked it's visions up.
Lambert thought more about it before approaching a hand toward the card. They reached to it, trembling a bit as they touched it. Their hand was shaking once the card was in it.
Lambert stared at the card, looking at the front of the card. A simple drawing was on it, showing a lamb in the middle of multiple crowns.
A symbol that Lambert had won. That was what he had told them when they had said to him they wouldn't come back.
Lambert had watch the card meticulously for awhile, before dropping his arm down to the side.
If someone was around they would have said that it felt somewhat dark and a black cloud in front of their face.
The card was still gripped into it's hand before being placed in a secret pocket inside it's cloak.
Lambert didn't have a choice. They had to find him back. They had to go on a crusade to search for him, for his guidance, for his visions and help.
For Lambert didn't like what was happening right now. They didn't like where any of this was going.
For they knew one thing for sure.
The unknow can be scary when you don't see it anymore.
This is for an idea I had of if the lamb had siblings in reality who weren't lambs so a mixed family and they were the one who gave them to be sacrificed.
The darkness that was present all around was New. Not even the pure white of all the place could prevent it from existing. Not even the once white light could prevent it from embracing the two people in the room.
Clairvoyance you know we don't have a choice this shall happen. Twi was the prophecy.
The second voice said in a mixed language coming from the past.
I know, I know I'm the one who saw this Diviny but still... Rebirthing all of them in the same time ? Shall we not do it slowly, for the lamb might be overwhelmed.
Clairvoyance voice sounded again, making it heard from everywhere but only at one place. Anyone who would hear this would have went into insanity.
Diviny sighed making it clear, all was known from the start, the vision was created and the prophecy created.
This prophecy is quite important Clairvoyance. You for most shall feel connected to twi this was all. The lamb will not find them all at the same time. Twi shall be what Fate decide after.
Diviny spoke, always acting on what felt right. The voice sounded distorted for anyone who came across him talking, driving them in a sense of panic and pain.
Clairvoyance scoffed, anyone who'd come would known how annoyed their scoff sounded.
I think you forget the lamb is not death, at the very least not completely. His new godhood is literally Fate.
Diviny growled a bit in a distorted language after what Clairvoyance said.
I do know twas. So shall twi and I hide this.
Clairvoyance looked at Diviny like something horrible was told right now between the both. The multiple eyes wide opened looking directly at the other who just said something crazy.
Are you kidding ?..
Diviny just stood there looking at Clairvoyance.
You're serious... Do you even understand what you are trying to do ?! Meddling with the power of another god like that is dangerous ! To the point you could get banned from the pantheon ! Do you even understand the risk I'm taking by just being here in the temple of life with you !? Literally just after a prophecy from a just three seconds of a vision ? I should tell the others about it ! Heck even the lamb should be informed !
Clairvoyance voice sounded more powerful and grow in speech everytime, at each sentence said. Clairvoyance should not be here, should not have told Diviny this vision. Diviny knew this perfectly well. But this... Could be ruined by the higher gods of the pantheon if they were told. Which would not be good for any of the realms if the higher intervened.
Twas know the difficulty of Clairvoyance being here but twi shall inform that if none is done it will turn out broken. Twi know how hard it is and dangerous to tune out the power of another god but the lamb shall know this and come to the pantheon by twas when Fate does not come in reality.
Diviny turned around to the stone slate showing all the land of the Old Faith. Though this name is not used anymore or known in fact. It is used only by the one who became immortal or elders who seems to never die. If not by them only ruins or written papers are the last one using those words and stories for only the Historical group who seeks the past.
Twi shall seperate all of them, the rebirth of them shall not be known, all dispersed in own past Land of no memory. Shall they befell a curse, slavery, distressed, abuse is up to this world and Fate shall not be able to change this destiny of them.
Diviny finished to speak with a breathy sigh like it would cost greatly to talk louder. Clairvoyance watched the god hunched over the tablet and moved towards it too looking down on the land Fate was in charge of. The sigh from Clairvoyance sounded like one of defeat or maybe just acceptance would be the right choice.
Then may they survive till being found by the lamb. Fate. Shall their crowns turned black to white as the prophecy wished for this, destiny wished for this. And I Clairvoyance shall oblige thee.
The stone tablet glowed a bit dispersing the heavy darkness around it just for awhile. Diviny took the Spin of Choice out and let it turn around with the help of gathererd tears. The choices felt one by one, the place they shall be reborn at choosen and what family or not they will have.
Thee shall be done now before the higher finds twi.
Diviny looked at Clairvoyance and sighed letting the power seeping out from the suposed body form chosen by the wheel. An explosion of light happened all around the both. Lighting up the room previously so dark for just a moment before being dragged inside the slate again and stopping it's glorious glowing letting complete darkness in the fall again. Diviny and Clairvoyance both looked at eachother, exhausted from the powers used. Diviny turned again at the slate and breathed only a small distorted line.
May The New Faith created by Lambert succeed from all.

Author rambling : 882 words ? Not the most I wrote but not the shortest either. Anyway hope you enjoyed the prequel of this AU, if you wish to read somewhere else, there is still Wattpad and Tumblr and Ao3. Choose which you prefer !
Warning ! This story could be seen as disturbing for some people seeing this story treats trauma, death, and a lot of other stuff. So if you feel unconfortable with all this please stay away from this story. If you're okay now then you can see what this AU about. Though this chapter doesn't talk about any of the warning yet I prefer saying right away.
Hello this is my first time deciding to write for a fandom and in the same time writing for one ! But anyway here is how this AU of cotl will work !
First of all this will be quite a mix of a lot of stuff. Some will be explained in the story, so I won't talk about these here. Some stuff will be here other will not and it's very far from canon... I think.
Secondly this AU came from reading a lot of different stuff and fanarts. With combination and my own spin of all the things I gathererd it will be either a mess or one of my best (and first) AU completely away from canon with still a bit of it.
Thirdly I'm going to tell you the bare minimum to understand the story the best you can.... In form of a short info style.
↓
Info
This AU will be quite... Special ! That's the word... But so !
In this AU none of the bishops are alive, not even Narinder. So forget all about the DLC of 'relics of the Old Faith' alright ? Though some people might do an appearance from the DLC there will not be any of the DLC after that point.
This AU is also protrayed in a very far future where the lamb, that will be called Lambert, succeeded to enter the pantheon and is not really the god of death completely anymore but the god of fate. Which he has now a different crown purely white. Lambert is now considered the only god from the Land of the Old Faith.
So with all of this come the rebirth part of it where all will be reborned with no memory of what their past life was. And Lambert will find himself creating the thing he destroyed in a new form. Which will create 'The New Faith'.

Welp this was a lot but still I feel like it's better to explain a bit or at least the starting point of it all before people judge it too quickly.
And also if there is some OOC I'm sorry but you must also understand that it's a rebirth so you'll need to wait to see how it goes.
All characters names except some which you know who, belongs to me ! And I guess how they look like.
