She let out a soft breath as she walked in through the revolving door of the hotel. With only her clothes, a purse, and her phone with her, she felt out of place. Still, she smiled and nodded at the hotel worker who greeted her as she headed towards the bar. Her heels clicked rather loudly, calling attention to herself, but she ignored it, eyes straight ahead as she walked. Nerves or not, she had the sense to keep her dignity and aura of confidence about herself. She hardly had those these days, she recalled as she slid onto a seat at the bar. With her lack of capital, she had been forced to drop out of college, working at an ice cream shop during the day and as a call girl during the night, saving up whatever she could to go back to school. She shook her head, smiling politely when the bartender asked if she needed a drink. Marilyn drummed her neatly manicured nails on the counter. She had no idea who she was looking for - she hadn’t been given a name, a description, an age, nothing.         ‘ Yeah sure whatever.’ She retorted clearly over that part of the conversation. Besides, whenever the two did ‘ break up’ it was usually because Josie got mad and called it off - even though she’d be trying to get back with him within a few hours. An overdramatic frown made it’s way onto her features as he approached her - she couldn’t even pretend to be mad at him when he smiled. As cliche as it sounded, it was probably one of her favourite things. As he cupped her jaw, a small smile unknowingly crept onto Josie’s face. ‘ fine, i mean - it’s like work but it’ll be better because I get to see your parents.’ she muttered before continuing ‘ I’m glad you noticed that you rag on me but anyways how long do I got to get ready before we leave ?’

“stop being such a party-breaker, will you?” ciara rolled her eyes as she sipped on her drink. she was really late for her meeting but it’s not like she actually cared about it. she didn’t like the ambassador not the idea of any formal meeting. “oh, come on. nobody’s gonna get in trouble. relax.” she drunkly giggled. her head was spinning. she had been drinking and dancing for two hours, surrounded by people she never seen before. it was the same every night. that’s the main reason her father hired her a personal bodyguard but it looks like not even micah can stop her from having fun. there were times like this when she wanted to be a normal person, not the president’s daughter. it was overwhelming to always have all eyes on you, people constantly watching you and waiting for you to make a mistake so they can write about it. her family tried to change her behaviour but it was no luck. there was nothing in this world that can make ciara happier than a great party.

“it might not seem like it, but y’know, i’d rather not push my luck too much.” she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t hungry. but truth to be told, all jordyn wanted to do was get out of here, out of this more than uncomfortable situation and having breakfast with him would only make her spend more time with him and that was something she wanted to avoid at all costs. she had to hold back a laugh at the statement that followed from him. of course, she had done this before, she was a pro at it, sneaking in and leaving before someone noticed. but this was the first time someone had actually caught her and not to know what was about to happen made her feel uneasy. “yeah, you could say that.” raising her shoulders in a lazy shrug she looked over at him. “every other day.” jordyn was quick to add, slender fingers fumbling with the clasp of her bracelet. “mh, i’ll most likely go and find a new place to stay at.” jordyn couldn’t help but wonder why he’d asked .. why he still hadn’t kicked her out just yet. “why?”

     & * | CHARLOTTE COULDN’T HONESTLY say whether she liked the man or not–save for the fact that she had blurted out that she did in some petty, jealousy-induced haze. She didn’t quite know him–not in a personal sense. She knew he talked filthy and could make her legs tremble with endless neediness. She knew he was closed-off, mature, and decidedly grown-up–unlike her. A point he often seemed to mull over a great deal to himself. But whatever the case was, the small, slight brunette found herself not just paired off with him, but living with him, too. The past month had been tense, the two trying to find their footing in the painstaking process of ‘settling in.’

      But that didn’t stop Charlotte from laying sprawled out on the floor, three different fashion magazines strewn haphazardly on the ground before her–flipped to random pages here and there–while little white headphones were stuffed into her ears. She was bopping her head to the latest Halsey song, humming the lyrics softly under her breath as she switched her attention between the magazines and a bottle of baby-pink nail-polish. She was lost in her own world, content with carefully coloring in her nails when the muddled voice of the older male invaded her thoughts. when he found out that marin and drew broke up honestly he wasn’t very phased by it, after all those two broke up almost every other day but when drew called him begging for marin’s new number he know that this time was going to be different. a bottle of her favorite wine in one hand and a bouquet of sunflowers in the other he gave the door a soft knock before popping his head inside. “ um… marin…. are you okay ? ”

drew hadn’t spoken to marin in almost five days, it was honestly the longest she’d gone without speaking to the girl since that fight they got into in the tenth grade. the longer she was without her the more she realized that marin may have actually been serious when she said she was done. there was only one person who she could talk to who’d maybe take her side, “ maca. ” she whined as soon as the brunette opened the door, “ i think she’s actually done with me this time. she changed her number and orion won’t even answer my calls or tell me if she’s okay. i don’t know what to do. ”
