Heaven has a new Angel today.
R.I.P Grandma
As I lay here...
awake in the middle of the night. All I can think about is my life and how it's been lately after my move back to Houston. A week and a half ago I built my own office and dream Setup. Two days ago I submitted a Commercial to one of the biggest companies on the internet. Today I got a call from a studio in Houston to come in and help them with a few projects, they wanted "me". And Tomorrow? Tomorrow is just another day at the hospital for me. Something that has started to become normal. Doctors and Nurses say I'll be fine but I still find myself scared and losing sleep every single time. This time in my life has been one of the scariest. Not that I have anything to be scared of. I'm fine, really... Or I guess "I will be" after my next surgery. But just the feeling of something being wrong with you is enough to make me scared of life. I feel like everything has been put on hold until I'm "better". Until I get these fucking tubes out of my body. Until normal becomes my life again. Can't meet with clients because I'm afraid they'll see through my talents and only focus on my health. I'm ready to date again but keep "postponing" till after my next surgery for obvious reasons. I don't leave home because I don't feel like answering the question, "are you ok?" or the infamous "what is wrong with you?". Nothing is wrong with me. I'm still the same me and I know it. Unfortunately the world around me doesn't see it like that. I look different there for I am. All they can focus on is the drains of my imperfections.
Depression is no joke
Depression makes it hard for us to enjoy the things we love the most. Believe me, I suffered from it a few years ago. Not to the point where I wanted to die but rather to the point where I didn’t love myself. When you’re depressed, you can’t access feelings of self-love. And since the love you feel for others is a reflection of the love you feel for yourself, this is why you feel disconnected. It felt like the more depressed I got, the quieter my heart got also.
My life at the time consisted of a good paying job, the most amazing person to ever come into my life, amazing friends and a beautiful apartment in a city that was even more beautiful all at the age of 23. You know?! “The Life”… Yet I wasn’t happy, and I couldn’t understand why it was so hard for me to be happy. Romantic gestures went right over my head. Work paid well but I hated my job. I’d party every weekend with friends to try to deal with the loneliness of a long distance relationship. So I started getting rid of things in my life. Things I felt like I couldn’t handle, or that I thought deserved better. I had given up everything I loved to stay with the thing that was causing my depression. All because it offered stability. Scary part was I didn’t know I was depressed till after I gave up on everything.
Fast forward to me now. Since then I quit my job to pursue my dreams of starting my own business. I may not be making much yet, but the happiness it has brought into my life is priceless. And working everyday from home making my own hours isn’t half bad…
I’m single still. Not because there’s something wrong with me. Trust me, I’m more confident now and happy than I’ve ever been in my life. It’s just that the heart wants what it wants… But promises are also promises.
I’m living back in Houston, and if you know me you know that I hate this city. But I’ve learned to make the best with what I have. Because things could be worse, I’ve been there. I mean come on… I’m writing this from the house I’ve been stuck at for two months after a surgery I just got, and I’m getting ready to go into another one in a few weeks. And I feel great.
I may not love Houston, but it’s starting to grow on me. I sure do miss Austin and my amazing friends though…
I guess what I’m trying to say is… There’s hope. Life goes on. Sometimes things will get better, and sometimes things will get worse. Just focus on yourself before you focus on anything else. Get rid of the things that are triggering your depression. Not the things that are trying to help you with it. And if you ever feel like you can’t deal with life anymore, just know you have a friend who is willing to hear you out. Even if you’re a complete stranger I’ve never met, I’m here for you. I promise.
You're the one, designed for me A distant stranger, that I will complete I know you're out there, we're meant to be So keep your head up, and make it to me

A Grandmother’s Essentials
It always baffles me how we all had the same childhood
It's like we all had the same grandma!
Just like so many others, I believe a relationship is about the future. If you can’t see yourself curled up in bed every Sunday morning with her for the rest of your life, Let her go. If you aren’t excited to take her places she’s never been before just to see the look on her face, Let her go. If you don’t love surprising her because you know she hates it, Let her go. If you can picture yourself in a place that you love, and not wish she was there with you, Let her go. If you can imagine your life without her, Let her go. Just please let her go so someone else can love her more. She deserves to be loved.

#Filmmaking is stressful...
This is one of the many reasons why I'll forever love @mirandag91. There's never a dull moment with this girl. I took the audio out, because she would kill me if I hadn't. Even though she was amazing. Happy birthday 💩, I love you.

Life lately
It's been a while since I've written on here... Well Ethan, you finally lost it. You've really finally fucking lost it. You crazy fuck. You quit a good job to follow your dreams?! Honestly, I didn't think you had the balls to do it! But I couldn't be any more proud of you. I think you realized what was making you truly unhappy. It wasn't any relationship, or personal problem. You just weren't doing what you loved, and that affected everything. You weren't following your dream, and you weren't getting anywhere near it by staying where you were. But now that you are, let me tell you something, it feels amazing. Yeah, sure it's taking off a little slow. But what start-up doesn't. Campfyre is not only your dream, but it's also what sparked your happiness. So keep doing what you're doing, and remember your roots. Yeah, you might be a millionaire the next time you read this. But just know that no matter what happens, you're working with the most talented people you know. Be grateful for them, and don't let them down. They deserve the world, so give it to them. Learn from your mistakes, and never give up.
Hey there, stranger.
It’s been a very long time, which I’m sure you’re aware of. I’d like to say that it was your decision alone to keep this distance, but I think we both know it was for the best. I’d like to say that I’m glad you are well, but as we both know I have absolutely no idea how you are. The one thing that can definitely be said is that when we cut ties, we leave no strand behind, but slice right through until we no longer remember how to find each other. It’s amazing to think that once we were inseparable, the best of friends. You knew me inside and out, and I, you. We were there for each other in the best of times and through the most difficult of times. We definitely managed to put each other through hell on occasion, but when support was needed the most, support was given. Until, of course, that final day. I sometimes find myself wondering why we couldn’t stay in touch. Would it be so bad if we got together for coffee from time to time? Or if we gave each other a ring to see how the other was doing? Using the phone to make calls has become archaic, but surely we could send a text to wish each other a happy birthday? Or a happy New Year? I mean, we’ve been through so much. You are a part of my life and there is nothing I can do to ever change that. You can’t be forgotten because forgetting you would be like forgetting myself — impossible. But then again, maybe you are right. Maybe we are better off as far apart as possible. We know we aren’t right for each other. We know it would never work, and we know the friendship we have — we had — created a bond that would make slipping back into romance too easy. It would make repeating the same mistakes too likely, repeating the same heartbreak certain. That’s what it really comes down to: It’s not my heart that I’m worried about, but yours. Breaking my own heart would be my responsibility to bear, but I can’t once again be responsible for breaking yours. So all that I can do is wish you the best. Wish you a great, bright, loving future. Wish you to find the lover of your dreams and to create a lifetime of your fantasies. I wish for you to find a friend as great as me, but a much better partner. One who won’t drag you through the mud. One who you won’t feel the need to bury with guilt. I wish you all the best and although you will never read this, although we will never speak to each other again, and although you are out of my life forever, I wish you nothing short of happiness. Never again to be yours, Your Lost Best Friend
