So interesting thing I noticed when rewatching Smells Like Trouble: it looks like Evelyn may be able to compel people (or at least Benny) to tell the truth similar to how Stern did. I noticed she did this thing where she pointed two fingers at Benny and that’s when he told her what he’d done.

What’s interesting is look at Benny’s reaction here:

Compare it to when Stern begins to spell him:

It might just be that he’s looking at the finger(s) pointed at the center of his head, but it is an interesting coincidence.

The thing that did convince me that this might be a power is the change in the score right before Evelyn does it:

It goes from lighter to something more mystical. Like the sound effect or underscoring that would go with someone using some kind of magic power.

Either way, not entirely sure if this is just me reading into things or if this is an actual power of Evelyn’s, but I thought it was an interesting thing to note.
