New photos from MBAV: The New Blood look... suspicious

do these photos look normal to you? i didn't think much about them at first. mbavthenewblood on tik tok posted these photos to their tik tok story (which apparently is a thing?), and immediately i thought it was a manipulated screenshot from the show, because why would a new reboot reuse the exact same school logo in the exact same place and way as before? usually reboots change things up in some way because these details are impossible to recreate in this way, especially after all this time. Why reuse an old chess poster from an episode that looks extremely dated? would a school realistically set in 2026 have a poster with comic sans on it?

then i decided to look at the school on google maps with help from @bettyweir who sent me the links to the location the show was filmed at. we also used this older post and help from @bloodykora sharing the address of the location to gather information. feel free to walk around whitechapel high, aka mohawk college (the mckeil school of business building) for yourself here!

if you look at these screenshots i took (which are either from 2017 or 2013, google lists two dates), the exterior had already changed from how it looked when the show filmed a few years earlier. the doors are completely different, having vertical handles that span most of the door. the image the new blood tik tok posted has completely different door handles. i bet the location looks even more different now in 2026. so at minimum those photos posted have to be from back when the show was filming, if they even are real at all.

look at these zooms. is that a third handle on the right side of the door, or just a weird shadow? with the locker photo, the lockers from the show never had vents that looked like that.

if these lockers are just a recreation for the new reboot, since the interior of the school was a set, why do the vents look like they're melting? is it just pixelation? or are these photos ai?

look at these bricks. why are there no discernible patterns in the bricks the further back the pillars go? and why are there random square bricks? the grout looking wonky could just be weird pixelation from zooming into an already low res screenshot, but i don't think there would be harsh square bricks present, especially when comparing this to the google maps photos.

this ai stuff is so scary yall. on discord we were all discussing what screenshot from the show this could have been manipulated from, it took us some time to realize this was possibly ai generated. be safe out there and use your discernment please <3
