       ‘ You do know that I have no idea what you’re talking              about, right? ‘     Don’t get her wrong, she was grateful to the cake. It smelled     amazing! But she had no clue what a birthday was. Birthdays     just wasn’t a thing in the Horde, heck... she was born in the     past so no telling when her actual ‘birthday’ was. Still, the     gesture from Glimmer was nice either way.

As the blonde turned fully to her, she couldn’t help as her blush remained and her cheeks became warmer. She took in a small breath in attempt to calm herself. “It’s alright, really. I know things must still be different here for you in Bright Moon. Don’t worry. And you’re already here now…I don’t want to shoo you away if it’s important.”

       Glimmer turned around to quickly put on her cozy nightwear, apparently it wasn’t much as a threat or battle she needs to change back into for, so it’s all good. “You’re right…we haven’t really got to talk much together. I know we’ve been busy with everything going on but I’m glad you came…even if it happened like this.” She chuckled.

    Silently, she watched as Glimmer changed into her night clothing     but averted her eyes once more when she finished and cleared     her throat. Right, no staring Adora! She really was very socially     awkward when it came to her friends, it seemed it would always     be one of her quirks being brought up in the Horde and all. With     the flush still tinting her cheeks, she walked over to the window     bench, settling upon it to talk to her friend.           ❛ How... How have you been? I know being a Queen and      all isn’t easy, especially now that we’re rebuilding everything.                     And I know you’ve been busy.... ❜           Ugh, she really wasn’t good at small talk either, but she had to           learn if she were to go around and help people restore their           villages and kingdoms. Battle talk, Adora could do. Small talk?           What was this foreign concept?

          Just as Glimmer were to change our of her wear for the night, she let out a long sigh and relieved about the day’s end. She recalled on all that she had done today, especially part of her royal duties and she wanted nothing more than to get out of these clothes and relax tonight. Although as she was already in but her underwear, she heard a loud gasp and a flustered apology. Glimmer froze, the skin of her cheeks turned to a deep red as she finally turned her head to see only Adora. She was mildly relieved, knowing it was only her best friend but she was still feeling flustered herself. 

        “A-Adora, wait! It’s okay–” Covering herself quickly and overcoming her initial shock, Glimmer reached to grab hold of Adora’s shoulder to stop her. “It’s fine, I should have locked the door myself. Did you…need me for something? If it’s urgent I can hurry and get ready to go–”

        ❛ N-no not exactly. We just... haven’t talked much and     I wanted to see how you were doing... I really need                to learn to knock first. ❜     She stuttered out, turning back toward her, redness in her cheeks     from just walking in on her like that. In the Horde it wouldn’t be such     a big deal, but here... something was definitely different. She was     just so used to just walking in that it never occurred to her to actually     announce her presence first. She could really be an idiot sometimes.              ❛ I can c-come back later if you need me to. No big           deal! Honest! ❜

   Okay so, seeing your best friend naked in the hallways wasn’t    something she had planned on her way to the training grounds    wasn’t something she had planned. She had expected to go    get some private training in, go to the showers, then get her    ration bars after, but this....         She averted her eyes quickly, a hint of a flush on her cheeks at        the sight, not wanting to be caught staring for too long.     She didn’t know what to expect when she entered Glimmer’s     room unannounced. Normally, it wouldn’t be a big deal, she     often did after all. It seemed this time, she may have should     have knocked because seeing the Queen in her underwear     was probably a little too comfortable in their friendship. Well,     for her it wasn’t so much of a big deal seeing how the Horde     had locker rooms for changing and all the females would do     so in front of each other all the time, but this....          This was vastly different.     A flush formed over her cheeks and instantly turned her back     toward her, rubbing her neck awkwardly and covering her eyes.             ❛ S-sorry Glimmer! I love Glimmer and Adora, their friendship was strained at a part but it always remained pure. Glimmer practically saved Adora from the Horde with Bow’s help so what’s not to like?
