eyes growing wide as she heard the all too familiar voice. “tracey?” the female practically whispered as she looked at the blonde. she didn’t think that she had managed to save all of them again. she thought it had only been maddy that she had managed before she showed up here. “you have to give me a minute! i’ve barely been here myself.”

“uh yes why are you acting like you forgot my name or something.” the blonde expressed, a chuckle parting from her lips. tracy remembered dying not once but twice, maybe the second comeback was what had leena on edge. as the brunette replied to her inquire, the blonde rolled her eyes. “ugh you’re killing me leena. i thought you had all the answers or whatever.” she added. “take your sweet ass time to figure it out i guess. just don’t be mad if i feed in the meantime. i know how to get what i need after all.” she shamelessly told the other.

“you.” tony’s eyes narrowed slightly as he studied the face of the woman. she was familiar. too familiar, and he couldn’t figure out where he knew her from. “you, i know you. how do i know you?” he wagged a finger before folding his arms and pressing his fingers against his chin while he racked his brain to think of where he knew this woman’s face from. it took a moment, but it dawned on him finally, like most things did if he thought about them enough. “blue meanie? is that you?”

nebula turned around as she realized someone was calling her, the sight of the male was the last thing she’d expected to see. tony and nebula had created somewhat of a friendship while they were stuck in space, part of her thought that would be the end of her, of both of them actually. “tony.” she simply said his name. he was dead, yet so was natasha and gamora, but here they were all back. when he called her blue meanie she nodded. “yes it’s me, nebula.” she responded.

“Oh!” Gilly jumped as a car headed towards her, quickly moving to the sidewalk and looking towards the strange vehicle. “I’ve never seen a carriage like that before coming here..How does it not need a horse or person pulling it?”

“sounds about right.” the red head responded, her sisters story practically matched her own. they’re both ended up in america in a very similar way. “it’s mental and it makes absolutely no sense.” she added.

it was moments like these ones that she knew she truly liked the other. everyone knew that karen was dumb, but the other was always kind and sweet about the topic. even though karen knew it herself. “i’m really not sure yet.” the blonde answered the other as she looked at the other. “do you know what you’re getting?”

“yeah actually. i think i’m gonna get the fettuccine alfredo.” she replied to her inquire. “if you can’t figure anything out maybe we can just share. you know be corny like in that dog movie.” she said, a soft chuckle falling from her lips. “and hey if this isn’t enough we can always go to taco bell afterwards.” she added with a smile, knowing quite well the other loved that place.

“excuse me…” sam whispered softly, not that he could talk louder even if he tried. but at least he could be a little vocal which was easier to communicate with the visitors in the library. he had tried to reach over the girl to put the book back in its place, but she was a little too tall for that. when he took a better look at the girl, he was surprised to see yet another familiar face. “helena?” raising his brow, they hadn’t really talked that much back home but he knew who she was. “how long have you been here? it’s good to see another familiar face.” smiling softly, he signed all that, sometimes whispering a few words and making sure he was articulating alright so she could have a shot at reading his lips and understanding what he was saying.

“sam ?” helena’s eyebrows were raised and a smile was painted across her lips at the sight of a friendly face, forgetting completely about the fact that they were in the middle of a library and allowing herself to quickly embrace him for a few seconds. although these two weren’t the best of friends, they were at least friendly to one another. helena knew that sam was a good guy, someone worth being acquainted with. at his inquire she shrugged. “a few weeks.” she responded. “i know it’s really good to see a familiar face, specially a friendly one.” she added with a smile of her own. truth was if helena would run into sam’s brother, her reaction would’ve been completely different, in fact she would’ve looked the other way. helena wasn’t fluent in sign language but she was able to understand sam and attempted to speak in a way he’s understand and be able to read her lips.

Giving the other a smile, she turned towards her and crossed her long legs. “I only come here for the entertainment.” Pam kept watch of her surroundings then looked back at the girl beside her. “My deal? Hmm. Maybe it’s the fact you are shoving greasy, carbohydrates into your mouth instead of having an intellectual conversation with me, gorgeous.” 

“you call this shit entertainment ?” she inquired as she looked around, there were a few drunks on the bar, people playing pool, others sitting down and eating, not particularly what buttercup considered entertainment. she got entertained by flying, using her powers and kicking ass. and sometimes a good netflix show but that fell under a completely different form of entertainment. “i am speaking to you now, this seems to be a conversation to me. all while i keep eating my fries. multitasking is a thing, babe.” she added bluntly.

Eddie had just been on his way home, minding his own business when someone caught his attention. Tilting his head to the side as he watched the woman speak to a group of men, he frowned a little. “Y-You okay?” he called out, a little uncertain if she needed any help. Better to be safe than sorry and stay in his lane.

“i’m alright.” hope responded as the young male approached the situation verbally while staying at a distance. “these asses just think i can’t take care of myself which i found funny.” hope did not have her suit on, but she did have her skills, she was ready to begin kicking their bums. hope was an expert on martial arts, although she lived her suit and the ability to change in size, the art she was learned was her personal favorite defense mechanism.
