"do you have trigger words, but what they trigger is something positive?" jess swiveled her stool toward the person next to her as she spoke. "for example, i have trigger words but what they trigger is a song." which wouldn't be so bad except— "and then i have to sing it to get out of my system."

killian looked at her, "i can't say that i have positive trigger words," he shook his head. "i don't have many negative ones anymore though either, so i consider that a plus side."

"That happens here, I don't know why. People either have their memories of their lives before this place or they don't. And if they die it switches. Nothing has been able to explain it, no matter how much searching I've done. I don't know if that makes it a little better for you or not... that you're not alone." Eloise shrugged. I'm trying to be a better person." Kind certainly wasn't a word that could always be used to describe her.

"Oh.." Gregory frowned."You're so kind.. I wish I remembered," he said. How could e miss a life he didn't know of? He could sense that she was telling him the truth though; she would have no reason to lie to him about being siblings. "It does explain my sharing the last name of so many." He wanted so desperately to make sense of it all. "Well you've been nothing but kind to me."

"oh my god, tell me about it. I used to love Elote, but right now, i dn't think i could enjoy it without nightmares." jake admitted with a shake of his head. "this city really knows how to ruin a good thing, doesn't it?"

"I admit it takes a bit to shake me, but this has me on edge still," Ragnor shook his head. "To be stuck like that.. not knowing.. no thank you." He was used to at least having some kind of control but this was something new. "It's sad really. Corn is such a nice vegetable."

Placing a finger under Oliver's chin, he smiled softly. "There was just something about you that I couldn't ignore. You have the most beautiful smile. I think that disarmed me"

"And here I thought you were only after information," Oliver teased. He knew that that played a large role in why Connor first approached him, but it quickly became much more than that to both of them.

"Oh stop it you. You are not so bad yourself. Never sell yourself short, baby" Kurt told him, cupping his face. "You are so bright, so kind and so beautiful"

"I.. know I shouldn't, but I've never really been anyone's number one before, you know?" Kevin shrugged. Kurt saw him in a way he wasn't sure that his other past boyfriends had.

"that's for certain," peggy sighed. she didn't understand how things like this kept happening, but it seemed to be the new normal. "best to be prepared and get used to strange happenings," she agreed.

(¸.• ♛ → she turned around when she heard a familiar voice, a small smile was on her lips and nodded. "yeah, i'm okay, a few bruises here and there but nothing deadly." and nothing that she couldn't handle at least. "how about you? you good?"

he was always relieved to see her okay. he cared deeply for her and knew he couldn't handle should something happen. "i'm okay," he promised. "confused by this city even more, but okay."

susannah wanted to be alive again and at the same time not. she did not like how her life ended. could not see her children grow up, or see what their future looks like ❝ life is ― ❞ paused, biting on her lower lip. was confusing. you don't know what will happen in the future or after your death ❝ a roller coaster. i thought when we die, we stay dead. not end up in a fake world that looks like a real city. i do know this is not what it seems because i died. i should not be alive. why did they bring us here? ❞

jeremiah could only stare at her. every time he went to say something, he wasn't sure what to say. he wasn't even certain that it was her, but she looked exactly like his mom. his mom he thought was dead and here she was saying she was supposed to be dead. "mom?"

calleigh turned in the direction she believed the voice came from. perhaps she could meet this person then they work together to find their way out. as if four eyes unable to even see their feet in front of them would be better than two, but the investigator didn't dwell on the details. "i'm calleigh. it's nice to, kind of, meet you." she yelled into the dark. "are you injured or in need of any assistance, oliver?" she asked, a habit of her profession.

"thank you for the help back there," oliver said. "i wasn't sure that i could have made it out without your help," he admitted. had she not shown up, he could have still have been stuck in the maze.

"A mini beach" Laura whispered, just letting the idea linger in her mind for a couple of seconds. The mention of a volleyball court made the blonde sigh. "I do think that would be a better idea. That way we don't have to carry around heavy bags of sand"

Jeremiah took his phone out of his pocket and searched for outdoor volleyball courts in the city. "According to Google, there's a sand volleyball court nearby," he said, showing her the phone.

(¸.• ♛ → the woman took his hand and gave him a small squeeze. "i don't know." she admitted, a small sigh escaped from her lips, the blonde would love to be positive about this but knowing this city, it was hard to say that it was going to be quiet for some time. "i hope so but this city is pretty unpredictable."

"i wish we knew more about the city. the magic.. what controls it," killian sighed. "i still don't know if i should be glad our family is or isn't here," he frowned. "i miss them, but they always were helpful in a situation like this."

it's not a surprise to see peggy standing before him. but it is a relief to know she was still here. "good to see you, peggy." he greeted as he walked towards her.

peggy was always happy to see the familiar face of sargent barnes. "always a pleasure, mr. barnes," she smiled. "have you eaten? i was thinking about trying the new cafe down the road."

"I don't ever want my magic to be combined with the town. It's so powerful and dangerous and it sometimes fills me with dread. Just how unpredictable all of this is" he sighed.

"It's been some time where magic has felt so uncontrollable," Ragnor agreed. It was a strange city, one he feltl ike he was still getting used to. "Do we know the source of the magic?"

"Sharma. I am however married to a Bridgerton. The eldest son. I have a sneaking suspicion that you do not remember who that is" she told him and then tilted her head to the side. "Am I wrong?"

"You are? The eldest.. that's Anthony, yes?" Gregory asked. He had given the brief overview of the Bridgerton family. "Ah, correct. I'm afraid I don't remember being a Bridgerton. Or at least not that kind of Bridgerton.."

"definitely not, no." she lets out a tense laugh, shrugging. "keeps things exciting, i suppose. but i think i'd rather be bored."

"that's true," kevin nodded. "i'm used to the mystery of a city too, so it almost feels strangely like home."

(¸.• ♛ → "yeah, it seems like it." but still, death was death so it was just hard all the same. "over for now at least. it's very confusing how this city works, i don't know why they keep throwing all of this at us."

"it's getting exhausting not knowing when something is going to happen and when they'll just let us be," klaus sighed, shaking his head. "i wish we could figure out some kind of pattern for it."

"Oh, yeah. I'm okay." Jake smiled at the other and nodded. "I have been through worse, honestly. I'm just glad that it is over." He admitted. "I wasn't a fan of being surrounded by all of that corn."

"Good.. I'm glad.." Ragnor nodded. The last thing he wanted was for someone to be injured on his watch. "i don't think I'll be able to look at corn for some time."
