OOC; leaving the ring.
[ Hi guys. It's with so much regret that I have to say goodbye to all of you. I just don't have the time to rp at the moment, and I can't see things calming down anytime soon. I’ve had a lot of fun here, but it doesn't feel right to take hiatus after hiatus and possibly deprive you of another England player who'd be a lot more active than me: you each deserve better.
It was so nice meeting everyone. I’ll particularly miss a good handful of you. I hope we can keep in touch! I wish you, and this lovely ring, so much luck for the future! Maybe I'll return some day, who knows. <3 ]
You're like a pot of tea. Hot, steaming and healthy for my body. ;)
Careful, you might get burnt - or lose yer bloody biscuit if you insist on dunking it so damned tactlessly.
aphchurros:
“You shouldn’t,” he responded truthfully. “I mean- I would love it if you and I could actually get along and become amigos, considering are dorm room’s are side-by-side and we share some classes.” He stood beside Arthur, his arm swinging over to his shoulder, “But we can start again, si?”
There was a bit of a pounding in Antonio’s head after speaking such words. He considered it to be a sign, or perhaps some kind of warning to ‘get out of there, and abort this mission immediately,’ but of course, he didn’t heed it. Releasing his hold on the Brit, Antonio turned on his heels, pointing over at the direction of the gate. “There is a little barber shop nearby. It’s small because it is run by a family, but they are very kind,” he pointed at his own hair, “they give me a trim every now and then, and for free. Maybe because I sometimes go there to help them clean up or sing songs for them.”
Slipping his hands into his pockets, he began walking ahead, but soon stopped in his tracks, looking back. “Come on, ‘a-mi-go’. They don’t stay open for too long, only until 2. If we don’t go now, you won’t get your hair cut. Unless you are going for that long hair look. It’d look funny on you.”
“Hmph...” He instantly shrugged Antonio’s arm away, choosing to say nothing in response to his little heart-warming (more like vomit-inducing) speech. It would take a lot more than a ‘let’s start again’ for Arthur to overlook all those humiliating incidents involving sparkly pink tutus and green dye and the ruining of beloved books. His poor opinion of the dancer was set in heavy stone now, and if Antonio truly wished to sink said stone, he’d need a hell of a lot of resilience and determination in order to do so, because Arthur certainly would make it easy for him.
However, for now the Brit needed a sodding haircut, and the cheaper the better as it stood. Though he wasn’t expecting to get anything for free, he’d be quite willing to do a bit of cleaning up or performing if it meant he wouldn't have to spend his meager wages on something that might be considered an indulgence. It’s a rare and desperate case in which Arthur would willingly go along with a suggestion of Antonio’s, but that is what he did.
With the swallowing of his pride, and balling of his fists, Arthur turned to catch up with the Spaniard, quiet and brooding as he did, shoulders hunched. It was an odd sense of curiosity that finally broke the blond’s silence. “So you sing, as well as dance like a pansy-arsed prat,” he murmured. “Are you any good on guitar?”
bujorvivace:
Really? Alright, I’ll ask him next.
Oh yeah– Do you know anything about, um…dating?
... Dating? [ Alright-- he was not expecting this sort of question.]
I’m aware of the basics, I suppose, I... [ Actually, no, he knows absolutely naff-all about dating, but he can’t exactly admit that, can he?] Erm, w-why do you ask?

Arthur, despite all his apparent bitterness, was a true fan of sweet things; especially those in the form of cakes and biscuits, but it was his severe lack of cash that had kept him deprived from these small pleasures, which only added to his misery as of late.
Until now he’s made a point of avoiding the school bakery, telling himself to stare straight ahead, resist the temptation as he walked past it each morning, but Arthur had been feeling particularly down these last few days, which meant the scent of comforting, freshly-baked pastries were particularly hard for the Brit to resist.
Hiking his satchel a bit further upon his shoulder, the fourth-year frowned at his own pathetic weakness as he slipped through the front door of the bakery, and there he stood, simply staring at the marvelous selection of cakes on display before him, whilst his stomach grumbled.
Welp-- if this was not utter self-inflicted torture, then he had no idea what was.

Feliciano had just found himself a nice little area to have his own personal picnic. All of his favorite things littered the table. Sure, he could probably eat everything in sight if he was allowed too. Following the advice of his roommate he decided to possibly share his little feast with the next person he saw. Or at least offer them something. He scouted the area until someone caught his attention. “Excuse me, would you like to share some the treats with me?” It was a simple question yes possibly, maybe he could make a new friend today. “My big sister gave me too much and you look use a break, so what do you say?” He smiled brightly at the blond before him.
It would’ve been a huge fat lie, if Arthur were to state that the irresistible smell of food had not lured him towards the picnic table like some sort of starving orphan. He simply wished to have a harmless look, that was all, but the Brit was not quite prepared for the feast that emerged before his eyes - or at least, it certainly seemed like a feast to a growing lad who’d been living on nothing but god-awful cheap sandwiches for weeks on end. It was quite possible that his eyes might have appeared close to popping out own head, lips parting somewhat as his mouth unwillingly began to salivate. “Bugger me, that looks wonderful,” he even muttered aloud, not realizing it.
The young Italian’s words startled him, bringing him back to the here and now, and Arthur gave a light jolt, pointing rather hesitantly at his own chest. “Oh, you mean me?” His eyes fell down over the food again, and he swallowed hard. Arthur was not about to argue with the others intuition that he could use a break, because it was correct, and it could no doubt be sensed in his tired stature and somewhat gaunt appearance. “That’s an extremely kind offer, are you quite sure?” Arthur wanted to confirm he hadn’t been hearing things, before stepping any further forward.
“I wasn’t that hungry.” He said. He couldn’t eat before because of all the guilt and sadness, but now that Arthur forgave him, his appetite was back in full force. He decided not to mention how starved he suddenly felt. “At least they’re better than your boring lunch.” He teased back.
“Am I what?“ He asked innocently. “Hungry? Nooo.” He lied, averting his eyes.
“Mm… strange. Maybe you’re finally gaining a human appetite, as opposed to the appetite of an elephant,” Arthur absentmindedly responded, whilst his thoughts were still taken-up by the curious question he seemed unable to mouth. He brought head down on his arms and breathed a rather hopeless sigh. It bothered him, Alfred’s comment: ‘It wouldn’t be the first time.’
What the frig was that supposed to mean, anyway? And why couldn’t he just man up and ask? Perhaps he was afraid of what he might hear, perhaps he wasn’t really sure what he wanted to accept as a response. For some reason, he felt anxious.
No, no-- it’s best if he doesn’t ask. It’s better not to know. Oh, but bloody hell, he wanted to know, and if he didn't ask, it would only continue to bug him.
Lovino had to pull his eyes away as well as himself together trying not to ruin his hiding post. Sighing in relief they didn’t appear too ‘scary’. He stood there silently hand over his mouth keeping his laughter contained as he listened to the others’ reaction to him throwing the tomato at them in the first place.
He had missed La Tomatina, this year on account of deciding to return early to be with the friends he had acquired. So why not bring a little fun and mischief to UWAA seeing as he missed the water war that was held earlier in the summer. Maybe he should have found someone who would have enjoyed this. He managed to calm himself down just enough to peer out slightly before ducking back.
Now he was calling him out, dare he come out into the open and accept his fate. Nope not unless he was given a good reason to, oh and there it was. The one B-word he felt strongly about.Even though the Italian disliked the word he was probably the living embodiment of the word. Armed once more with a tomato from the small box he had beside him he stormed out. “Who do you think you are calling me a brat? You moldy biscotti!” He spoke once more allowing a tomato to be released from his fingers, aiming for his face this time.
Certainly, the Italian would have been much better off finding someone actually willing to play along with him beforehand, some strange sod who perhaps found sick enjoyment in being pummeled by disgusting tomatoes -- because that someone definitely was not Arthur Kirkland.
First of all, he despised the smell of the revolting things, and second: the bloody juice stained, and the last thing the British teen could afford right now were any new clothes– so yes, he was extremely annoyed; raging in fact, and the moment he spotted the unfamiliar figure emerge from behind a tree, the blond’s fists clenched tight at his sides, and he stomped towards him, quickly dodging the incoming tomato by about an inch. This brat had a good aim, but it was not that good!
“Tch— I highly suggest you run, tosser! Unless you wish be hung from that goddamned tree by the goddamned balls! It’s not polite to throw food at innocent bystanders! Where the bloody hell are your manners!?”

“I’ll give you money for however much you’re losing for not going in today. And I’m sure my mom wouldn’t mind sending me money for you along with me.” She said gently, sitting down on the edge of the couch. “And I was just here to see how you were since we haven’t had any contact in months. Also, I have some kind of news for you about me if you want to hear about it.”
Arthur could do nothing but frown in irked response to Alice’s offer. He turned quiet, and brooding as a result. The last thing he wanted was for his sister to think of him as some pitiful charity case. How utterly demeaning for a boy who’d grown up surrounded by wealth and prestige. Now he was here with nothing, and for others to offer him money? Not even as a loan, but to keep? It made him feel pathetic, bitter, angry at himself and all his stupid, rash, life-changing decisions which he was far too stubborn to ever be able to go back on. He shouldn’t have mentioned his money worries to her at all. It was no one’s business - best to keep his problems private - he did not need a soul to pity or look down on him whilst he was here.
“I don’t need anything from a anyone, Alice. I especially don’t need your mother’s charity,” he stated. Had it been money from their father– well, he might have considered that, but Arthur had given up on the hopes of ever receiving anything from him a long time ago. He sighed, running a tired hand over exhausted eyes, before turning to face her again, voice a bit hoarse. “Yes, I’d much rather hear your news than continue on with this subject. I hope it’s something positive.”
His words didn’t scare him off. They didn’t seem to carry the deathly aura such as the threats spoken to him during the ‘dye’ fiasco. Lowering his hand, he placed both palms against his waist. The smile he carried had not faltered one bit. “Really? That is a shame then, amigo. I am pretty good with cutting hair, and I would’ve been able to make you look really cool.”
“I have an idea. If you do not trust me with cutting your hair, then how about I show you to someone who can do it for free too, or at least, a good price? It’s okay if you do not want to, I will just have you drag you along with me again and snip at your hair myself.” Of course his latter words were merely empty threats, or rather, a joke in his mind. He just wanted to ‘fix’ whatever this relationship was. One less person wanting to murder him was highly ideal.
“Tch--” He turned aside, crossing his arms over his chest, his harsh scoff evoking complete rancor and distrust towards the other male. “Why should I believe a single word you have to say, Carriedo?”
The Brit was quite convinced that Antonio’s existence on this planet was perhaps meant only to cause him nothing but bother and severe frustration, not to mention land him into the most ridiculous situations, and Arthur was tired, he was exhausted. He was over-worked, yet still skint and hungry and without much to show for it, and the utter stress of his situation had been keeping him up each night. He felt close to collapse, though he was barely holding it together-- and so he wasn’t remotely interested in Antonio’s, or anyone’s, silly immature games.
Arthur huffed, torn between flipping the wanker off or actually going along with him to see this obscure individual who’d cut his hair for free. He narrowed his eyes, turning to face the Spaniard. “If this person you speak of truly is as cheap as you say, then fine, I’ll go with you, but if not -- if it turns out to be some sort of ridiculous trick -- then I swear, mate: I’ll plug you so hard in the face that you’ll be shitting teeth.” In comparison, Arthur’s threat didn’t sound quite as hollow as Antonio's had.
Quick! Think of someone! Whoever that is, is the person you want to kiss. Was it someone attractive? Someone you like? Perhaps even hate? Oh, mystery!

The play scene in ‘Hamlet’ ~ Daniel Maclise Tate Britain, Room 1890… Noted for varied expressions within the crowd and the use of dramatic lighting to highlight the white clad lady.
She followed him, silent, holding her backpack close. It was filled with many books and she needed to return them, before the librarian got mad at her. She walked beside him, keep up, and finally, breaking the silence. “I’m Natalya.” She said. Her name matched her form – pretty, graceful. She said nothing else though for a while, “I’m a second year.” She finally added.
He led straight ahead, before taking a sharp turn left and guiding her out towards the courtyard. The school was huge, but especially huge was the impressive library -- one of only three places that Arthur was actually rather fond of here on campus. The library was its own building, lovely and old, and had a number of floors; each floor dedicated to a particular discipline.
“Arthur Kirkland,” he responded, holding open the door leading out to the courtyard for the girl. “Fourth-year,” he eyed her from the side, sliding his hands in the pockets of his blazer as he carried on walking. “Let me guess; dance discipline?” Something about her stride and posture -- he could tell she was a dancer. “Are you from Russia?”
