When I was early on in my transition I got in a Lyft, and the driver was this big country guy. I was a little nervous so I just sat quietly in the back.

After a moment he changed the music on his phone to what sounded like a Hatsune Miku song. Curiosity got the better of me, so I finally spoke up and said “is this Hatsune Miku?”

And he said “Yep. You looked uncomfortable, and I know Transgender women like Hatsune Miku, so I thought it might help.”

I think about that interaction a lot.

Reminder, analytical AI and generative AI aren't the same. While I loathe generative AI and feel there is no ethical way to use it at this time, analytical AI can serve valuable purposes in many fields.

So, I’m not sure if I’ve ever talked about it, but Asvald (Valkari’s biological father) has four sisters. I started thinking more in depth about them and who they were a while back and pondering whether Valkari would ever meet any of her aunts. While three of them have gone into lives that moved them out of Skyrim, one is a merchant in Solitude. Laufey is the youngest of Asvald’s sisters and currently lives happily with her wife, Ragna, a solitude guard. Ragna is strict, gruff, has a reputation for being quite intimidating and is easily flustered by her very affection wife.

They own a small farm together.
