did you delete your old art? I liked looking at em, they felt very nostalgic hehe will you ever be interest in sharing your art evolution across the years?
Greetings from someone who follows you on facebook<3
Hello I didn't delete my old art! My page got hacked a few years ago (the one where I had around 70k followers), I think facebook has either been glitching or it has taken down the page, because now my old page shows up without profile picture and banner and the images are gone (for me, but my friends can see them? at least some of them!) I went too the police because the hacker tried to impersonate me, but nothing could be done because facebook doesn't cooperate with the police apparently? So yeh, I have a new page with my username, but my old page has either been taken down or idk... to be honest, I don't like my old work and I don't feel proud of most of it, so I don't mind it's gone. I'll try compiling some of my older work (that I can still look at) and do a redraw sometime!
Have you watched nanatsu no taizai?
Nope! My parents did tho!
What is your advice for like coming up with fairy ocs that are interesting or like have interesting powers. I’m having trouble with making my own fairy group and could use some advice
I always recommend people to watch One Piece because it has some insane character powers that seem kinda dumb but are actually lethal.
You don't need to watch the show tho, there are tons of compilations of powers, here's the devil fruit encyclopedia! Maybe you see a random power that inspires you? Not sure if you are going for a theme, but it's a good way to start, too. You can also try doing what I call "lateral thinking" instead of literal thinking (which one piece does a lot!) EX: Imagine your characters have powers related to the zodiac; The Zodiac is also related to the 4 elements, thus you can give them different powers around different elements ( fire, water, air and earth). Or you can do it by aesthetics and what each zodiac kinda "reminds you" of based on the common portrayal of these. Example: Gemini is usually represented by 2 people or by a person looking at themselves in the mirror, so you can give your "gemini" fairy powers related to illusions, creating clones of themselves or reflecting attacks. Try thinking about symbolism and not only about literal meanings.
Do you have any tips for keeping character design constant? I'm transitioning from that phase where you only draw one character over and over, into trying to build up my list of OCs. There's a few more characters I'm trying to make, but every time I draw them they look completely different from the original design I used.
Since you're currently working on a big project with lots of characters, I was hoping you'd have some tips on how to remember so many different designs and looks for a high number of characters.
The easiest way is to use references! Make a reference sheet for one character and reference it back whenever you need. You can make notes on how you drew certain things, like, for example, a character having a very round head you can make a note to "start the head doing a circle" or the direction of the lines in the hair. Then it's just a matter of following the reference.
May I ask how you render gold/metal 👉🏾👈🏾😭 I found your eye render tutorial super helpful.
It depends, but I usually use gradient layers!
This material is you can get those in the Clip Studio Asset Store! Those cost 50 Clippy specifically, they are the ones I use the most.
You basically do the color in B&W, and then with a gradient map you can color it! The details and textures depend on your taste and art style tbh
May I ask if you have any advice on what canvas sizes to use? I'm always a little confused about that depending on whether I'm drawing a bust up Character/headshot, a half-body, full body or more detailed drawings with a landscape. And if you also have any advice on export dimensions, I'd appreciate it. I understand if this is asking too much.
If you use Clip Studio Paint, you have a few presets! I use the A4 preset at 300 dpi, which would be 2480x3508 px as shown below. That's always my starting point, and sometimes I cut the canvas to be a square for headshots and halfbodies (so 2480x2480) , but it really depends on how the drawing is! I don't usually go lower than 2000x2000 pixels, but I know some people draw in smaller canvases.
I don't change my canvas much before saving in a different format, like .png or .jpeg I tend to draw in this format because I find it easier and I like to imagine I might end up printing whatever I do (I never do lmao). It really depends on a lot of stuff really! Like for example if you want to post the image online, sometimes you gotta take into account the size of the website display (you can google every display option for any social media post) I recommend always going bigger than what they show (EX: A HQ screen size for a wallpaper, for example, is 1920x1080, but I recommend multiplying the number so your canvas is bigger)
What this true?
Yeah! Soon we'll start posting the volunteers on Instagram and we may need more people eventually (specifically translators). All artists and writers are volunteers, except for anything extra (like 3D models, and I want to add music too), which will be paid out of pocket by me.
If anyone wants to support me and the project, you can donate on my Ko-fi! <3
It's not much, but it's honest work by a bunch of passionate creatives who love Winx!
If you don't mind me asking, what dpi do you use for only digital art? I've been having doubts about that, I was wondering if you had any advice please.
Hi! I never go lower than 2000x2000 pixels and usually work on 300dpi!
Did you delete your Pinterest boards? I remember following your Pinterest and loving the boards you had (especially the one for hands) 😭
I probably made them private! I don't like showing my pinterest boards tbh ;u;
Holaaaaaa te sigo desde q tenias tus oc de svtfoe y hoy me agarro la nostalgia entonces quise buscarlos en tu perfil con las etiquetas pero ya no los encuentro, ¿los borraste? O solo no supe buscar ay sjjska
Hola! Archivé mis posts viejitos para tener todo un poco mas organizado!😅
Hello! Quick question, did you change your portfolio page? I thought you used wix before and now it's made by caard, why? Do you use caard pro?
I do have carrd pro for the sliders and to be able to have more than one page (tho I haven't made more than one yet)
I ditched WIX because it's associated with Israel and supports generative AI, and I don't want to associate with them anymore.
Not me just now learning about this hello???? wtf?
I just learned about this too. I doubt it's as common knowledge as this person thinks it is, even among the bigger creators in the space. I'm glad the knowledge is picking up steam now though, hopefully this'll be common to talk about soon.

Hello back again with another update since I have encountered people either denying the legitimacy of the leaks or stating that "those are just explorations, not necessarily the final designs."
Anyway both are wrong. Lemme explain:
Regarding the legitimacy, I have a friend in the animation industry who confirmed not only that the leaks were legit, but also that it happened to other studios and projects.
Basically a lot of animation studios use an online storage service that went through a leak issue and a lot of projects and studio work got in the hands of people who sold them on telegram groups for a price.
The Winx Leaks, for what someone else told me, not only got that basic treatment of being auctioned like the rest, but also people with ill intent decided to pick "the worst" concepts of the show and spread them in an attempt to create bad advertisement of the show ( the same person told me the leakers were MLB fans because apparently there's beef between the Winx and MLB fandom since Thomas Asstruck twitted some shitty comments about Winx) .
Anyway, my friend in the industry confirmed that they saw the Winx leaks alongside other companies' works and that they were legitimate. Being directly affected, people in the industry were the first ones to find out about the leaks.
What about the designs shown being explorations?
Well, the Rainbow teaser lowkey debunked that by showcasing some models that resemble a lot the leaked concepts.
Exhibit A:
AI usage has been especially obvious with secondary and background characters. They are v small and the camera movement and blur effect makes it kinda hard to see, but there are 2 of the background witches leaked. The color schemes and silhouettes seems to be the same.
Exhibit B:
Again it's hard to see because of the fast movement, but you can see the specialists' outfits seem to match the ones in the AI generated concepts. Riven even has the ugly sideways hairstyle.
Exhibit C:
With Faragonda's design, the giveaway for me in the concept were her shoes, but they didn't show in the trailer. She has like 2 scenes of half a second. I managed to take this ss where you can see her hairstyle and clothes are the same as in the concept. I have no issue with the clothing since I'm sure that's someone's overpaint, tho. The rest I'm not so sure...
Reblogging this again because I just saw @cartoon-worlds posted this picture of the leaked witch and here it's more clear!
UPDATE: Not only the visual department was affected, but the audio department too.
I got sent 2 storyboards and I got 2 different people who work with audio confirm to me that Aisha's voice in one clip is AI generated and in a different clip of Musa singing, the song is also AI generated.
I understand they are placeholders, but the VA of Stella has said before that they did record placeholder audio, I don't understand why they would replace an actress with AI?
I have also been told Elisa Rosselli works as composer and singer, Idk why they used an AI Generated song instead of paying her...
Oh wait. That's the point. Saving as much money as possible by not paying people to do their job.
I have both clips saved, but I don't want to be the one to post them because it's not my area of expertise and I would rather that someone who knows about audio posted them and explained why they believe to be AI.
Again, the issue is not that "everything on the show is AI slop", but the foundation of it is, and audio placeholders and concept art are labor that must be paid. That's the point. Pay people to do the job instead of using AI!
Everyday we strive further away from God.
New info just dropped!
Try denying the Generative AI allegations now, Rainbow. :)))))
Literally asking for a "Prompt engineer" are you f*cking kidding me?
