once more, etrigan shoved jason hard, this time by the shoulders. he could only attempt to get a rise out of him – it was the only way he’d end up getting his WAY. he saw how jason was nowadays. he wasn’t as hotheaded as he used to be, not so tortured. now, he just seemed … tired. and sad. like he didn’t care what happened to him. etrigan almost MISSED the jason that used to FIGHT BACK. in the unseen plane where they could touch, etrigan grabbed his chin ‘tween his fingers, jerking his chin upward, expression pensive and IRRITATED.

“ – something is AILING thee, to make thee so cross. if we TRADED PLACES, these woes thou couldst toss. blood, why must you hesitate in simply letting me LOOSE? no human life surrounds us, therefore no horrors may i induce!” he hated himself for stooping to negotiating, fyi.

Do you remember how much horror you induced into our worlds, Both of them? How many had needlessly suffered? That because of Etrigan, children are always in danger, their children. One lies dead, the other gone from his life forever, along with the woman he loved. There is no mercy in his heart for the other, not anymore.

Jason is alone with the demon, and it shows in how he lived his life. A man drinks to run away from his demons, Jason drinks to put him away.

A quick jerk of the chin, his expression equally irritated. The realm of touch, private between the two was a source of annoyance within the other.

“What ails me is you Etrigan! You and you alone! And there is no escaping you, our lives entwined by that damm wizard!” Jason was Etrigan, Etrigan was Jason, or whatever the case of this universe, the two can never escape one another unless another divergence happens. Or hell comes again. “Whats to stop you from spreading horrors among the mortals and innocence of the land?” A quick hop and a portal is all it took ...

HE BASICALLY PUTS his whole hand on jason’s head and SHOVES – the aggression of such an action somewhere between PLAYFUL and completely VIOLENT – looking at the other in something akin to DISDAIN. “you have done much to make my life a mire / i begin to believe you are WILLFULLY spurring my ire! i understand not why you ENTRAP the demon so. why not simply say the words that he might GO? ‘tis the enchantment we both know too well you must speak, or else in the ‘scape of our conjoined minds, etrigan swears he will SHRIEK!” all of this is to say: HE’S BORED. he wants to stretch his legs. he’s not above PESTERING jason until he gets some free time.

In the physical realm, Jason winces, his mind almost breaking. A bottle of alcohol in his hand to lessen the blows that Etrigan the demon tends to shows. Great he’s ryming too, they’ve been too close for too long. Its not healthy.

Than again neither of them were healthy enough for reality itself. Etrigan had so many issues and Jason, doubly so. But again, he curses Merlin with all his might. If only he had vanquished the demon right there and than instead of making him suffer.

“Enough demon, You will get your turn, once the moon is covered by clouds and cannot be seen.” Which means the next new moon which is a month away. But they both know that won’t happen, crime doesn’t wait for anybody and neither does the absurdly long amount of people and demons that want to get back at Etrigan. Etrigan was efficient in killing his enemies unlike the others heroes.

“Its for the best.” After all, even with all that everyone in the JL watch tower has been through, those with magic have literally the worst experience , sometimes being seperated among dimensions and what not. Still the king could pay closer attention to magic, even a tiny bit. But thats not his problem, well it will be eventually but not now.

“J’onn and emergencies? Right now? Strange , he’s not on watch tower duty today.”
