I JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Maybe you haven’t noticed, brother… but I’m not one of you.

This was like really funny 😂
Arthur by Dima Ivanov.
I'm really excited about the Snyder cut (give me all that Diana kicking ass and Arthur with flowy hair and doing cool things with water any day) and I was wondering your thoughts about it coming out
apologies, this question came to me a while back. but i feel like i can reply now with a reflection of the snyder cut?
i won’t go any great detail. i have to say i had mixed feelings because i was hardly expecting to suddenly have an actual comic accurate arthur on my screen but i was still curious to see snyder’s vision.
overall, it was definitely absolutely and without a doubt a way better version than what we got in the original theatrical cut. we actually have some level of arc for most characters, cyborg is beautifully at the centre of it all, his story makes sense and is heart-breaking but... i won’t make this too spoilery.
diana is a total badass and she has some great moments and tbh most of them are great.
for me arthur very much felt like reading arthur in a team up comic. he is there, but his lines hardly make much impact. yes, he opposes the idea of bringing back clark at times but he pretty much argues with everything without any particular effect. he gets one line as ‘character development’.
but again, that’s not my arthur. my arthur is the arthur that pretty much existed from around the 70′s up until the reboot and then continues when new52 started. i usually rant at people about this enough so i won’t get too deeply into it.
but most people know if batman or superman is done right or not because they’re so deeply ingrained in pop culture. what people know about arthur is a total misconception based on one stupid cartoon that reflects the comics 0% and yet people think they know him and usually their solution is to ‘fix him’. usually by apparently making him an aggressive asshole.
hook hand arthur was the first attempt at that in the comics, and a lot of people had that as their first intro to arthur and they love it and i don’t have an issue with that. among those people is my beloved shish ( @aquarad ) and she is valid.
it doesn’t change the fact before his appearance arthur was a very different person in the comics. then new52 brought a new revival, a back to basics arthur and i think he’s neat. you will never not find me wildly flailing as i point to those pages. he can be a soft yet powerful yet flawed man and he is utterly cool. he doesn’t need to be edgy. that’s my aquaman.

the snyder cut was sure way better than the whedon version
still not my aquaman
*tangoes out*
people who say ‘the aquaman animated series is just a kids show’ to shut down those who are unhappy with it...
weren’t these kids shows?
I just started watching Stargate Atlantis and Jason's character Ronon is basically just 2004 au Arthur. ALSO BEING IN A SHOW CALLED ATLANTIS??? THEN BEING AQUAMAN????
Yeah, I have to say, Jason Momoa has been playing Jason Momoa for quite some time now. I truly wished they would push him a bit for Aquaman so he plays Arthur. Yes, he embodied some traits of him but I will never accept Arthur as some dudebro.
But the coincidence of him being in Stargate Atlantis then later becoming Aquaman, the king of Atlantis, that is some rare thing right there.
this new aqua.man cartoon?
